6 sites · RVs, Tents150 acres · Aloomba, QLD
If you love fishing, campfires, birdwatching, freshwater creeks, and solitude, come and share the quietness of our 150 acre offgrid homestead and immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Tropical North Queensland surrounded by world heritage rainforest, hills, creeks, the Mulgrave River, and all the flora and fauna that abound here. Our shallow freshwater creeks are refreshing to explore and, for deep water swimming and kayaking, it's only a five minute drive to Babinda Crossing. Pamona Park, nr Gordonvale

10 sites · RVs, Tents20 acres · Aloomba, QLD
Our 20-acre exotic fruit farm backs onto World heritage rainforest and provides a relaxing base for which to explore the wet tropics south of Cairns. We have a beautiful freshwater swimming hole down the road, and also the Mulgrave River is very close if you want to do some fishing. The camping area is large, grassy and reasonably level, with space closer to the tree line, and space more out in the open. There is a firepit provided, and plenty of firewood around the place for you to help yourself to. We also welcome four-legged family members! We have had recent sightings of cassowary on our property so keep an eye out, you might just see one!We prefer self-contained campers, who have their own amenities, but we do have a toilet and shower up at the main house (about 50 metres away) you are welcome to use if needed. This is an unused bathroom downstairs so you will still have privacy. Access into the property is not suitable for large motorhomes. Entry will be too small for vehicles approx 8.5 metres long and 3.5 metres high.We grow exotic fruit on the property including limes, pomelos, mangosteens and more. When it's in season, you're welcome to sample some! Gordonvale is the nearest town, with a quiet historic charm, just 15 minutes drive away, while Cairns is around 25 minutes.

Imrie Creek Faraway Camp

1 site · RV, Tent4 acres · Lake Eacham, QLD
Beautiful Imrie Creek Camp is a secluded and well provisioned site located beside a permanent creek and surrounded by farmland and rainforest. Enjoy serenity, peace and the natural habitat as the only camper on the 4 acre property at any time (only 1 booking at once). This quality site has a new composting toilet, a great fire pit, a picnic table and chairs, a flood light, water (non-potable) and power for a van to ensure a comfortable stay. You can see in the pics, that the site is very close to beautiful Lake Eacham, a crater lake surrounded by rainforest. The lake is great for swimming, paddle boarding and canoeing and there is a very doable 3+km walk around it. It is also an 10 minute drive to the heritage village of Yungaburra where you can pop in for a great coffee, food and supplies. During the wet season, we recommend accessing the property with a 4WD as at times it can be slippery getting back up the hill. If you're seeking a 'Magic Faraway Tree’ experience, this is it. Watch closely and you may see the fairies that come out at night 🧚‍♀️🧚🏻‍♂️ and on a clear eve, the stars ⭐️ 🙂.

Cool Clean & Green in Julatten!

5 sites · RVs61 acres · Julatten, QLD
Juliet and Grant have been custodians since 2003, in that time we've built a house, raised a family and now that Alex and Hayley are both at University, life has become a little quieter, (not so sure if we like the quiet though!) Now we've only just started with Hipcamp, we do have a lot to discover, happy to listen and learn. We do offer plenty of space and you will not be crowded out as we keep numbers very limited. No facilities, no toilets, showers, electricity, rubbish bins etc. We do ask that you respect this as you must be fully self contained. We do not consider, a bucket with a lid, to be self contained ok!
