Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee. Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp. Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent. Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set up on top of other campers. Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of 2pm to 6pm. Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all times. No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users. No antisocial behavior. No camping on creek banks. No playing around toilet block area. No livestock to be kept on the park. No cutting down trees. No person to travel in the load area of vehicles. No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between your campsite and the road. No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones or fireworks allowed in the park. No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek. No washing dishes or clothing in creek. No hitting of Golf balls. No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok). No swings to be tied to trees. Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for trespassing. Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use of the park. If you have a 4wd you can take a short drive up to Spicers Gap National Park. Here there is a short walk out to the Governors Chair lookout with spectacular views of the Fassifern Valley and beyond. We currently don't have a boat ramp however once you have launched your boat at the public boat ramp we have a nice bay in front of the campground where you can anchor your boat.

You will see us pottering in the garden or walking our poodle, but we will leave you to your privacy. We have a beautiful vintage bus that we have converted into a farm shop and you can buy olives, relishes, honey, jam, seasonings, magnesium and more. We welcome small gatherings to celebrate birthdays, engagements or function (Christmas etc) just let us know during the booking process. We would appreciate quiet after 10pm. We are only 8 minutes from shops in town and a short drive for all of the Scenic Rim's attractions. We are in the heart of The Scenic Rim. The camping grounds is private and picturesque in our back paddocks - looking back over our olive grove and out to the great dividing range. We have fire pits set up in the camp area - please bring an extinguisher, wood and matches. The camp grounds has an easy access and campers have had no issues levelling out on the gentle slope or go higher up the paddock to the trees and the ground is level with the best views of the mountain ranges. Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. We are always on site and happy to help with anything you need. *Please note any negative feedback for camping received was from a festival that took place on our property in 2022 and the event organisers promised the campers facilities and did not deliver. Unfortunately Hipcamp won't remove these comments and we had no management of these customers. ALL other positive comments are through us direct.

Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east. Campers & Day Trippers Rules: The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park. By using this park you agree to the following rules. All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed limit. Fires must be extinguished prior to departure. Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish. It must be taken with you! The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem! Olive View Farm is ideal for self sufficient campers. At the front of the property near the bus shop we have permanent picnic tables set up for anyone to use. Dogs on a lead are welcome - we have lots of Kangaroos and Wallabies and we want to protect them. The property was first settled in the 1840’s and became the headquarters of Tamrookum Station in 1878 when Robert Collins and his family purchased the property. Just over an hour from the Gold Coast and Brisbane. At Logan Park Farm we have camping grounds and Murphy's Country Accommodation - a three bedroom cottage. Scenic Rim Regional Council Camp Ground Licence Acc21/0010 and Acc21/0012 There are no facilities here, if you do not have toilet facilities please do not book any of our sties. Firewood is available please message if you require it. Please arrive to camp prior to dark. Message host if you need to arrive later. The camp sites are spacious with plenty of distance between each site - no crowds. Each site is for your group only. Open for bookings for Christmas and New Year - numbers are limited. No large parties. We prefer to promote a quieter area. Beautiful sunsets, mountain views, birds and quiet surroundings. Enjoy the stars on a clear night. Explore the beautiful Scenic Rim area from here. Visit the historic Tamrookum All Saints Memorial Church. A large natural lagoon and the Logan River provide opportunities to relax, swim, fish or kayak. An abundance of Carp and Tilapia provide great fishing opportunities at the Lagoon or the Logan River. Children aged 12 years and under no charge (please do not include them in your numbers when making a booking) Pet friendly off-grid camping. All sites are unpowered. No motorboats or motor bikes. No parties - this is a quiet camping area please keep noise including music to a minimum level. Please respect our wildlife, our neighbours and your camping neighbours at all times. Enjoy our large camp sites with family and friends. Noise travels easily in the evening please reduce noise by 9pm. Larger groups welcome on some sites please message hosts. Tamrookum Store is 2 kilometres away for general goods, fuel and take away food.

Christmas Creek Cedar Cabin is a Tiny Home in the Scenic Rim. Positioned on a hill above Christmas Creek to take in the views, were you can watch the sun rise over Little Widgee Mountain and the sun set over the mountains to the west. We loved our time at Bindarah Downs. We were welcomed by Shayne and had a nice chat. The property was freshly mowed and well prepared for us. The surrounding creek was lovely to cool off in. We met some of the horses and they were given a Weet Bix treat and a scratch. It reached 36 degrees but sitting under the huge trees kept us comfortably cool. Fire wood for sale on site is a bonus too. Will definitely be back!

We stayed in 1A. The outlook was fabulous. It seemed as if the facilities had been let go a bit - pool table felt torn, picnic and outbuildings were a bit dirty and unkept and the kayaks had their own issues 😂. But, overall, for a family camp close to Brisbane, it was 5 stars!!!

Absolutely lovely spot right next to the dam. Light breeze most days. Space between campers. Maintained by wonderful hosts who weren't intrusive but did come down to check on us on occasion (we were here in the big supercell storm!) Couple of things to point out to future campers. Is there some machinery and stuff on the property like said in another review, yes. Does it effect your view and experience, NO. This is a working property, not a holiday resort. All equipment is with the owners main house and nowhere near the campsites. And also, bring mozzie spray. Like anywhere near water after dark the mozzies do come out as they always do. It also shares a fence with another hipcamp property next door so there are other ppl around but I don't think it effects your stay as everyone on both sides are respectful of their surroundings. All in all I think this was a gem to discover and we will definitely be booking again. Thanks Mitch n Hollie for their lovely hospitality n opening their home to us all.

We decided to go to Christmas Creek bush retreat for our very first Caravan trip. My husband and I with our dog absolutely loved it. The sites were spacious with lots of room, not over crowded, and all sites face the beautiful Creek that is full of turtles, and has platypus (we didn't see them). We liked that it was off grid with no water or power as we wanted to try out our van to see how everything worked, and it was great. I would recommend this site if you want some peace and quiet. The whole site is so well maintained by the owners who live close by and it's an easy 40 minute drive from Beaudesert.

The site is very well maintained, very tranquil with the tree, wildlife and sound of running water through the place. Was good to do a little explore/walk of the creek and just relax under the stars. Shayne was very helpful with directions for us to get there and super accomodating. Not too long a drive out but felt like we were way out in the bush, no service and switched off for the stay. Was a lovely location with plenty of natural shade to utilise too. Will be back for sure :)

The knight Ranch is a small hobby farm with beautiful flat grassy fields, Established trees providing plenty of shade. Wildlife a plenty. With resident animals tawny frog mouth and ducks. The camp/caravan site is isolated out in the rear paddock. The most pristine area on the property. As soon as you arrive you will begin to relax. Easy access off wallace road and easy pull through to the back paddock. Open grassy field with established trees overlooking a small dam and bushland. The perfect place to set up, chuck a roast on and crack a cold one. Campfire locations set up with rocks. Sunrises through the trees over the wetland/bushes. Close proximity (driving) to the river for a spot of fishing, the bay for an early morning walk or explore with the kids and the local tavern for some adult time. A walk up Wallace road on an evening is quite nice if you are looking to stretch your legs. Glass house mountains are a 20-25min drive for some great hikes and if you make it to the top some worthy photos. Brisbane is 45min drive with no traffic. Bribie island is a 22min drive with lots of great cafes and flat walks available. IMPORTANT: The Ranch is on the corner of beachmere and Wallace road. Access is off Wallace road. After you turn onto Wallace road it’s the first right at the yellow letterbox. Pull through and down to the left. Through the gate next to the container out into the back paddock. Please keep this gate shut. There is a designated area for Hip-Camp straight and to the right near the fire pit and bucket. If you have animals please clean up after them and dogs are to be on lead if they do not recall or like to chase wildlife. As we have wonderful bird life along with lizards and chickens on the property. The fire pit has bricks around it. You can help yourself to any kindling but it’s BYO firewood. Please do not chop logs or collect logs from the property.

We will help find a site which suits your needs. We now have several secluded bush camp sites as alternatives to our more 'civilised' sites. They have no facilities apart from the site so you must be entirely self-sufficient. But all are single sites well away from others. We invite you to come and share our property, soak up the tranquility of our quiet valley and enjoy feeling at home in nature. And your dog is welcome too (under control please because we value our wildlife, and no more than 2 dogs per couple or family group)! The land is nearly 200 Ha in the western foothills of the Dividing Range, with the usually-flowing North Branch Creek being a green haven supporting lots of wildlife. It also includes the secluded back valley of Hann Creek to which you can walk, cycle or ride, with many tracks of lengths up to 3 km. The land is mostly open forest land with some cleared areas from its dairy-farming history, and many gullies with thicker vegetation. The property is mostly now dedicated to nature conservation and the recovery of its more natural state. It is a Nature Refuge under Qld legislation with special emphasis on recognising that the land is Githabul country, honouring local Githabul people now, sharing it with them and others, plus preserving species of plants and animals with known relevance to their former lifestyles. The name Nyalar Mirungan-ah means 'Old Women's Tears' in Githabul, and recognises that they cry because the land was taken from them and because it has not been looked after well by European people. We are now trying to care for it well, and to allow the original ecosystems to return, by lighter grazing, soil recovery and using traditional Aboriginal burning knowledge. And we welcome dogs as long as they don't disturb our wildlife. Shandy, our own dog, is very welcoming to guests and might drop in to your camp for a visit.
