Beautiful natural spot, 20 minutes from Atherton, magical. Nicest composting toilet I've ever seen :). I would suggest taking your own drinking water rather than boiling the river water on site, as the surrounding farmland probably leaches a lot of agricultural chemicals into the river.

This a lovely shady campsite right on the Barron River with it’s own mini water fall, really peaceful and secluded with added luxury if a composting toilet and out door shower. There are also kayaks for guests to use which was an added bonus, we loved having a paddle up and down the river, pet friendly our dog loved it. Loads of well mown grass area to play around in. We loved it and will definitely be back 😎❤️

What a wonderful spot to stay - private and relaxing beside the river - great sound of flowing water at the rapids. Glancing at its finest with shower and toilet provided. Good campfire area set up - though we experimented with our hiking fire stove as in pictures beside campfire pit. Hope to be back - it’s just a lovely soul reviving spot. Plenty to do for kids as well with plenty of area to play games and run.

We went for the Easter long weekend for the first time and we had heaps of fun as a family! The splash pad, pool and the jumping pillow were just the highlight for our kids and so was the basketball court. The staff were super friendly and there were some Easter activities which were organised such as the Easter Egg Hunt, Fire Truck visit, face painting and live music... all unexpected but heaps of fun! Wish that the basketball court had some lights though so we could have played a few games after dinner and the camp-site numbering system needs an update for sure as most of them were deteriorated.

This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Our shallow freshwater creeks are refreshing to explore and, for deep water swimming and kayaking, it's only a five minute drive to Babinda Crossing. Hikers can explore our headlands or venture further to dedicated hiking trails including scaling the 922 metre high Walsh's Pyramid that's only a ten minute drive away. Birdwatchers are spoiled for choice day and night, beautiful insects are in abundance, small native marsupials and reptiles are regularly seen, and the waterways are home to a variety of tropical fish as well as the occasional crocodile in the main river. We’re a great base location for exploring the area as we’re only 15 minutes to the town of Gordonvale and less than an hour to Cairns International Airport, the Great Barrier Reef and the Atherton Tablelands. Boaties can take the ten minute drive to Deeral Boat Ramp to launch their vessel and head down the Mulgrave River to Russel Heads and out to the Great Barrier Reef and islands.
