Gordens track camping grounds is located right on the fringe of the Alberton West state forest. This is an excellent place for mountain/dirtbike and horse riders. You could ride though the forest for days and not see all of it. (Please note Motorbikes & Horses are not to be ridden on the property) the campsites are all shaded by gums and provide and excellent place relax by nature! Within the camping ground we have campsite 1 . Jakes Hut Jakes Hut an old corrugated hut that provides great shelter from the elements and gives you the experience of roughing like they did back in the old days with a few modern twist! campsite 2. The Stock Yards The Stock Yards camping area is a great little campsite roughly 40x80m it provides plenty of shade and shelter. perfect for small groups! Campsite 3. What a great place! So clean, plenty of space for the 9 of us and privacy between camp-sites. The hut is perfect for extra room if needed to prepare food, has a large picnic table to sit & eat or shelter from the rain. With the forest across the road and Port Welshpool a quick bike or car ride away, this camp really has everything. From riding along tracks to walking the beach or long pier, very relaxing for a short or long stay. Hosts are easy to communicate with and give great directions...camp-site is extremely easy to get to with a caravan or trailer. Thanks so much Steff & Dylan, we all appreciated the stay in your little slice of heaven 🤗

This promised peace and few sites and it delivered. Only 3 camping groups in a large paddock surrounded by rolling hills. Walk across the road to the pub and General Store, 10 minute drive to Bluffs Reserve with a good swimming hole and had the good fortune to be there for Buchan Makers Market.

Tony’s farm is absolutely beautiful! When we arrived, Tony was very welcoming, and once we’d settled in, we had plenty of privacy. There was loads of space for our boys to kick the footy and ride their quad bike. I highly recommend Tony’s farm — it’s flat, completely grassed, and perfect for relaxing. You can light a fire (when restrictions allow) and unwind under the stars. The facilities are great too — there’s a drop toilet, a shelter with running water, and even a hot shower! The site is so accommodating, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay. Thank you, Tony, for welcoming us and introducing us to your beautiful horses, sheep, and of course, the friendly doggos!

Wide expansive well kept grassed area for tents or in my case a camper trailer. I just parked on small concreted area near the Old Dairy/Cabin. I didn't use power but is available. Be aware there is now amnesties or water available on site. Easy walk to village and Pub. Food was great at the pub, and generous. Would use again, was made very easy by Paul and Kristie and thier info leading up to visit was spot on Thanks D

Grandview Sanctuary is nestled between rolling hills and is tranquil yet conveniently right in town. We loved camping here; our highlight was sitting by the fire with a wine and dark-sky stargazing. The pub meals are great and the Road house has good coffee. Thanks Paul and Kirstie. We will be back :)

Where to go

East Gippsland

Journey from mountains to coast all in one day in East Gippsland, where highlights include Croajingolong National Park, The Lakes National Park, and Snowy River National Park. Further west, there are endless options for boating, kayaking, fishing, and camping around the Gippsland Lakes—you can even sleep in a glamping dome on Raymond Island.

Central Gippsland

The immaculate golden shores of Ninety Mile Beach extend along the coast of Central Gippsland, dotted with lively seaside towns, glittering lakes, and beachside camping and glamping options. Inland, lose yourself in the rainforest trails of Tarra Bulga National Park or go high-country hiking and rafting at Alpine National Park.

West Gippsland

Just an hour from Melbourne, the alpine meadows and patchwork farmlands of West Gippsland are peppered with laid-back country villages and tranquil camping spots. Make your base in Warragul, Drouin, or Garfield, from where it’s easy to explore the Bunyip and Moondarra state parks. In winter, the family-friendly ski slopes of Mt Baw Baw or Mt Gwinear are popular getaways for urban skiers.

South Gippsland & Phillip Island

The wild and windswept coastline of Wilsons Promontory National Park is the southernmost point of mainland Australia, and it’s a paradise for intrepid hikers and campers. Further west, Inverloch is the gateway to the beaches and dunes of Anderson Inlet and the dramatic sea cliffs of Cape Paterson. Wildlife is the star of the show over on Phillip’s Island, whether admiring the fur seals at Seal Rocks or watching the famous sunset Penguin Parade.
