Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady,
surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn .
Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track, not a paved Freeway. I have had only one complaint about low 2wd vehicles, everyone else seems fine. Contact me before your trip if concerned.
The original home stead (built in
1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are
delightful in autumn.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths have loved this site till very recently, without explanation, found two dead in last 9 months, that don't explain how or why. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.
With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running.

There is an abundance of birdlife at the camping location, including kookaburras, fairy wrens, greater shrike thrushes, robins, bellbirds, wedge-tail eagles, magpies and owls (namely boobooks).
We are within easy reach of Toolangi State Forest with many walks and trails, including the WirraWilla Rainforest Walk and the Kalatha Giant Mountain Ash tree walk.
This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness.
Healesville, Yarra Glen and Kinglake are equal distance away (18-20 minute drives) with services, plenty of cafes, restaurants, wineries and shopping:

A leisurely walk will take you to Newhaven on the Island, and then over the bridge to the picturesque seaside village of San Remo. We are just a short drive to popular surf and swimming beaches and all other attractions on the Island.
The property is nestled on 32 acres of a natural rural landscape of trees, wetlands with Westernport Bay and Churchill Island views unique to Banksia Park’s location. There are the untouched wetlands, TiTree walks and abundant Wallabies, Cape Barren geese, Purple Hens, Pelicans and Bandicoots
The chicory kiln at the entrance is known as the “Bern Denham kiln”. Bern Denham was one of the three original entrepreneurs in the 1920s who were the first to take tourists by torchlight to see the little penguins’ nightly arrival on the beach. Not to mention he was an influential contributor in getting the Phillip Island racetrack built and up and running.
Please Note: Our property and all sites do not have any external power, water or toilet facilities available for campers so you will need to be completely self – contained in a caravan, campervan or roof top tent set up. We actually can not offer Tent Sites (Tents, Swags, sleeping in cars etc) Please confirm that you are fully self contained when making the booking
Our check - in on the day of arrival is between 2.00pm - 5.00pm and we appreciate an estimated time of arrival. The sites are clearly sign posted so if you ae going to be very late we may not see you till the following morning. That way we can make arrangements to be on-site to check you in. If needed, late check in within daylight hours can be arranged subject to our availability.

We love all animals including Dogs, but unfortunately, due to our roaming animals, we cannot entertain pets anymore.
Long periods of wet weather may affect some of the camping areas. Therefore, we recommend keeping an eye on the weather report close to your stay and if you have any concerns, please touch base with us!

Neerim South is located in the southern foothills of the Great Dividing Range, there is so much to see and do nearby, including Neerim South Brewery, Toronga Water Falls, walking trails, the famous Noojee Pub, Mt Baw Baw tourist drive, Blue rock Lake which is great for fishing and swimming, there's old historical trestle bridges, Walhalla Mining town and lots more.

The property, Springwater Gardens, Toolangi, Yarra Valley, is on six acres amongst the tall trees the region is famous for. There are two natural ponds served by a natural spring. We only have one campsite available at the very rear beside the forest so you will have complete privacy.
There is an area of thick native forest and a stand of the critically endangered bush, the Round-leaf Pomaderris, right near the camping area.
There is an abundance of birdlife at the camping location, including kookaburras, fairy wrens, greater shrike thrushes, robins, bellbirds, wedge-tail eagles, magpies and owls (namely boobooks).
We are within easy reach of Toolangi State Forest with many walks and trails, including the WirraWilla Rainforest Walk and the Kalatha Giant Mountain Ash tree walk.
This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness.
Healesville, Yarra Glen and Kinglake are equal distance away (18-20 minute drives) with services, plenty of cafes, restaurants, wineries and shopping:

We loved our stay at Clancy Springs - Adrian and Sandy are lovely and welcoming hosts. Clancy Springs is camping made easy, which we thoroughly appreciated with two little ones. The camp kitchen is incredibly well equiped and the toilet and shower were always in impeccable condition. We loved dining with the cows and kangaroos at meal times (in the next door paddock!)

The ride to campsite is fun. Opening and closing gates gives you a little “outback-ish” feel. A little bit off road.
Adrian is a great guy. Very welcoming and his campsite is well looked after. He updated his facilities about two years ago so all is new.
(Shower is amazing)
The site itself is beautiful and spacious. At dawn the kangaroos show themself in the back field. I guess that explains the name.
10/10 would recommend.

A lovely spot on the Murrundindi River. We tucked our van around a corner for added privacy, loved the river side for reading and an icy morning dip! Site 1 is a fenced paddock, great for dogs (a tree had bought down part of a fence so not totally dog proof atm). There is one flushing loo in a purpose built shed (rudimentary but fully functional) about 350 mt walk. Michael was accommodating, communicated well and was very friendly even when one of our dogs called over to his shack for BBQ :) .

Our 3 night camping experience at Kangaroo Rise was nothing short of spectacular. The hosts Adrian and Sandy are 2 of the most gracious and helpful people you will ever meet! The site itself is very clean and spacious, surrounded by nature. Waking up to Cows moo'ing and Roos going about their mornings within stones throw away made for an absolutely memorable stay. We brought our dog along and he had a blast free roaming within a fenced off area (with other guests' permission of course). We couldn't stop commending the cleanliness and how well equipped the amenities were. It made sense because we learnt that a lot of effort was put into constructing the kitchen, shower and toilet area. It's definitely one of the best we've ever seen and we'll definitely be back. Thanks again Adrian and Sandy for your hospitality!

My daughter and I camped at Millers farm and absolutely loved it. The site was nice and clean and open and we felt very safe.
The farm was absolutely stunning and Anne and Kate both went out of their way to make sure we got to meet all the animals which my daughter loved.
They checked to make sure we had everything we needed regularly but still made it feel like we had the place to ourselves, giving us our own space to relax and take in the scenery .
Would highly recommend for family trip with kids.

Site 1 at Fernglade was the perfect camping spot for our young family. It had a safe semi-shaded area for the tent and a fence with gate to keep the kids from wondering off down to the river.
The host Michael was friendly, helpful and great with communication.
The river was a bit chilly for adults but the kids had a ball paddling and playing on infaltables.

The campsite was good. Ground on a slight slope but enough flattish areas to pitch tents. Great set up with large Gazebo fitted out with lights, battery charger, projector screen, tables and chairs, BBQ. Great fire pits both big and small where we toasted marshmallows. Lovely billabong to sit by in the shade. The host Michael was fantastic with responding to messages and gave clear instructions to site. Close to Melbourne yet felt far away. Dog and kids had fun. Definitely recommend.

The campsite was easy to find and Kate greeted us upon arrival. She was super helpful and responsive throughout our stay. The toilet was beyond expectation as other reviews mentioned which made camping just that much more enjoyable. It was a relatively quiet camping spot, next to a rural road but it barely has anyone drive down it. You’re kind of close to other campers but it didn’t bother us as everyone was very respectful and made it have a community vibe. Only downside I’d say is that the turkeys sort of follow you around so if you’re scared of large birds, might not be for you! But ultimately you’re staying on a farm so it’s part of the experience and nothing wrong with the campsite itself!
