One side of the property is bound by Emu Creek and the other by Girard Creek, both creeks have enough water with some permanent deep water holes for all year activities. Sightseeing inside the property we have Girard Falls, a 50m high waterfall, nature at it's best. In the vicinity you have the Clarence river at Paddy's Flat Road and Hootons Road within minutes drive from the property. The only entry into the property is by Emu Creek Rd a gravel road. Emu Creek Retreat is located in the far north-east of New South Wales. We are approximately 200 km from Brisbane, Toowoomba and Gold Coast, 150km from Byron Bay. Tabulam is the nearest town 12km away. Fuel and groceries are available at Tabulam along with a post office, pub and police station. Casino is 68km away and Tenterfield 78km. Once a working cattle property, in 1993 was converted into a camping and 4WD park. Since 2017 has been a family own and operated property, pet friendly, we are using the existing large camping grounds to convert it into a camping paradise. Two properties combined with close to 2800 acres, fronting Paddy’s Flat Rd for 2km and extends 7km to the back fence bordering a 22000 acre cattle property. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. An escape to the country on a cattle property The space Twenty minutes from the highway- the 60-acre farm is a quiet oasis in a rural community. Fairlight was purpose-built for guests who have described it as comfy, relaxing, well-stocked, private, and different. The timber interiors and antique pieces add a touch of charm. One guest sai,d "it was like stepping back to a more relaxed time". Another saw the main bedroom and sighed "How romantic!" A booking is for 2 guests and the cottage can accommodate 2 extra people. Guest access You have the whole cottage to yourselves. You are welcome to wander the garden or walk down to the river. Guests have access to the outdoor Forster room. ( A Room with a View !) Guests staying for a while may like to bird watch or count the various native animals that visit the garden. Both depend on the season of the year. Other things to note Fairlight is in the country, 20 minutes from town so the Continental breakfast is extensive since there is no coffee shop to stroll to. You choose your breakfast brands so no food is wasted. Dietary needs like non-dairy or gluten-free can be catered for. Most guests use the kitchen for their evening meal or drive into town. In winter, there are room heaters and electric blankets. In summer, there are pedestal fans but no air conditioning.

Riverview Lodge is situated on 50 acres of a working cattle property. The lodge sits high on the banks of the beautiful Clarence River. There is only one glampsite on the property, with fishing, swimming, and kayaking all within walking distance. Enjoy beautiful river frontage, escarpments, and picnic spaces. Equine Assisted Therapy experiences are available upon request. Rest Point Hotel is less than 20 km from the property, and Grafton City is only a 25 km drive away. The property has formed dirt road access, suitable for vehicles with normal clearance. Off-grid power and a modern, smell-free composting toilet are provided! No air con, its off grid and quite hot in summer.

Weekend Trip to Eden Vale Shearing Shed Camp

This place was absolutely awesome! Plenty of space and beds for 2 Adults and 3 kids. We had great time having a splash in the creek and exploring the property. The Shed had all the cooking equipment we needed, power, fridge, hot shower, flushing outside toilet that was in great condition (no creepy crawlers to be seen). I highly recommend purchasing your firewood directly with you booking. For $20 we had heaps of firewood to last us the two nights we stayed. The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We will definitely be back and recommend you check this place out if you want a farm stay with some enjoyable comforts. Thanks for having us! Until next time ☺️

Surrounded by nature, peaceful and perfect for truly disconnecting and recharging. Chris welcomed my husband and me so warmly. He is incredibly friendly, kind, and went above and beyond to explain everything about the property with great care and attention. Stumbled across this and what an Epic little spot! Super nice host in Merv. Epic view and sunset. Clean. Neat and tidy. All the things there that I could think I needed. Quiet and just some solace to be. Did have Telstra 5g as well for just incase. Would highly recommend.

Chris was so welcoming, he had everything we needed and the glamping tents were so cute. He had lots of facilities that had we been able to stay longer we totally would have taken advantage of. My only thing to note is that the road out to this site can be a little rough so if you don’t have a 4WD just be warned. Otherwise the site itself is marvellous and Chris is a very responsive and helpful host.

Beth is the most welcoming host, she gave super clear instructions to make sure we could get to the property ok. The property wow! It’s very private, overlooking the river and is just gorgeous. The bath was such a brilliant touch! BBQ, shower, toilet, hot bath, fans, blankets, a fridge, kettle - whatever you need for your stay it is there! I really cannot recommend enough, beautiful views!

We loved our stay in the glamping tent. The facilities were excellent and the site itself was amazing. Having our own private stretch of the river was very tranquil. Tubing down the rapids further up the river is a must during any stay at Eagle Ridge. Have recommended to friends and will definitely be back.
