The river is shallow for paddling, as well as ‘swimmable’ (at your own risk), a lovely spot to cool off on our warm summer days, or a mesmerising place to sit, watch, read, contemplate, draw or write. Some large old Mountain Ash remain along the river bank, with lots of new plantings. It is not uncommon to see an echidna, a variety of stunning birdlife, and on dusk, maybe a wombat family. We also host a family of platypus if you are very quiet. Our river block can hold up to 4 caravans (under 10 metres) and a couple of tents in one group (one booking). In addition, the upper adjoining block can accommodate 2 caravans (enquire for this option). This is a single group occupancy site so you can enjoy the privacy of your group. The space is a campsite only, you may camp anywhere on the property, the host will guide you to the best spots. There are 2 dams and a seasonal creek. The driveway leads up a hill and then you can find your own space! Note there is no running water or power, BYO toilet. Small fires are allowed but you must clean up after your stay and local fire laws must be adhered to. Pets are most welcome but please ensure they don't disturb the cattle or wildlife!

Great little spot that's out of town but still only a few minutes away from shops, gym and 15mins to Geelong CBD. We stayed before heading to the Spirit of Tasmania. The paddock is flat with shady trees dotted around and situated on a quiet deadend road.

A beautiful and peaceful spot. Susan was a fantastic host, thoughtful, kind and responsive. I was even gifted some homemade chilli jam and eggs. I spent 2 nights here just cooking on the fire, watching the wildlife by the pond including a wide variety of bird life and a fox. The set up has everything you need- camp toilet, mud kitchen, table and chairs and even a hut to have shelter in the rain. Plenty of fallen kindling to be collected if needed. Will return to explore some of the walking tracks. So nice to be able to have a solo getaway and not have to share the campsite with anyone, but feel totally safe. Just a short drive into town. Highly recommend.

Amazing spot under the gum. Beautiful view of the cathedrals in the morning. Relaxing by the dam during the day and a spot of fishing just to top things off. Hosts were absolutely lovely and enjoyed a chat which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. Will definitely be back!

First awake at camp is a special time. Day breaks with the chorus of waterhen, Wonga Pigeon and kookaburra, backed by pobblebonk and the odd snuffling of the cows. Alone? Not with this crowd 🤩.

Great setup for a few days of peace and private relaxation. Firepit and facilities with a beautiful dam full of birds, yabbies and different moods and colours, depending on the time of day. Sue and Chris are fantastic and caring hosts, living on site and welcoming campers to share their wonderful little piece of paradise.

Chris's place by the river is beautiful. The sound of the river and the birds was breathtaking. The grounds were extremely neat and tidy and the little hut was very quirky and interesting. We sat in there one afternoon when it got quite windy so it was very handy. Chris was very quick responding to any communication and very friendly.

1 night at Millers Farm "The Hills are alive"

It was pure joy to wake up on Miller's farm. The rooster heralded dawn - better than any alarm clock. That inspired the chorus of birdsong; kookaburras, cockatoos, wattlebirds, magpies, currawongs. That in turn encouraged the sheep - they started their day bleating for their feathered friends to join them. Farmer Anne let the feathers free and mayhem reigned. Chooks, turkeys and the sole duck running around chatting with excitement at the new day. The goats and alpacas were pretty happy to say hi too. How lucky were we to be part of it. Highly recommend Miller's Camp - check in was easy. Communication great. Anne was lovely. Camp kitchen was a bonus. Great stay. Thankyou.
