Prossers Ridge Richmond is 52 acres of rural paradise within close proximity to the heritage town of Richmond. The topography slopes up from the road to a large flat top and is dotted with weathered gum trees. There are sweeping views in all directions, including a view of the sunrise to the east and spectacular sunset views toward Hobart's Kunanyi (Mount Wellington). The property has good access for all vehicles and there are plenty of flat sites for camping at the top of the property. Some minor leveling may be required in parts for RVs and Caravans. Plenty of space though to find your own peaceful, private patch. And you're welcome to bring your dog along too! Please note: some front wheel drive motorhomes have encountered difficulty getting up the driveway. Property is located a 5 minutes' drive out of Derby. You can cross the river and then you are on the bike track that will take you to Derby or Branxholm, this is a beautiful walking track or carry your bike across river then ride. The river here is freshwater, potable and a renowned trout water, (licence required). Three kilometres from the village of Gretna. 4WD Preferred. 2WD need to assess river access. Campers need all own amenities and leave no trace. Dog friendly but please see rules, we have livestock and so dogs need to be well controlled at all times. WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, acroyoga, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a communal kitchen with fresh running water, solar lights and gas cooker, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.

A recently listed property. Be the first to stay! South of the Bay of Fires, North of Wineglass Bay. A beautiful bush acreage located a five minute amble from Beaumaris Beach. The eastern side has a cleared area with little private nooks to tuck yourself into. Ocean Drive is asphalt to the front gate, then it is firm, level, all weather access to the camping sites. There is clean and well maintained public toilets two hundred metres away. Plenty of kindling is available and camp fires allowed when https://www.fire.tas.gov.au/fire-danger-rating/ is not a total ban. Keep under a metre, ensure the ground is cleared around and attend until extinguished. Pets are welcome, especially dogs 👍 There are private walking trails on the property. St Helens is under fifteen minutes away, Bay of Fires 25 minutes. Scamander 5 minutes. The famous St Helens bike trails are under ten minutes drive or accessible on your bike via the back trails. Ride direct to the trail heads! There is fantastic nine hole golf course at Scamander. Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter. Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby. A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful! Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat. Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

Welcome to Paradise Lagoon! Here you can stay 30 metres back from the foreshore of Pelican Bay. Unfortunately you cannot see the beautiful bay view from the campsite. You can simply walk 30 metres and take your chairs and esky and spend the day marveling at the views and bird life, or even grab the kayak and paddleboard for some healthy fun . Pelican Bay is a saltwater tidal lagoon, it's very shallow water for a long way, then gets deep a fair way out. The water is too shallow for Boats , but there is a boat ramp nearby. Wineglass Bay is just up the road in Freycinet National Park.We only welcome guests over the age of 50 who have a fully self-contained vehicle. There are no amenities as yet so you must BYO everything you need and leave no footprint. Thank you.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Bruny Island at this private slice of the iconic Neck. Instant book, no minimum nights. Dogs welcome (but please keep them inside the property boundary at all times). Our private campground is surrounded by towering Blue Gums, with ten well separated tent/campervan/caravan sites spaced comfortably across 11 acres. Note there are no toilet facilities here - you will need to take everything you bring with you! Note there is a toilet dump point at Alonnah, a short drive south of The Neck. A short walk along a path through the trees will have you standing on the iconic Neck ocean beach. This 11.5 kilometres of pristine sand and ocean offers surfing, swimming and fishing. The beach is also home to the island's Fairy Penguins who return to their burrows in the sand dunes at dusk. The best viewing period is during the warmer months of September to February. Bruny Island Cheese, Get Shucked Oysters, Bruny Island Honey are a ten-minute drive north. Adventure Bay with its Bowls Club, General Store and Service Station and coffee shop are a 15-minute drive south. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. If you arrive at an old weatherboard cottage - you are at the right property, but the incorrect entrance to the campground.

We loved staying at Prossers Ridge , the near 360 views , sunsets and sunrises were wonderful. It was pretty stormy when we stayed so didn’t light a fire but enjoyed being close to wineries and Richmond for rainy day lunches. The place is well thought out with fireplaces spread out to give privacy if it’s busy. There was only one other camper when we visited so felt very secluded. We hope to return in the warmer weather.

Absolutely stunning! Would 100% come back here again. Lots of area to choose from with amazing views and some firewood provided if you want a fire up there. Unfortunately our set up wasn’t well thought out for the wind warnings (roof top tent) so we had to leave but the owner was so kind to arrange a refund almost instantly for us. Great location beautiful views and it was lovely to fall asleep listening to the ocean. The only downside was the ground was extremely boggy and wet but Isaac did let us know this prior to our arrival. Obviously this is something out of his control. There has been a lot of rain in recent times.

Located opposite a cherry orchard close to supermarkets and food outlets, the property has land for off grid self contained camping and caravans. Unfortunately we do not have toilet facilities on the property. It's within 20 minutes of Hobart, within 2 km of Bonnorong wild life park and 1 km from motor racing circuit. Close to the picturesque town of Richmond a colonial town established in early 1800s. Dog friendly but must be controlled as we have many native animals such as galahs, native hens, ducks, rosella's, echidnas. We grow our own vegetables, have a vast array of fruit trees and variety of berries and free range eggs. Guest's must have their own toilet and shower facilities on board.

WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, acroyoga, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a communal kitchen with fresh running water, solar lights and gas cooker, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. We are passionate about outdoor living and supporting the natural environment and have created WildWing with the intention to support others to have unique and beautiful experiences in nature, while caring for the land they inhabit.

Our property runs beef and cultivates crops alongside the Ringarooma river, North East Tasmania. We often host mountain bike riders here to access the world-class trails at Derby. Nearby are many marked mountain trails, and numerous falls. Skiing is 1hr away in the winter. Our camping site is alongside cattle grazing paddocks and the Ringarooma river, and we offer one site only, to one group at a time, so it's yours exclusively. A toilet is available nearby. A gravel track descends to the river with a short steep bank preceding the flats. When the track reaches the river the camping site is just through the gate on the right. One gate and two wire gates may require opening on the way and these gates need to be closed again to prevent cattle from wandering. Electrical fencing is in use and alive - please be careful! Wood for your campfire is available to purchase, $15. I can supply fresh sourdough loaves $6 also fresh eggs $3perhalf doz, and fresh cows milk most of the year $5/2L. Fly fish for trout and cook over the coals for a treat. Welcome to bring your dog along, but please keep them under control.

Welcome to Paradise Lagoon! Here you can stay 30 metres back from the foreshore of Pelican Bay. Unfortunately you cannot see the beautiful bay view from the campsite. You can simply walk 30 metres and take your chairs and esky and spend the day marveling at the views and bird life, or even grab the kayak and paddleboard for some healthy fun . Pelican Bay is a saltwater tidal lagoon, it's very shallow water for a long way, then gets deep a fair way out. The water is too shallow for Boats , but there is a boat ramp nearby. Wineglass Bay is just up the road in Freycinet National Park.We only welcome guests over the age of 50 who have a fully self-contained vehicle. Penicott Wilderness Journeys and Fish Bruny Island private charters are also located at Adventure Bay. 15 minutes drive to the south west is Alonnah, where you'll find the brilliant Bruny Island Hotel - a pub with the best food, service and amazing sunset view over the Channel and Satellite Island. Alonnah is also home to the local Police Station, Pharmacy, Cricket Club, two great coffee shop options, and a skate bowl for the concrete shredders. NOTE: your GPS is likely to send you several hundred metres south of the actual property entrance. Look for the small red Australian flag on the side of the road, indicating the location of the entrance. The site also has drinking water water available free. Due to our children and our Alpaca on site pets must be kept on a leash. Visiting children are welcome to help our kids feed Alpaca, just ask. The property has an orchard of cherry plums, apples, pears, lemons and apricots. There are great walks and sites to see in the local area. It's possible to see Aurora from your campsite, but not guaranteed.

Welcome to The Bush Circus. This is where I love to play and I welcome you here. All the deets you may need are listed here so read careful. Of course you can contact me if you can't work something out. You arrive here at the bottom corner of the property on Slab Rd where there is a place to park cars around several large gum trees. There is a very short walk through bush on manicured trails to one of three dedicated camp sites all of which is sign posted. There is also one RV spot at the car park. Toilet is located within a short walk from each campsite. All sights are reasonably flat and they all have a campfire. Please feel free to pick up twigs and breakable sticks to create a fire. If you want firewood it is $1 per piece and you can put this into the tin at where the firewood is collected. RV Spot- This is marked out as a section on the car park area. There may be some other cars near you but these are for the campers. Holy Tree Camp- The first sign takes you to this camp. You will see the tree with the burnt out base. Suitable for a small to medium tent. Tall Tree Camp- Second sign leads to here. It is adjacent to the tallest tree on the property. Small to medium tent. Octopus Tree Camp- Look up. You will see how it gets its name. Small to medium tent. This is a small property and if you get lost just follow the tracks you will find the camp you have booked. There are two toilets. Toilet one is for number 2's and toilet 2 is for number 1's. Just to make it confusing. All signposted but message me if you can't work it out. The circus area is not available for campers. There is also an outdoor shower to rinse off after a swim. The beach is a 5 minute walk away. We have a deck positioned to pull up to next to the shed. Clifton Beach is a beachside community located on the south arm peninsula 25 minutes from Hobart city and is the closest surf beach to Hobart. The south arm peninsula itself has many great walks and beautiful beaches. It is a great spot to base yourself to explore Hobart and local attractions. e.g Port Arthur 90 minutes. Our Hipcamp site has full council approval.

Aug 2024: the site now has a flat patch for campers visiting 🏕️ The plot is nearly 3 acres and is earmarked conservation land and surrounded by neighbouring conservation land. This is your perfect lunawuni/Bruny Island escape! It is tucked away from the no-through gravel road and surrounded by Australian bush and wildlife with filtered water views of D'Entrecasteaux Channel and 100 m from the beach. It's a tranquil heaven yet so close to all the famous Bruny sites and must dos: Bruny oysters, beer and cheese (why not bring some to the campsite to enjoy?) The Neck, Truganini Lookout + penguins! Cape Queen Elizabeth Track and other hiking trails Adventure Bay and *white wallabies (*we give you a map on where to go to find the white wallabies!!) South Bruny, and the Light house When you book our site, you have it all to yourself! Except for sharing it with the wildlife, of course. As the name suggests, there is a family of quolls living on the land and you are very likely to see them! Once dusk arrives and the stars start lighting up the sky, the quolls usually come out to say hi before they start their night activities. Joining the quolls, are the potoroos who are not afraid to come up close and sniff your feet in curiosity. If you are yet to see a quoll and a potoroo in the wild, this is your campsite! Other wildlife includes the endangered Forty Spotted Pardalote and critically endangered Swift Parrots. To access the beach, simply walk through the property to the end of the plot and follow the path. There is an echidna living near the road so keep an eye out for her. The campsite is a perfect spot to see wildlife, and birds, and for photography. On the campsite is a large outdoor kitchen with two sinks. Wait... is there a bathtub? Yes! The bathtub is great for a bush shower (byo solar shower) as the taps are not connected. You must bring your own toilet. Rainwater is available too, we have two tanks! Campfires are allowed but you cannot collect firewood on the property. Please bring your own firewood or add it at the time of booking and we will provide you with firewood for your stay. The land is a conservation area and quolls are known to live in up to 5 nests. They live under the logs and it is an important habitat for the species. We love the quolls and know you will too so please do not disturb their homes. The site is excellent for stargazing once nightfall arrives. Simply BYO a hammock (we have prepared the setup!) and lie down to watch the stars with a glass of red or a hot chocolate. We recommend campervans for the site and it's only suited to self-contained campers leaving no trace behind. Available on-site and free to use are also a director's chair and a table. The kitchen is also equipped with a double sink, dish rack, two buckets, BBQ tools, cutlery, and a dustpan. There is also a cleaning kit with biodegradable spray, hand sanitizer, and soap. There are also a set of caravan/van leveling ramps and chocks for you to freely use. The site is perfect for those wishing to find privacy amongst an otherwise busy Island. There are no facilities on the block apart from a long drop dunny (byo paper) and a small supply of non-potable water so you will need to be self-sufficient though there are good meals at the nearby Lufra Hotel and excellent coffee just up the road at the legendary Cubed Coffee van. Valley's Nest is your very own rustic cabin in the Fingal Valley, nestled under Bare Rock and overlooking Ben Lomond. The property has a house, shack, 2x A-Frame cabins, gardens and a dam. You access Valley's Nest via a separate driveway and is your very own private retreat that perches above it all. Come and experience the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, wildlife and tranquility. If you're looking for adventure, Bare Rock offers world class rock-climbing and is a short walking distance from Valley's Nest. If mountain-biking is your thing, Derby is an hour away, and 50mins to St Helens. And the exquisite East Coast beaches are 30mins away. If it's rest and relaxation you're needing, we have you covered with stunning views from the cabin and fire-bath, reading materials and paints. The cabin itself has a cosy wood stove heater, and is furnished with a double bed with pillows and a queen-sized doona. There is an undercover outdoor small kitchen with a 2 burner gas stovetop, basic kitchenware (with hand-held coffee grinder and aeropress), sink, solar lighting and rechargeable camping lanterns. The toilet is a private eco-throne with a view to Bare Rock. It is composting and only a short walk from the cabin. We provide you with wood for the indoor wood stove, an esky, bed linen, towels, tea-towels, basic kitchenware, cooking basics and toilet paper. The kitchen sink and bath water comes from a spring fed dam, perfect for washing your dishes and bathing in. Please bring your own fresh drinking water. Please note this is rustic accommodation, the cabin doesn’t have 240v, only a solar powered charging port with USB-A/C inputs to recharge the camping lanterns and your devices. You may wish to bring head torches for night time reading and card games! There is no wifi available but there is strong mobile phone service. Fingal is fondly known by the locals as "the Valley", and hosts several coffee and food vans for travellers passing through. Fingal is located just 15 mins to local township St Marys, where you'll find IGA Supermarkets and the popular pub/restaurant St Marys Hotel. Also the gold-prospecting rivers of Mathinna and Mangana are both short drives away.

Very private valley nestled between two mountainous sandstone ranges. 3.5 kilometers from Colebrook, via Yarlington road. The property in total size is 37 hectares half of which is gently undulating grassland slopes. These slopes lead to the banks of the beautiful Iles Creek which runs nearly all year round. The western range across the creek includes numerous caves within comfortable walking distance. The highest cave provides magnificent views to the East coast. Camping options include non-designated sites either side of the creek under the huge black-wood trees, restricted to 4-wheel drive vehicles during winter and spring months, with a secluded site with year-round access for all vehicles. At the entrance sits the first of the designated sites, the rest are accessed via the meandering road down 300 or so meters to the camping ground entrance for the other two sites. The last 500-700 meters of Yarlington road leading to the entrance is quite steep. Some two wheel drive vehicles towing large vans have found this challenging, while others haven't. The two main camping areas now have a 'bush loo' in each site. if you wish to use these please use your own paper. Also, now for camper convenience the whole area has access to the campers' lounge and resource shelter. It contains First Aid and snake bite first aid kits. Water is available here. Aplite House

APLITE HOUSE sits amongst a two-hundred-acre private property of a secluded forest. The property is fringed by the world-renowned Freycinet National Park. Aplite House is conveniently located along the "Great Eastern Drive" on the Freycinet Peninsula, between Coles Bay and Bicheno at Friendly Beaches. Aplite House is a 2.5 hr drive from Hobart, a 2 hr drive from Launceston, a 1.5 hr drive from St Helensa, a 40 min drive from Swansea, and a 25 min drive from Coles Bay or Bicheno. Aplite House is a very private home base that is well-positioned for exploring Tasmania's East Coast. While at the house there is a sense of immersion in the native Tasmanian forest with views over the Moulting Lagoon conservation area it is a very relaxing and tranquil environment. Nearby are pristine Friendly Beaches that are almost 8 km long and most times feels like you have the entire beach to yourself. Aplite House is a sanctuary in the heart of one of Australia's most iconic landscapes. While enjoying the seclusion and privacy of the property it is within easy reach to explore Coles Bay, Bicheno, Wineglass Bay hiking trail, Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, Bluestone Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse, Bicheno Blowhole, Denison Beach, Freycinet National Park, Douglas Apsley National Park and East Coast Vineyards, along with the many other activities the region offers. The property surrounding Aplite House is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna including orchids, Tasmanian devils, wombats, possums, wallabies, quolls, and wedge-tail eagles. Architecturally designed by Stephen Geason. Stephen was commissioned as a Director of the prominent Hobart Architectural firm Dock 4. He was selected because of his appreciation for Tasmania and the Freycinet region. The brief was to design a solar passive, site-specific home used for short to medium-length, self-catering stays of guests, with multiple locations to relax, built using Tasmanian materials. Stephen first visited the property prior to any site preparation, he walked over the entire property and discussed the location.
