We have a lovely block of land tucked away a couple of streets back from the beach. 200 m from the local shop and 350 m from the main entrance to the beach. There is a lot of shade and a cleared area as well. We have done some more clearing now and it is easy to get any sized vehicle into the property. My daughter had her Toyota. Coaster there on flat ground without any hassles this weekend. One caravan would fit and probably two. You can hear the waves and birds chirping, it is a beautiful part of Australia. Lots of mozzies so come prepared! The town does not have a water supply so you have to bring your own water. You can fill up containers near the hall for a reasonable price. Hot water showers at the shop are $4 for 4 minutes. there are free bbq’s at the beach. the shop has everything, good food, coffee, supermarket, bottle shop and good prices fuel. usually only a handful of people at the beach except on major holidays but even then we are talking maybe 40 people in kilometres of beach. Beach fishing is extremely popular. Unless there is a fire ban I am happy for you to have a little fire and we have a big pile of wood.

We have a lovely block of land tucked away a couple of streets back from the beach. 200 m from the local shop and 350 m from the main entrance to the beach. There is a lot of shade and a cleared area as well. We have done some more clearing now and it is easy to get any sized vehicle into the property. My daughter had her Toyota. Coaster there on flat ground without any hassles this weekend. One caravan would fit and probably two. You can hear the waves and birds chirping, it is a beautiful part of Australia. Lots of mozzies so come prepared! The town does not have a water supply so you have to bring your own water. You can fill up containers near the hall for a reasonable price. Hot water showers at the shop are $4 for 4 minutes. there are free bbq’s at the beach. the shop has everything, good food, coffee, supermarket, bottle shop and good prices fuel. usually only a handful of people at the beach except on major holidays but even then we are talking maybe 40 people in kilometres of beach. Beach fishing is extremely popular. Unless there is a fire ban I am happy for you to have a little fire and we have a big pile of wood.

We booked last minute and paid only $25 per night, which was incredible value. We stayed at Site 2 and had our own private campsite, which made the experience even better.

Tony was very prompt and helpful in answering all of my questions, even before the start of our outing. The directions to the property was very clear and Tony was available when we arrived to provide us with the required guidance to get us all set-up. He was also kind enough to provide us with directions to an excellent spot for swimming. The kids also loved the interaction with the horses during feeding time, which Tony invited is to. Absolutely loved the complete privacy of Christine's camp site. It's a great spot with a wide open mown grass area and easy access to the river. Christine was a lovely host and showed us where we could collect some wood, there is a big fire drum for a worry free fire.
I would recommend for river users bringing some water shoes. It's a rocky river, which means it's clean and clear, but a bit rough on the feet. River shoes made it easy though.
We had a great time exploring the scenic nature reserve nearby as well. With some easy 4wd access to some beautiful views.
Overall a fantastic camping spot. We had a great time and so will you.
