Maiden Jewel, Hunter Valley, New South Wales

Maiden Jewel is a 720 acre Horse Stud. Nestled underneath the Wingen Maiden, this picturesque property is surrounded ironbark bushland with kilometres of trails, suited for horse riding, bush walking, mountain bike riding or just enjoying mother nature and completely off grid.

We are lucky to have an abundance of wildlife to rare species of bird life. We welcome guests to bring along their own horses with yards available allowing them to explore on guided tours. The responses of people who have come to our property always say how breathtaking the scenery is and this is why we would love to share it with you and your family.

Maiden Jewel is located at the foothills of Burning Mountain (Mount Wingen). A visit to this mountain is a must when you stay here. Burning Mountain is a rare phenomenon - a coal seam, buried 30 metres underground, which has been burning for at least 5,500 years and some say over 15,000 years. The walk is accessible via the National Park and is a 4km return trip through bushland which becomes increasingly bare and barren the closer you get to the
smoking vent.
