Discover the most magical spots to pitch your tent or park your rig on your next Bassi Falls adventure.
Discover the natural splendor of Bassi Falls. Â
Just outside of South Lake Tahoe, Bassi Falls is a serene sight to see in the Eldorado National Forest. A 3.5 mile hike will get you there but feel free to continue downstream along the river where multiple swimming holes have formed. If you follow along the river you get to relive the wonderful experience at the Lower Bassi Falls just a short distance away
The prime time to visit Bassi Falls is during the spring and early summer months when the snowmelt fuels the falls, creating a powerful and mesmerizing spectacle. Late summer and fall offer a quieter experience, with reduced water flow but increased accessibility to surrounding trails. Winter can be harsh, with road closures and snow blanketing the area, making it less ideal for visitors.
