WildWing Retreat is a beautiful 25 acre bush block in Four Mile Creek, located within a 15 minute (1km) walk, to the local surf beach of Four Mile. The property has been created to host retreats centred around nature immersion, movement and connection (i.e yoga, bodywork, dance, meditation, mindfuness, embodiment practices etc) and in the 'off season' it's available to host hipcampers! Because the space has been designed to host large groups, there are a bunch of facilities available to use, such as compost toilets, a fully equipped communal kitchen with fresh running hot & water, solar lights and gas cookers, an undercover deck area, hot showers, and a cedar barrel hot tub (refer to the extras section for hot tub use!). We also have a small stream on the property, with a little waterhole for plunging in and are surrounded by native wildlife. The property blooms with native Kunzea bushes, wattles, native cherries and various varieties of eucalyptus. WildWing is also our home, so we have our own set up, on a different section of the property. This means that we are nearby if needed, but that we all have our own space on the property :). There is a beautiful large fresh water river and waterhole just down the road (15 minute walk, or 2 minute drive), and aside from the surf beach down the front, we are also only a 10-15 minute drive from a bunch of other beautiful and popular surf beaches on the east coast. The whole area is great for fishing, boating, surfing, bike riding, walking and short hikes. We are a 10 minute drive from Falmouth, a 25 minute drive from the St Helens mountain bike trails, a 30 minute drive from Bicheno & Douglas Apsley National Park, a 45 minute drive from the infamous Bay of Fires and an hours drive from the Freycinet National Park. It is 40 acres and we have MANY MANY free roaming animals, milking goats, ducks, chickens, cows, 3 BIG dogs. (The dogs will get out of the way of cars so just drive ahead and the dogs will move out of your way they have big barks but they are friendly) PLEASE NOTE: If you have any issues with dogs let us know in ADVANCE and we can lock them in their yard for your stay. EVERYONE is told upon arrival to honk/toot your horn if you have any issues or need help and one of us will come and help if you let us know! Otherwise we leave people in peace to camp as they wish and where they want. The property has a big guest house that is currently empty, this is where the flushing toilet is for you to use whilst camping if you like. This Rustic country house is also available for hire/rent, there is hot water via a woodfire (takes up to 5 hours to heat up water $50 per wheelbarrow load of wood) with Big triangle bath and a shower for use if you book the house, (3 single beds and a few new double bed air mattresses are available for your less rugged campers who want to come but need that extra comfort or to be close to a toilet at $40 per person per night.) Food scraps must go in the compost bin on site. Visitors are welcome to enjoy a fire when conditions allow it. Longer pieces of firewood are provided free of charge and kindling can easily be collected from around. (Please don't use the shorter pieces of cut firewood as they are for my wood heater). Onsite we have kayaks and safety equipment for guests to use(deposit required). Located in Ranelagh, 2 mins from Huonville, 45 mins from Hobart, 20 mins from Cygnet, 10 mins from Franklin. Your hosts offer several multiple bed options and plenty of parking for any sized vehicle in the behind paddock which offers a great dog exercise space. Our Glamping accomodation houses 2 people comfortably for 2 or more nights with a traditional Japanese futon for sleeping and organic cotton and linen bedding with cosy feather doonas for all seasons. A unique rustic bathroom with an eco compost toilet and hot shower. Cosy up around the fire pit and drink a glass of world class local whisky or wine or visit the local pubs and restaurants or come down to the house and say hi if you’d like. We are professional folk musicians and like nothing more than meeting new people and sharing our beautiful property.

We loved our 2 night stay at Cherry Top Farm. Loved waking up to the sound of birds and the walk to the toilet through the garden beds was lovely. They have a PowerPoint to charge your phone and a tap to fill up water bottles. Super easy to get to Launceston and we made use of the public pool down the road that has free hot showers. They were also kind enough to give us some of their produce!

I loved the camping at Cherry tops, hosts were very nice and welcoming people. The camp site has some nice views. Toilet was very clean, there is fresh water to drink and refill your bottles, and there is a very nice hot shower available for a fee.

We had the BEST time during our stay at Mike and Sheena’s boho retreat. It was cozy and comfortable with everything we needed for us to feel at home away from home. The area itself is exactly what we were hoping for: quiet and secluded with a beautiful beach that went on for miles without seeing another soul, but still only a fifteen minute drive from St Marys for any supplies needed. What made it even more special was being able to bring our fur babies along with us. We have two very happy (and tired!) doggies from a weekend full of beach days. We would love to stay here again one day, and have already recommended it to many of our friends.

I loved the well crafted shelters, each with beautiful features, made from the timber grown on-site and found materials. The bush setting was peaceful and restoring, and the short amble down to the beach was a delight. The plumbing seemed like a sculpture, and worked well, solar hot and fresh cold water. Danny welcomed us warmly and we felt at home and comfortable.

Ein sehr schöner campground. Nette und umsichtiger Gastgeber. Man hat dort seine Ruhe und Abgeschiedenheit ohne auf Annehmlichkeiten verzichten zu müssen. Viele Tiere sind zu sehen, man kann sie beobachten oder selbst füttern. Die Anfahrt ist etwas verwirrend, aber wenn man es gefunden hat wird man belohnt. Wir empfehlen es unbedingt weiter.

The Bohemian Beach retreat was just the cosiest place! We absolutely loved our time here - you can tell a lot of love has gone into this place over the years and it feels like home. The outdoor fire pit and bath were highlights. Note the toilet and shower are an outhouse and if its poor weather it can be a wet trip there and back. In saying that - not a negative for us.

We had such a beautiful weekend staying at Mike and Sheena’s Boho beach retreat, it felt peaceful and welcoming. We loved that our dogs could come along with us — it made the weekend feel even more special having them there. The space itself was perfect — simple, cosy, and had everything we needed. It was so nice to switch off, unwind, and enjoy the quiet by the beach. The fire bath was such a highlight — sitting in the warm bath in the rain was pure bliss. We left feeling relaxed, reconnected, and already talking about when we can come back.
