The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets. Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting. Choose from 3 carefully selected camp sites and set up base camp to enjoy day trips exploring the local wineries, such as del Rios, walking and cycling trails of the You Yangs State Park, and Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, or as a convenient overnight stop on your way to explore the Great Ocean Road The camping area is easily accessed from maintained roads, where guests can drive in and park on the spacious lower paddock (no reversing or 3-point-turns necessary). As this beautiful, secluded location is off-grid, guests will need to be Self Contained (BYO toilet/shower) and Leave No Trace. If you would like to enjoy our property all to yourself, simply book two of the campsites, and send us a message and we will happily reserve the 3rd campsite for your group free of charge. We are happy to consider additional guests and up to 1 extra vehicle per campsite (camping with your friends, their kids and yours is more fun!) however, ensure to contact the Host to request and arrange this at the time of booking. We expect our guests to be quiet and respectful to neighbouring farming families/properties. Parties and large groups are strictly not permitted. There are plenty of day walks starting right next to your camp or you can go for a swim in the nearby King Parrot Creek. With just 40min drive to Yarra Valley Wineries you are in a perfect location to set up camp and explore the region. Our pet friendly property is located in a quiet neighbourhood, easily accessible from the road (no 4WD needed) and ideal for swags, tents or campers. Power, tank water, bins and compost toilet are included! The space is part of our front yard and our property is located at the end of a quiet no through road. Your camp site is tucked in between the trees away from our family house with plenty of flat space. Sit at the picnic table or around the fire pit (season permitting) and take in the piece and quiet with plenty of wildlife to enjoy.

Beautiful property!! Ally the host was great, she made us feel very welcome! Met us upon arrival and guided us in, supplied firewood and had sheep grazing around the field (Ally checked we were comfortable having them around and with our dog too) which was so lovely to watch and added to the wonderful experience! Would highly recommend this farm stay!

What an amazing little place easy to find is to get to the host our amazing gentle and warm and give you enough attention but give you enough space as well. Absolutely amazing with 100% stay a few times more.. Very well maintained very well thought out and nice and safe for new campers... Also just a nice little view nothing too crazy just nice simple and relaxing got to see some lovely wildlife too.

We had a great experience staying at Clara and Caleb’s land. This was actually our second time camping here, which says a lot—we enjoyed it enough to come back again. The place is peaceful, well-maintained, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The surroundings are beautiful and give a proper camping vibe without feeling too crowded or busy. Everything was as expected (or even better), and it felt very comfortable staying here. Clara and Caleb are great hosts—friendly, responsive, and they make sure guests have a good experience. We’d definitely recommend this spot to others and would happily visit again in the future.

A beautiful spot, really well spaced campsites with trees between. Quiet, very pretty lake, great location, and a great bonus to have pleasant toilet/shower facilities! Recommend the buggy load of wood -- very generous, and all set for you on arrival. We had to leave early due to one of the kids getting sick, and Jemillia very kindly refunded us the night's cost which she absolutely did not need to do. Highly recommended, we'll aim to be back again! Thanks

Lovely camping area, surrounded by trees, horses in the paddocks next door. Kangaroos passed by at sunset. Nice large area to take pups for a walk as you have the whole paddock to yourself. Firepit was great, and the wood we had from the host burned brilliantly. Beautiful quiet location. Highly recommend.

Bernadette is a very welcoming host and provided lots of information about the history of the house and the children’s events she has/is organising. We were able to park anywhere on her property and were also given the opportunity to link up to power for $10 a day. The toilets were always very clean and hot water is always available. The property is only 5 minutes from Riddells Creak train station where you can catch a train into Melbourne.

What a great spot. Was a busy weekend but didn't feel we were on top of others. Lake was good for kayaking on and the toilets and shower were a great benefit. All not far from Melbourne. The brewery in town was also good for a drink and a meal.

Weekend Trip to Dromkeen Macdeon Ranges

We loved camping here with the wonderful views. It was close to all the things in the Macedon Ranges. They have a fantastic art gallery and also a cafe at Dromkeen, so this was a treat after a hike or bike ride. Dromkeen itself is a piece of history from times gone by. Bernadette was such a lovely lady with remarkable wisdom. A bonus was the toilet block with HOT water!! A great find not far from Melbourne.

A lovely place, really enjoyed being at this place. It’s bird lovers heaven- dozens of varieties spotted. There is some vehicle and farm noise about but plenty of quiet and bird song in between. The camp site is quite close to the road. I hope to visit again.
