Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Pollys paddock is named after a beautiful palomino horse named Polly, who lived here as a loved member of our family into her early 40s. Polly's Paddock is a quiet camping area on the Mornington Peninsula. We are a couples, mates , friends , camping (adults only), no children, under the age 16, for safety reasons with a dam close by. Only 15 minutes from Mount Martha village and Mornington, restaurants, amazing wineries, weekend markets, cafes and golf courses. We are 10 minutes from swimming beaches and 20 minutes from surf beaches. This is a 5.5 acre block, consisting of the host’s residence, garden and parkland. Polly's Paddock is half of the block. We offer 2 flat caravan or tent sites, both with drinking water , 1 with limited power , the other no power. There is also a site with a glamping tent set in the garden. The 6 metre round tent sleeps 2, with a queen size bed, linen provided. It is carpeted, has a fridge, kettle and BBQ. Just pack your toothbrush, clothes, food and drinks. All 3 sites have the use of a shared composting toilet, and out doors bath. For a refreshing experience there is an outdoor, open air hot shower overlooking the dam. Close by is a spacious shelter/shed with tables, chairs and a rustic kitchen area with sink and heater. Well behaved dogs are accepted on the caravan sites, but we ask that you please discuss with us prior to booking. Weekend Trip to Hounds of the Vine

Hidden gem in the middle of the Bellarine Peninsula. We stayed at the woodlands site which was private and well protected from any wind. I highly recommend booking a wine tasting with the team. It was incredible! Hosts are amazing and greeted us on arrival. Very close to other wineries as well so the perfect hub to explore the area, and what better way to end the day with wine at the cellar door before walking back to camp for a fire! This place is a MUST visit!

We had a brilliant stay at HotV. We stayed directly opposite the cellar door so were able to enjoy a lovely afternoon in the sun working our way through the wine list. Hosts and staff were great and very friendly, we'll definitely be back.

The host Bernadette is an amazing woman, on our second day of camping it rained cats and dogs, she let us and kids stay inside the cafe for couple of hours. There was an indoor play area where kids could read the books and play with some toys. The host snd her family really made our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic campsite for a group of friends looking to have some quality outdoor time playing volleyball, cooking good food and chilling. Found a spot near the shower and toilet block which was handy. Toilets and showers were quite clean, until 2 days in when kids seemed to be trashing the place with toilet tissue and litter. Loved that they had 2 large sinks near the toilet block which made washing dishes super easy. Plenty of safe drinking water across all the taps. Very welcoming and accommodating hosts who allowed us to bring our elderly cat even though they dont normally allow pets. It’s just a shame there are some inconsiderate guests who are hoons and do laps at 3am or hard bass on their speakers late into the night.

Wonderful. We’ve just enjoyed a peaceful three days in this picture postcard location. Ticked all the boxes; location, near great food and wine, amongst the vines and very private and quiet.
