Rocklee is on Wiradjuri land, a short drive from Capertee, surrounded by Gardens of Stone and Capertee national parks and the Mugii Murrum-ban State Conservation Area. Rocklee is 2.5 hours from Sydney and Dubbo. Access is 4wd only. (We’re serious!) Our road has ‘roll overs’, rocks and a couple of tight turns on large gradients) on so you need a vehicle with 20cm+ clearance. If you are towing a camper trailer, you need a good 4wd engine to get back up the hill confidently. Each campsite is a VERY long way from other sites - usually about 800m. Rocklee has a mix of no-longer used paddocks and about 950 acres of untouched bush. You will arrive through the conservation area, which has beautiful pagodas and endless bushwalks. Rocklee is a good site for star gazing. Hipcampers can choose from plenty of space where they'd like to set up camp. Please be careful as some paddocks are overgrown, fences have come down and there are lots of wombat holes, so drive slowly and be careful. There are no amenities here, campers need to be self contained and leave no trace. This means you need to bring water, use exisiing fireplaces and take your rubbish, recycling and compost with you. (You need to bring water from home or elsewhere on the way. Please note you cannot fill up free tap water at Capertee - either at the BP, the picnic area or the pub. It just doesn’t rain enough to fill up the tanks. Sorry!)

Our camp sites are only available during October for the Bathurst 1000, at this time. 3 Veg Farm is a small organic urban market garden on the edge of Bathurst. Established in late 2020, with over 1000 native species planted it is slowly emerging as an eco sanctuary. More than 50 different cold climate seasonal vegetables and flowers are grown on 3 acres and sold at the Bathurst Farmers' Markets, as well as from the farm gate shop and box deliveries around town. You can preorder a box of veges for your dinner. Watch the daily goings on of planting and harvesting, or get involved and learn all about permaculture - workshops and/or volunteering available. (Please note that this is an urban farm beside the train line on the edge of town, not a wilderness, so some industrial noises and trains can sometimes be heard around the clock.) The Wollemi Art Farm is a 100 acre block surround by national park - so your only neighbours are trees and animals. We are only 2 kilometres from the stunning Dunns Swamp. We have several camping areas, which range from intimate to spacious, and can host up to 190 people - if you want to book out the whole place (weddings, parties, small festivals)! Facilities include toilets, water and shelter. It's called 'The Wollemi Art Farm' because not only do we do arty things there (like quests and Shakespeare nights), in time we shall fill the place with mysterious and beautiful works of art - constructed from the rocks and wood of the landscape itself. We have our own trails and views (see below). As mentioned, we run quest adventures (think: clues, a map, exploring, competing against other teams for glory) - get in touch if you would like to know when the next one is, or if you would like your own private quest. I've included some quest material in the photos (more on our Instagram and Youtube). There is an additonal fee for questing. Walks: -Look out for the twin cairns on the north side of the public road, about 100m before you get to the main camping area. Follow the trail to the Summit. -You can also follow the private road up the hill past the main house (turn right off the public road as if you are going to the Spring campsite, then walk past the 'no tresspassing sign' - you are not tresspassing if you are a guest!). Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you see the rocky outcrop towards your right (the 'Souther Heights'). A sign points the way to a cleft that you can ascend. Two cairns mark this spot. Follow the rocky ridge up for several hundred metres. It's a fine adventure. Runs. I'm a keen distance runner. I have a range of runs mapped out. These include a 10km loop, longer runs up to 20kms, various reps, and more. The WAF is perfect for your running group getaway.

The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes. I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups. Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to. I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost. The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together. Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks. - we need to keep this environment for the wildlife. Please take all your belongings and rubbish with you when you leave. Leave it better than as you found it. Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

Spectacular views! Was able to see all the beautiful surroundings, including spectacular sunrises & sunsets! The squiggly gums were amazing & the site was well looked after. The walk down to the river allowed you to appreciate the natural bushland, with the native wildflowers & wildlife. The river & surroundings were beautiful with a platypus, dragonflies, beetles, Willie Wagtails, finches, geckos & too many other insects I have not seen since childhood to name. It was a true delight, with running clear water tumbling over rocks worn smooth over many years, providing a lovely bubbling brook. The water was just the right temperature for a swim & my dogs ( & myself) absolutely loved it. It was amazing to see evidence high up in the trees of previous historic floods & it’s hard to believe how nature can be so bold & beautiful at the same time. To add to the wonderful karma, there were horses, pony & alpacas who just peacefully & casually strolled through the grounds near the river & were extremely friendly. The alpacas even thought my extremely woolly dogs were one of them! 🤣 Tammie, Damien & family were wonderful, kind & caring hosts who stepped in to help when required without hesitation. I was truly grateful for their help & friendship. Can highly recommend & will be returning, hopefully with an AWD/4WD so I can camp by the river. 😀

The kids had a blast so much space for them to ride their bikes ! So mum and dad where happy! Also close to scenic world which was an added plus for us!! Would definitely recommend for anyone to stay with jon !!
