THE DEPT - DPIRD - Agriculture - has advised us to stop campers bringing wood onto our property due to the outbreak of the SHOT HOLE BORER. It would be devastating if this dreadful bug should come this far. We appreciate your co-operation. Pinegrove is a small property of 107 acres nestled in the forest away from traffic and suburbia, 14 kilometers off the Brookton Highway. We run Merino sheep and have pure bred Border Collies for sheep work and dog trialing, which is Ivan's sport . It's a natural bush block with cleared areas. We welcome campers and people wanting to park their caravan or RV. Campfires are permitted (except when fire bans are on). Free firewood to collect. We ask that campers do not use the bush as a toilet please, this is not acceptable and please do not empty caravan toilets on any part of our property please. There is a toilet in the shed at the Homestead or please bring a portable toilet, We do have to limit the use of the toilet if our water supply runs low as we depend on rainwater for all our needs. We appreciate campers to be self contained if possible. Well behaved dogs are welcome, they should be on a lead if coming anywhere near the sheep or Homestead please. There are no swimming spots at our place but there is a pool in town which is 30 minutes away. Brookton has a very good Hotel in town called the Bedford Arms which has a great reputation for their meals - you won't go away hungry ! There is plenty to see and do in the area such as Boyagin Rock you can climb, we are only 30 minutes from Brookton, 40 minutes from Beverley and about 45 minutes from York. You are also welcome to watch host Ivan training the sheepdogs!

This is a shady campsite on top of a hill with bush and rocks behind it to walk through. Any type of camper, caravan or tent on this site there is plenty of room. Toilet is in the shed if necessary ( we are a bit short of water in summer and sometimes have to stop the use of toilet) your own toilet would be appreciated. There is no shower. Please BYO Drinking water, if extra is needed, please ask. Pinegrove is a small property with 5 camp sites separated from each other. You are free to take walks around the property or leave your camp site safely and take a trip to a nearby town or the forrest. Dogs on lead when near sheep or homestead please. The Camp site is large enough to cater for several caravans or more if required.

The site has a beautiful countryside view and all the wood you might need to keep the fire going. Margery struck the perfect balance between a warm welcome and respectfully leaving us be to set up the site before night fall!! She and Ivan are fantastic. We will be coming back. Pinegrove is quiet and peaceful and they have soaced the campsites out perfectly. Really really happy with our time and can’t wait to come back :)

Had such a pleasant stay here over the long weekend. This property offers the ultimate peaceful countryside escape, surrounded by nature, rollings hills and abundant wildlife. The black cockatoos and flowering York Gums were a real highlight - they made it feel incredibly special and uniquely Western Australian. The site is private and spacious, giving us the perfect opportunity to switch off and truly unwind. A big thank you to Margery and Ivan for generously opening up their property to Hipcampers.

This was the perfect 2 night getaway in our camper trailer to rest and recharge. We stayed on site 2 which was flat, shady and pre-raked ready for our arrival. Although we couldn't have a campfire due to the time of year fire restrictions, this site would be perfect for when open fires are allowed. The sites are distanced far enough apart that you still have privacy.

Our second visit, and will go back again for sure. Our dogs l9ve it there. Huge camp sites with plenty of flat areas for tents. Peaceful and pretty. During campfire season there's plenty of free wood. Margery and Ivan are the ideal hosts. There if you need them, but leave you to set up, spread out, and camp as you like it. Highly recommended.

Second review after a second stay, I have to highlight what a gem Margery is. After arriving to my site and realising it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for, she was so accomodating and willing to swap me over to another available site. I stayed at site 4 this time and it was perfection. Surrounded by a ring of trees and rocks and nearby the dam that the sheep hang around. Felt very private and very green at this time of year. It is on quite a slope but I made it work with my tent set up. Did have some very noisy neighbours on the other side of the property playing loud music all night until mid next morning on both nights of my stay, which made getting a good nights sleep a challenge. Love thy neighbour folks, consideration and courtesy for each other ensures we all get what we are looking for during our stay. The sites are well spread but loud music travels. I will definitely be back again. I love this place. Not too far from Perth, beautiful scenery and lovely hosts.

Marge is lovely and made us feel very welcome. Hilltop site 1 is positioned perfectly to watch the sun rise over the tree tops. Beautiful and quiet. Thanks again Marge.
