Welcome to She-oak Hideaway, located in Maryvale by the riverside. The riverside is a peaceful place with two large camping areas and firepits. There are 2 large waterholes suitable for swimming, fishing and kayaking. Down by the riverside you will see Water dragons, turtles, ducks, swamp hens, many birds, occasional Wallabies and Koala. Most afternoons the local Rikali (Australias Otter) can be seen diving for Yabbies. We are an 11 minute drive to the very popular Main range national Park which has some beautiful hiking trails and is the perfect place for a picnic. We have a great country pub close by as well which is a short walk down a country lane. Pets are welcome but please ensure they are under your control and that you clean up after them. Campers must be self sufficient with their own toilet. Rubbish bins are provided for campers and a treated rain water tap is available. Kayaks and life jackets are available on request. 1 - 10 Amp power connection is also available on request. Firewood can be purchased for $15 a bag or $20 for a wheelbarrow full. Lots of space between sites, good, clean ammenities block if you need it with hot water and provisions for fire at every site. Very helpful staff on site. We camped with a party of 5 caravans / camper trailers at the quiet end of the lake, farthest from reception. Enough room for an even larger group. We were only a 300 metre walk from the main swimming hole. With lake frontage, shaded camp sites. A great weekend even with rainy weather. Will definitely come back to Bushywood!
