Escape the ordinary, reconnect with nature on our private bushland park and peaceful lake. Enjoy swimming, kayaking, and relaxing in a calm, natural setting,no motors, just birdsong and open skies.
We are proudly off-grid with no powered sites. Our focus is peace, space, and sustainability. Motorised equipment is not allowed on our lake, but Somerset Dam (40 minutes away) welcomes boating and jet skis.
Campsites ; Facilities
We have 24 spacious sites, some lakefront and others among trees or open fields. Lakefront spots can’t be guaranteed — sites are assigned based on group size and setup. If you’re camping with others, please message after booking so we can place you together.
Facilities include:
• Three flushing toilets and two hot showers in the main area with 3 porta loos.
• 2 Porta-loos at remote sites (max 500 m from amenities)
• Firepits at every site (subject to restrictions)
• Firewood available $20 per 20–25 kg bag (no BYO wood)
Access ; Vehicles
Our 1 km private driveway is unsealed but fine for 2WD when driven carefully. Please do the assigned speed limits. You can park at your site once set up. For safety, no joyriding or unnecessary driving around the property. Supervise your children at all times.

Well-behaved dogs are welcome under control. We’re surrounded by bushland with ticks, spiders, and snakes — please use tick protection and take normal care.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

The camp kitchen area and camp ground can be booked for private functions when available.

If you have plans to do the Lincoln Wreck or Steamers while staying please do some research either by Google or YouTube or ask us any questions please. These are wilderness walks that need to be treated with respect.
Border Main Range National Park. Emu Creek Valley 20 km. Which places you close access to many park walks include 2km from the start of the Lincoln Bomber Walk. Or walk to the STEAMERS. Prow Funnel Mast Stern. Spring and Bellbird Walk on Broangus, commanding views of surrounding peaks.
Our property offers three camping areas. Creek Flat, Paddock Areas. and Prow View. Fire pits at all sites. Can purchase bags off wood at property bags $10. Cracking camp areas prior to or after walks. Or just kick back with family and friends put a camp oven on relax and enjoy the mountain air.

Recommend off-road or four-wheel-drive, on road vans can access but need to take it very slowly as there’s four water crossings with gravel and small rocks.

I was told that as I journeyed around Australia I would find a place to settle and Maryvale on the Darling Downs was love at first sight.
I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area.
Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside.
The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits.
There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.
Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request.
1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request.
Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full.

How to get to us? We have two ways in .
Option 1:
Via Flagstone onto Bushman Drive – then into Wyatt road follow to the end and turn right onto undullah road follow for 5 ks .
we approximately 14 km from the Flagstone Shopping Centre.
Please note: 10 km of this route is gravel road. 4x4 vehicle access is recommended.
Option 2:
From the Centenary Freeway roundabout, at ripley head 21 km along Ripley Road, which continues and changes name to Undullah Road.
This route is 4x4 access is recommended with some narrow bends – please drive to conditions. We do have 2 wheel drives make the journey !

I am happy to share my love for this property and welcome travellers to enjoy the tranquillity of the riverside and enjoy some of the walks and other features of the area.
Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside.
The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits.
There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking.
Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies.
We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane.
Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet.
Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request.
1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request.
Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full.

Absolutely gorgeous spot for a getaway and chance to unplug from the world and relax.
Would highly recommend bringing a bunch of board games, a nice puzzle and face masks for the ultimate relaxing experience.
Just note that the suite is attached to the main house and you will need to walk past their front door to get to and from. But Rose and Russel are lovely and the suite still felt private.

What a place. Absolutely loved it here. The first this the wife said when we drove through the gate was, "this looks well maintained", and it was every camp area was nicely mowed all facilities were clean and stocked.
Our hosts Brian and Tania (and the extended family we met) were amazing. Very friendly, accommodating and up for a chat.
There is plenty of room for all types of camping to glamping.
Will definitely be returning.

We had a fantastic camping experience at Lakeside Campsites at Bushywood, Woodfordskilake. The setting is absolutely beautiful, with peaceful lakeside views and plenty of space to relax and enjoy nature. The campsite felt calm and well cared for, making it easy to switch off and unwind. Listening to the sounds of nature and the view over the water was a real highlight.
The facilities were clean and well maintained, and the whole area felt welcoming and safe. It’s a great spot for families, couples, or anyone looking for a quiet break outdoors. Whether you’re sitting by your tent, exploring the surroundings, or just enjoying the scenery, Bushywood has a lovely atmosphere. I definitely recommend it and would happily return for another stay!

What a great spot. So much room and the amenities were luxury. We were lucky enough to watch the sun go down in the pool with a bevy. It was really interesting to hear how Brian created all the bits and pieces on the site. They are great hosts.

We loved our stay here, well maintained property with a great river to swim in. Friendly staff at arrival and departure. Took two dogs and all of the other campers were friendly and happy for dogs to play together.

Beautiful camp grounds. Lots of privacy. Massive bonfire was fun for my teenage son and his friends. Friendly hosts, good shower. The lake with Kayaks was a hit.

Lots of green space and overall lovely property! We had a vehicle with awning and tent. The communal area was so great - with full kitchen, appliances, and even a very welcome plunge pool as it was very hot today and yesterday. I can imagine when the creek is going it would be so perfect! Thanks for a great stay.

Beautiful spot. Had a great trip. Loved having the dogs with us. The dam/lake is lovely. Sand bottom, clean water and a mix of hot and cold spots. We had our own floats but some supplied if you don’t. Slide was fun.
