Choose from 3 carefully selected camp sites and set up base camp to enjoy day trips exploring the local wineries, such as del Rios, walking and cycling trails of the You Yangs State Park, and Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, or as a convenient overnight stop on your way to explore the Great Ocean Road
The camping area is easily accessed from maintained roads, where guests can drive in and park on the spacious lower paddock (no reversing or 3-point-turns necessary).
As this beautiful, secluded location is off-grid, guests will need to be Self Contained (BYO toilet/shower) and Leave No Trace.
If you would like to enjoy our property all to yourself, simply book two of the campsites, and send us a message and we will happily reserve the 3rd campsite for your group free of charge. We are happy to consider additional guests and up to 1 extra vehicle per campsite (camping with your friends, their kids and yours is more fun!) however, ensure to contact the Host to request and arrange this at the time of booking.
We expect our guests to be quiet and respectful to neighbouring farming families/properties. Parties and large groups are strictly not permitted. Please take everything with you and leave the site as you found it. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site.
Amenities: ‘Long Drop’ toilets, BBQs and picnic tables are available a short walk away at the Anakie Gorge Picnic grounds. When visiting the Anakie Gorge Walk/Picnic Grounds (Brisbane Ranges National Park) please observe and abide by the rules of Parks Victoria.
Due to our immediate proximity to farms and the Brisbane Ranges National Park the following are strictly NOT permitted: dogs, cats, pets, drones. Strictly NO fires, NO firearms, NO hunting permitted.
Fire Danger Period – CURRENT
We are currently in the Fire Danger Period, which means there are restrictions on what people legally can and can’t do with regard to outdoor fires (campfires, camp cooking, fires, BBQs, stoves) or anything that may produce a spark; campers may want to bring food/drink that doesn't require cooking or heating, or use the BBQs at the Anakie Gorge Picnic area IF conditions allow this. For specifics of what people are legally allowed to do or not do with regard to open air fires/cooking etc please read the information on the CFA Victoria website for fire warnings, fire bans ratings and restrictions and the "Can I? Can't I?" section for the Central region.
Total Fire Ban Days: On total fire ban days strictly NO flames or sparks, no exceptions.
For the safety of our guests, bookings falling on Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating days will be cancelled and campers will be reimbursed.
Severe Weather and Bushfire: Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period.
Safety and Hazards: You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your care. Hazards to be aware of: snakes, uneven ground, trees or loose/falling limbs (it is your responsibility to set up your camp in an area you deem free of hazards).
Flash flooding of Stony Creek (this is rare, however, please observe weather warnings at the time of camping). Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period. On Total Fire Ban days strictly NO flames or sparks, no exceptions.
Other things to be aware of: No mobile phone reception. You might achieve some mobile phone reception if you head back up Gorge Road to Staughton Vale Road, though this is dependent on your mobile phone provider and cannot be guaranteed.
Please check, temporary closures to the Anakie Gorge and/or the Brisbane Ranges and trail access requirements. Before commencing on bush walks, check local weather and bushfire advice for planned burns and bushfire warnings and let someone know before you go. Plan ahead and hike safely.

The cottage is a converted shed, with three bedrooms, a lovely living area and a cosy closed woodfire. We have a sheltered outdoor area, where you can have a barbeque, or have a small fire in a firedish. The cottage is in the bush, so you can walk out and try to find our resident breeding pair of Lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats, wallabies and kangaroos or the deer that live in our 'back yard'. Or just roam, which shouldn't be too hard on 67 acres .
We are close to massive areas of bush with open trails. Dogs are very welcome- no cats.
As we live in the bush, we do our best to keep everything as 'green' as we can- so please don't use harsh chemicals.
Living in the bush brings with it that you cannot light a fire in fire danger periods, and, heating on a woodstove, means there is a hot stove in the room. (watch those little fingers...)
Our aim is to give you a place of rest and enjoyment. We love to share our space as we love it here so much- and hope you love it too.
As life is a project - don't expect 10* linen and luxury, state of the art gardens and clipped lawns, but a friendly welcoming atmosphere where you can be yourself and relax.
We love to have visitors, and chat for a bit- or leave you to relax. The cottage is on the edge of the bush, where you are welcome to roam on the tracks or off them- at your own risk :-)
We are both artists, and our studio's are close to the cottage, which might make some noise, but we'll try to keep it at a minimum when guests are here.
The upside is, you could learn something if interested :-) (contact us for workshops)
We have a working hobby farm- with some machinery, animals (pigs, dogs, horses, ducks and chickens).
You can interact with the animals if you talk to us about safety first, but the horse paddock is out of bounds. ( they can behave unpredictable, are very large (!) and very valuable)
Our dogs are very friendly and will most probably visit you. Our puppy still has lots to learn :-)
Our property is stock- fenced, our animals will stay in, but dogs are able to roam if they are not staying with you.
There is no secure yard to leave your dog during the day, you are expected to be in control of your dogs at all times. If they are ok with horses, chooks and dogs, and under voice command, they can be off leash.
Dogs are not to sleep on the beds.
We are a rural property with animals, and there are dams on the property, (not close to the cottage) so please keep an eye on children - we cannot take responsibility for your persons or animals.
Living on a farm means that not everything is neat, safe, flat or person-proof. Often there is actual work being done involving machinery. Coming here is entirely at your own risk. (sorry for all the disclaimers...)

We cater comfortably for caravans and motorhomes, with mostly flat land making setup easy. Tents are more than welcome, and the property is pet friendly, so your furry companions can join you too.
During the Christmas season—from mid-November through to Christmas Eve—the farm can be a little louder at times due to Christmas tree cutting. That said, campers are positioned at a safe distance, and noise generally isn’t an issue. We also have a few cattle that move throughout the property, though they are mostly sectioned off from camping areas.
We’d absolutely love for you to spend time on our property and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. Once you arrive, the owners will personally direct you to your camping area, ensuring you’re set up comfortably.

Choose from 3 carefully selected camp sites and set up base camp to enjoy day trips exploring the local wineries, such as del Rios, walking and cycling trails of the You Yangs State Park, and Serendip Wildlife Sanctuary, or as a convenient overnight stop on your way to explore the Great Ocean Road
The camping area is easily accessed from maintained roads, where guests can drive in and park on the spacious lower paddock (no reversing or 3-point-turns necessary).
As this beautiful, secluded location is off-grid, guests will need to be Self Contained (BYO toilet/shower) and Leave No Trace.
If you would like to enjoy our property all to yourself, simply book two of the campsites, and send us a message and we will happily reserve the 3rd campsite for your group free of charge. We are happy to consider additional guests and up to 1 extra vehicle per campsite (camping with your friends, their kids and yours is more fun!) however, ensure to contact the Host to request and arrange this at the time of booking.
We expect our guests to be quiet and respectful to neighbouring farming families/properties. Parties and large groups are strictly not permitted. Please take everything with you and leave the site as you found it. Extra charges will apply for any rubbish, food scraps etc left on site.
Amenities: ‘Long Drop’ toilets, BBQs and picnic tables are available a short walk away at the Anakie Gorge Picnic grounds. When visiting the Anakie Gorge Walk/Picnic Grounds (Brisbane Ranges National Park) please observe and abide by the rules of Parks Victoria.
Due to our immediate proximity to farms and the Brisbane Ranges National Park the following are strictly NOT permitted: dogs, cats, pets, drones. Strictly NO fires, NO firearms, NO hunting permitted.
Fire Danger Period – CURRENT
We are currently in the Fire Danger Period, which means there are restrictions on what people legally can and can’t do with regard to outdoor fires (campfires, camp cooking, fires, BBQs, stoves) or anything that may produce a spark; campers may want to bring food/drink that doesn't require cooking or heating, or use the BBQs at the Anakie Gorge Picnic area IF conditions allow this. For specifics of what people are legally allowed to do or not do with regard to open air fires/cooking etc please read the information on the CFA Victoria website for fire warnings, fire bans ratings and restrictions and the "Can I? Can't I?" section for the Central region.
Total Fire Ban Days: On total fire ban days strictly NO flames or sparks, no exceptions.
For the safety of our guests, bookings falling on Catastrophic Fire Danger Rating days will be cancelled and campers will be reimbursed.
Severe Weather and Bushfire: Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period.
Safety and Hazards: You are responsible for your own safety and the safety of those in your care. Hazards to be aware of: snakes, uneven ground, trees or loose/falling limbs (it is your responsibility to set up your camp in an area you deem free of hazards).
Flash flooding of Stony Creek (this is rare, however, please observe weather warnings at the time of camping). Please make yourself aware of bushfire or other severe weather warnings (e.g. ABC Emergency or Emergency Victoria) for UP-TO-DATE information, especially during the fire danger period. Other things to be aware of: No mobile phone reception. You might achieve some mobile phone reception if you head back up Gorge Road to Staughton Vale Road, though this is dependent on your mobile phone provider and cannot be guaranteed.
Please check, temporary closures to the Anakie Gorge and/or the Brisbane Ranges and trail access requirements. Before commencing on bush walks, check local weather and bushfire advice for planned burns and bushfire warnings and let someone know before you go. Plan ahead and hike safely.

The cottage is a converted shed, with three bedrooms, a lovely living area and a cosy closed woodfire. We have a sheltered outdoor area, where you can have a barbeque, or have a small fire in a firedish. The cottage is in the bush, so you can walk out and try to find our resident breeding pair of Lyrebirds, echidnas, wombats, wallabies and kangaroos or the deer that live in our 'back yard'. Or just roam, which shouldn't be too hard on 67 acres .
We are close to massive areas of bush with open trails. Dogs are very welcome- no cats.
As we live in the bush, we do our best to keep everything as 'green' as we can- so please don't use harsh chemicals.
Living in the bush brings with it that you cannot light a fire in fire danger periods, and, heating on a woodstove, means there is a hot stove in the room. (watch those little fingers...)
Our aim is to give you a place of rest and enjoyment. We love to share our space as we love it here so much- and hope you love it too.
As life is a project - don't expect 10* linen and luxury, state of the art gardens and clipped lawns, but a friendly welcoming atmosphere where you can be yourself and relax.
We love to have visitors, and chat for a bit- or leave you to relax. The cottage is on the edge of the bush, where you are welcome to roam on the tracks or off them- at your own risk :-)
We are both artists, and our studio's are close to the cottage, which might make some noise, but we'll try to keep it at a minimum when guests are here.
The upside is, you could learn something if interested :-) (contact us for workshops)
We have a working hobby farm- with some machinery, animals (pigs, dogs, horses, ducks and chickens).
You can interact with the animals if you talk to us about safety first, but the horse paddock is out of bounds. ( they can behave unpredictable, are very large (!) and very valuable)
Our dogs are very friendly and will most probably visit you. Our puppy still has lots to learn :-)
Our property is stock- fenced, our animals will stay in, but dogs are able to roam if they are not staying with you.
There is no secure yard to leave your dog during the day, you are expected to be in control of your dogs at all times. If they are ok with horses, chooks and dogs, and under voice command, they can be off leash.
Dogs are not to sleep on the beds.
We are a rural property with animals, and there are dams on the property, (not close to the cottage) so please keep an eye on children - we cannot take responsibility for your persons or animals.
Living on a farm means that not everything is neat, safe, flat or person-proof. Often there is actual work being done involving machinery. Coming here is entirely at your own risk. (sorry for all the disclaimers...)

Sites range from flat to gently undulating. Undulating sections can easily be leveled with a decent set of caravan levelers.

Access: We recommend campers access the property from the Alma Road end of Rodger Road. Rodger Road is a narrow road but Silverleaves is only approx 500 metres from the Alma Road intersection.

The property is safe and secure, with fencing at the front. A tap for water is available (though we still recommend bringing your own water to be prepared).
There are no toilets or power available so campers will need to be self-sufficient.
We cater comfortably for caravans and motorhomes, with mostly flat land making setup easy. Tents are more than welcome, and the property is pet friendly, so your furry companions can join you too.
During the Christmas season—from mid-November through to Christmas Eve—the farm can be a little louder at times due to Christmas tree cutting. That said, campers are positioned at a safe distance, and noise generally isn’t an issue. We also have a few cattle that move throughout the property, though they are mostly sectioned off from camping areas.
We’d absolutely love for you to spend time on our property and enjoy this one-of-a-kind experience. Once you arrive, the owners will personally direct you to your camping area, ensuring you’re set up comfortably.

Great hosts, and friendly dogs, great fire pit. Fish in the pond (if you're inclined). Loads of birds, some horses. Apparently there is a platypus somewhere, but I didn't see it. Electricity available, but BYO water. Nearest town for supplies is Bunyip (16km). Access via dirt roads for about 6km, so it could get uncomfortable in a car or camper. Almost zero phone reception (which can be a good thing). Some nice trails nearby if you feel like a hike.

It was very quiet when we went which was nice, clean facilities, the bouldering wall is cool. Playgrounds are not really suitable for little kids, but we found a great playground on google maps 6 mins drive away. Would recommend.

Tonimbuk Farm was such a wonderful stay. An easy drive from Melbourne and an easy, peaceful stay. Rob was lovely with my kids and the whole family was really warm and welcoming. Will be back for sure!

Beautiful quiet site within the bushland, not too far out of Melbourne, nice and close to Healesville if you want a little day trip. Plenty of room on the site, a neighbour's house up the road but out of sight, only heard their car go past a couple of times.
Helpful instructions how to get to the site from Allira (thank you). Lots of birds around during the day, a very friendly magpie (have named him Sebastian), stopped by every now and then to say hello. Overall a wonderful and peaceful experience that I will most likely book again.

We loved our stay at Foxes Den! The property was peaceful and nicely wind protected. Lovely to have a tree and a campfire at the spot, including firewood. Quite private as there is plenty of room between sites.
Camping with the bonus of a short drive to town and the beach. Had a great time and definitely plan to return.

I highly recommend Foxes Den, we will definitely be back. We had a great time!
The kids wandered the pine forests, had loads of space to kick the footy and fly a plane. We didn’t have bikes but they could have fun riding around. There is also a community bush kindy that is held on the property and my kids loved going for a wander to play and relax in the hammocks. It is very natural rugged play. The kids loved watching the wild rabbits and eagles fly over, some were huge.
The sites, although you could see the other campers, were very spacious, at night it was really peaceful. Each site had some log seats and a fire pit area with endless free wood chopped ready to use. Hugh met us at the property showed us everything we needed to know, he provided a 10lt bucket of water for fire safety. There was also plenty of water at the front of the property to refill our tanks. It is a little dry and dusty when the wind is present but nothing that worried us. I’d imagine mid autumn after a little rain would be great. We loved our time camping at site 3.

Second visit in 6 weeks and still excellent. Recent rain gave the paddock a bit of green which was welcomed.
Excellent location for restaurants, wineries, parkrun and more. Highly recommend, site 6 was perfect for our set up.

Great quiet spot to spend a few days camping. Reasonably flat ground to setup camp and plenty of kookaburras around to make you feel right at home. There were other campers in the distance, but we couldn’t hear them. Directions were easy to follow and the site is about 15-20min out of either Gembrook or Junction Village. Note that phone reception is limited.

We were fortunate to stay at the Creek Campground at Tonimbuk Farm.
The camp site is perfect! Secluded (not within site/hearing of others), huge space that could fit 3-4 families, fire pit and even a bar !
The hosts have setup festoon lighting and provide a generator to run the light at night - looks amazing.
Our daughter especially liked Marley & Max (the resident farm dogs) who dropped in every so often for a pat.
A big thanks to Rob & Leanne for providing such a beautiful part of their property. Great hosts ! We look forward to coming back again.

Jana is such a warm and welcoming host. We arrived quite late when it was already dark, and he kindly guided us so we were able to find the site.
The site itself is beautiful, with stunning views and a huge area to explore. It feels peaceful, private, and surrounded by nature. There’s so much open space to wander around, and our dog had the best time, he was absolutely thrilled running around and exploring.
