Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. Our 40 acres of farmland have a collection of heritage horse-drawn implements for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy a glass of wine while the sun goes down. There is something for everyone with plenty to see and do during your stay at Milford Country Cottages. Milford Country Cottages has two accommodation options, Rose Cottage, and Bottle Tree Cottage, plus hectares of land to explore. Great for a romantic weekend for couples. Ideal for families (2 adults, 2 children). Each cottage has been carefully decorated and each has its own character to make you feel at home whilst enjoying a country escape. Both cottages are fully self-contained with all amenities available, including all bed and bathroom linen. They are fully air-conditioned for your comfort and feature two bedrooms: one with a queen-sized bed and the other with twin singles. We also have disabled access at our Rose Cottage with a wheelchair access ramp and widened doorways. Each cottage has parking adjacent to them for easy access and convenience. Check-in is from 2 pm, and check-out is by 10 am (a later check-out can be easily arranged.

Lake Cottage Mount Walker

A private lake, totalling 25 acres, on a 320acre farm, just one hour from the centre of Brisbane in the Scenic Rim Regional Council. A farm stay with privacy, space and stunning scenery for guests to relax. Views of the lake, Mount Walker and the Great Dividing Range. Plenty of fish in the lake for keen anglers. Bird watching. Private walking tracks. Large windows to take in the lake, farm and mountain views. A veranda and fire pit. Shady trees by the lake to sit, picnic and fish. Walk down to the Bremer River to look for platypus, koala or echidna. Escape to the country and create some memories. The cottage would allow a family to have the best of both worlds, children could camp safely next to a fire pit under the stars, whilst their parents enjoy the comforts of home. Fully self-contained lake cottage: airconditioned; one bedroom; queen size bed; one bathroom; shower over bathtub; open plan living; full sized kitchen; full size fridge; toaster; kettle; electric fry pan; basic kitchen set up; washing machine; dryer; ironing board and iron. We have a variety of campsites to choose from. . Camping is presently basic as we are building it up and is better suited for campers with fully equipped 4WD. Not all sites have toilets we ve now 3 toilets 1 bottom space 1 mid and 1 at top . Some campsites are more secluded than others, some have toilets some dont and of course great views. The kids will love toasting marshmallows around the campfire in the evenings. Sit back, relax and gaze at the stars. Pets welcome. The property is hilly and may be unsuitable for camper homes. No harming the wildlife, our wildlife is harmless if you do not provoke it or threaten it, Please use water wisely . There are dams and water holes and drains on the property as it is a working farm.

We had a small group of families. Mix of sleepers in the house and campers. You get all the freedom and natural surroundings of bush camping with the simple pleasures that come with a full resourced home. The creek is divine. The breezes ideal flowing under the verandah. We will be back.

2 nights at Figtree Farm at Findon Creek

Five wonderful nights spent tucked away at Eagles Rest in Findon Creek. Nestled in lush green hillside, this thoughtfully designed, purpose built home provided a peaceful sanctuary. We enjoyed everything from outdoor showers to refreshing dips in swimming holes and relaxing evenings around the fire pit under a star spangled sky. The space allowed us to be completely at one with nature, being surrounded by an abundance of bird song. We wished we could have stayed longer, but we look forward to a return visit. Thank you to our hosts Andrzej & Jane for responding promptly to any small queries during our stay.

Weekend Trip to Moogerah Valley Homestead

Great spot on the lake. Very quiet and private but within a short drive to shops and cafes if you need them. Spectacular views and a charming old house. Well maintained garden with plenty of space and a fire pit. House was comfortable with a well equipped kitchen. We made the mistake of leaving the windows open as the sun set and then the house was full of insects (despite the fly screens), so once we knew to avoid that mistake the next night we had no dramas.

It is so quiet and picturesque, the view is amazing. Jess has kept it simple yet everything you need is there. We went gold fossicking down the road for a bit of fun. There is a local shop nearby with the bare necessities at a reasonable price. Loved having a fire place .
