Nestled amongst the mountains just outside of the township of Whittlesea our 40-acre property sits above the clouds. This experience comes with sweeping views, a hidden waterfall, a clear campground, and plenty of wildlife.
The camping area is accessible by 4WD only, otherwise, strap on a backpack and earn it! (800m walk/hike from where a non-4WD can park). The waterfall is reached by a single trail track from the campsite, and you do need to be an experienced hiker to get to the waterfall. Which is part of the appeal!
We welcome self-contained campers, who bring their own toilet and take all waste with them. We have a strict Leave No Trace policy.

This area is also popular for 4 wheel driving and there are plenty of tracks in the nearby state forest if you have the correct gear, vehicle and an appreciation for the wilderness.

Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. Caleb and Clara’s site is so thoughtfully set up! They brought out eggs, bread and wood fire (you can purchase for so cheap). We set our tent a little too far from the power source but Caleb loaned us an extra long lead!
It’s perfect for those of us who want an easy camp!
There is a drop toilet (the cleanest compost toilet ever!) You could hook up a shower if staying longer as the creek was low.
Safe to leave your belongings and wander off too.

We had a great stay camping by the lake. It gets beautiful morning sun and welcome shade in the afternoon, making it really comfortable throughout the day. The setting is peaceful and relaxing.
We saw plenty of birdlife and wildlife, including an echidna and kangaroos, which was a real highlight. Jemillia was responsive and very accommodating. We’d definitely stay again.

My 7th time camping at this amazing spot. Glen and Kim never fail to deliver. The time and effort they put into the property to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable is truly a credit to them. Loved our stay at Strath Creek Station. Great amenities and loved how close it was to walk down to the creek from the sites. The fenced in dog park was great aswell. Would definitely come back!

Weekend Trip to Mountain Flower Farm
Loved the camper trailer and the property. The host is a legend, very friendly, responsive, and helpful. Already recommended this stay to all of my friends. The trailer is very clean, well equipped and cozy. The nearby area offers many lovely nature walks and hikes.

Great location, quiet and serene. 20 minutes walk into town for Friday pizza night and karaoke! Gorgeous friendly goats who loved a head rub.
We camped here in February - I recommend bringing some kind of gazebo or marquee to give a bit of shade, as big shady trees are unfortunately not nearby the sites.

Glen and Kim have a great place at Strath Creek for camping. We had a great time and the creek was perfect for the hot weather. The gazebo area was great for the kids and it was super easy to find out camping spot. Toilets were clean and short walk from our camp site.
Would highly recommend!
