Each site can have a campfire (in season) but - BYO WOOD please. We do not want people disturbing or taking fallen timber and river debris because of the Eco-environment of this location. This includes the children ripping off branches and dragging timber. Please take all rubbish with you. Pets are OK - please pick up after your dogs - other campers use these sites. Consider a leash around the camping area. Your dogs can run free while you are walking - but be conscious of any nearby stock. We aim to make your camping experience a special time away, just you and the she-oaks, starry nights and occasional wildlife. Please indicate intended arrival time and if you need toilet access.

We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep dog trialing. It's a natural bush block with cleared areas. We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect. THE TOILET IS LIMITED FOR NOW. Water is a bit short until it rains. There are no swimming spots at our place, there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away. Our camp site is nestled amongst the wandoo and York gum trees near a small winter creek. There is classic wheatbelt cropping happening in the surrounding paddocks. There is a large flat area to pitch your tent or park your van. In winter there is green grass and as the seasons change so do the colours of the landscape.

Summer Creek was established in 1884 by Edward Vivian Harvey Keane. Keane was a prominent figure in the development of Western Australia, having constructed over 800km of rail around W.A. The property runs alongside the discontinued railway line, known as the Kep Track / Golden pipeline trail, which is part of the same railway network as the Bibbulmun track. The old winery building was saved by R and A Poulton, after a demolition order was places on it by the Northam shire in 2002. The property is now heritage listed, and the fight to preserve it from main-roads continues. Come along to Karaoke at the Restaurant every Saturday night!!! Our camping set-up is a work in progress so we would appreciate your suggestions and feedback, we now have a cold shower on site. When things dry out we will be able to do more work on the accessibility. Also, stay tuned for our glamping option yet to come :) Currently Adults only, no children. 5 beautiful acres in the Swan Valley with horses, we run a horse rehoming charity from here where all proceeds from hipcamp go to support our facility. Along with plenty of horses, you'll also see kangaroos at certain times and our pet sheep Jamima who thinks she's a horse! A superb property with a winter creek and an open paddock where the horses live. It's very peaceful. There are only two camping sites available on this wonderful property at any time so privacy is assured. There is also a dam on the property so please mind any children with absent swimming abilities. Campfires are allowed during the season, and there is a toilet and shower available in the shed 100 meters from the camping area. Smaller groups booking the campsites will have full access to the toilet and shower. Please note, however, we offer a group camping option for larger groups but those booking this option must be fully self-contained as our facilities are not enough to support a large group. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy here, we kindly ask that you take all rubbish with you when you leave. We also ask that you please do not feed the horses. The property is well located to access many great wineries and cafes in the famous Swan Valley area, some within walking distance. Security here is taken care of by Mr security guard "aka" Smoky our pet dog. He's very safe and timid. If you get a pat from this boy I know you're good, so beware! We are dog friendly here, so you're welcome to bring mans best friend and we also have a secure yard to house any pets if you need a break, so long as they don't hassle the horses. We may also be able to accommodate your horse - please discuss this with us prior to booking. Local Shire and DEFES have very strong rules regarding this, and if lighting of a fire occurs people will be prosecuted by DEFES and the local Shire up to $36000.00 or 3 years imprisonment, -LIGHTING OF SMALL CAMP FIRES IS ONLY PERMITTED DURING OPEN FIRE SEASON MAY TO SEPTEMBER. -No trees are to be cut down if logs and sticks are on the ground these can be used. -If you smoke please place your butts in a sealed fire proof container. Please do not leave them on the ground as it is a fire risk and our animals may eat them causing health issues. -No dogs permitted on the property due to our animal roaming free. -You must be totally self contained, own water, showering and toilets.
