Kookaburra Camp
We stayed at Kookaburra Camp with our family group. We had an amazing time. The river was lovely for a swim. There was plenty of space and we couldn’t fault the ammenities. We would definitely visit again!
Wunglebung is a lovely isolated campsite on a cattle property between Drake and Tenterfield. There are well-spaced campsites along the river, with nice shady trees too. We especially loved the birdlife. There's a relatively new loo/shower facility too!

Awesome spot for young family and kids we had kayaks and it was perfect, toilet/shower block was clean lights worked at night couldnt ask for a better spot we will definitely go back again

Kookaburra Camp
The drive-in was under an hour from Tenterfield. It was spectacular. It was so nice driving through the bush and then arriving at a nice river and campsite. We had a great time and will be back.
We really liked the camp. It was a long arduous drive in but when we finally arrived our site was like paradise. Really appreciated the well presented and highly functional flushing toilets and hot showers. The creek is pristine. Such a beautiful spot. Because it’s a cattle property there are obviously cow pats everywhere. The flies were a nuisance now the weathers heating up. The owners gave obviously made a big effort to make this place a special stay . It is gorgeous.

What a fantastic place! We booked for 3 days and stayed for 6. About 35kms from Tenterfield in the Rocky River Valley down a narrow steepish road in excellent condition.
The campsites are all spread along the river front and are very generously spaced.
Definitely worth more than a single night to appreciate the space, the scenery, the platypus and most of all, the peace and quiet.
We visited as part of a longer trip but next time it will be a sole destination for us.
Highly recommended....and by the way, very friendly and helpful hosts.

Kookaburra Camp
Each of the campgrounds is far way enough for it to feel secluded, saw platypus on at least 3 different instances, the view from the top of the hill is incredible, so so much beauty for one place.
Gods country! beautiful camps sites next to the a flowing river with rapids! all spaced out perfectly. Sunset set hill is a must do crazy colours over the mountains. Firewood everywhere you look, amenities all that for 24 dollars a night can’t beat it!

Casuarina Campsite
One of the best campsites I’ve ever been to, never though Australia had river camping like this!
Great camping areas with plenty of room between camp sites.
Very picturesque spot and at every campsite.
Great amenities that were very clean with hot showers.
The information provided by the hosts was helpful and extensive
Just Beautiful! 5th time there and still amazes us. Quiet, beautiful and the boys love there time in the rapids.
Incredibly quiet and serene. Saw Platypus every morning in the river. The perfect place to stop and unwind. Sarah was incredibly helpful. We will return!
I think this is about our 6th trip to Wunglebung over past 3 years. Has become our go to place and not many places match the peace and quiet this property offers. A very rare find. Amenities are an added bonus. Grateful it is available. Will be back soon.

Best hip camp absolutely love it every time we go so peaceful and the surroundings are spectacular
Beautiful winter weekend over the June long weekend.
The property is lovely, and with the new toilet/shower block, it was great to have a hot wash before the long nights in front of the fire.
The kids loved seeing platypus, kangaroos and possums — just beware of the cheeky possums at night!
We’re already looking forward to getting back there as soon as we can. Thanks again.

Drovers Rest Camp
This was our second trip to Wunglebung. We loved it just as much this time as our first trip.
Amenities were excellent, and the peace and serenity… just awesome!
Definitely planning our third trip back.

Absolutely stunning property and lovely place to visit. The sites were well laid out and spaced apart. The facilities were fantastic and very tidy. We will absolutely be back :)
We had a wonderful time at this site! The views are absolutely stunning and the amenities provided were great and well-maintained. However, travelers should be aware that this is a very active grazing area. Our site was heavily covered in surprises left from the cows, and we spent a good portion of the day gently fending off the cows, who were very determined to eat the embers from our fire pit, which wasn’t relaxing at times.
Recommend you cover your fire pit completely overnight! If you don't, you’ll likely wake up to a herd fighting over the ash and a lot of fresh 'surprises' left around your tent. Overall a beautiful stay with great amenities, just be ready for the full farm experience!
Really enjoyed our stay at Drovers Rest, Wunglebung. The camp sites are a good distance apart so you really got to experience the peace and quiet of the valley. It was so peaceful we could hear the cows chewing!
Lovely spot. Nice amenities, just disappointed no hot water for our 3 night stay.
Camped at Drovers Rest site with a group of 6 vans, plenty of space for all. Great spot beside the river, cows around but they left you alone. Gravel road in. Would go again happily.
