Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. 4 nights at TerraLyra Sanctuary Retreat

My man and I loved tent camping along the water. The sunset views and starry nights were to die for. So peaceful and the ladies who run the stay were absolutely wonderful. While packing up my car wouldn't start so they came down and fixed my car. Dogs were so cute and my puppy had an amazing time swimming in the dam. As a young couple with a dog, this place was perfect.

Mandy and Alan were very welcoming. They greeted us on arrival, gave us the lay of the land and the rundown on the amenities. About 4ish, Alan came dosn and rounded up the 4 kids and whisked them off into the next yard to feed the alpacas. Unfortunately we got rained out and couldn't stay the planned two nights, but the kids had a ball mucking about in the rain and chasing the frogs about. The amenities are fantastic - best campground shower I've ever had. The kitchen area is well-configured and we found anything we hsd forgotten to pack was probably in there. I'm definitely keen to stay again, hopefully during some cooler and more predictable weather.

Bunya Red Farm was really fantastic! The caper farm tour was very interesting (and delicious) and feeding the alpacas was a highlight. The grounds were so picturesque with farmland views in all directions. We loved the star-filled night sky and serenity of the place. Mandy and Allen were incredible hosts. Would recommend a stay in a heartbeat.

We stayed over the October weekend & while it was very busy, we still felt like we had enough space on our site. The amenities were cleaned regularly & we really enjoyed that warm shower! Hosts were wonderful, we felt very welcomed :-). It was a bit of a hike up to the toilet/shower but on wonderful property! Would see us coming back to try it out when it’s not the long weekend off for everyone to get a bit more of the healing 🌞

Beautiful and peaceful property. It was one of the busiest times of the year but they kept the number of people low. Heather and Co. were always up for a chat over the coffee machine in the morning. It's only a few kms off the hiway but we couldn't hear any traffic. A dip in the dam is a nice refreshing way to start the day. If you want peace and quiet, this is the perfect spot for you.

We had the most wonderful experience at Bunya Red Farm! From the moment we arrived, Mandy and Alan made us feel completely at home. They’re warm, welcoming, and genuinely passionate about creating a peaceful, family-friendly space — truly excellent hosts. Our 6-year-old was in heaven climbing the big tree near the campsite — it quickly became the highlight of the trip! Alan’s farm tours were a great — informative, engaging, and an absolute laugh! Amazing host... Sharni and Graeme and their grandson are the best host you could ever asked for. Very accommodating and helpful. Graeme and the grandson Jax and Jacob welcomed us from the gate and lead us to the campsite. The friendly farm animals were also a big bonus. My son enjoyed this time playing with Jax and Jacob. Cant thank enough for their hospitality.
