Very clean facilities with lovely hot showers. Not to crowded as lots of area to park even on the unpowered sites. Lovely bush walk on board walk aswell. Also kitchen area with 2 great BBQ to use. Love the recycled wood used for tables and chairs. A lovely family look after the park

1 night at Dooboon Cottage Glamping Retreat

Evelyn was wonderful and the cottage was so cute. We came late a night then had taken the time to light the fire pit for us and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended

We enjoyed camping at the Southern Cross Travellers Retreat, a relaxing spot with great amenities. Large open Grassy areas and the Owners help you select a suitable spot - with your choice of full sun or partially shady. There is a lovely area that has the most charming timber tables & chairs with a pool table for a bit of entertainment. The entry into the property is a bit steep but the owners were lovely enough to open the back gate on our departure. Worth visiting

Stayed 4 days and enjoyed the, well kept grass area, camp kitchen and very helpful caretaker. Tha amenities were clean and the 5 minute drive to Awoonga Dam suited us. Great spot! We will return

Had a great experience camping here! We accidently booked a non powered site (take note you can't book powered through hipcamp) but it didn't cause us much trouble. Thankful for another camper who lent us power for our blow up bed 😂 The facilities are good. Would love to see the common area bar open, with music in the evenings as its a lovely area with a good pool table! The lake is super pretty in the mornings, and the use of the firepit was great too! Thank you for a beautiful stay, we will return!

Weekend Trip to Dooboon Cottage Glamping Retreat

Easy to find. Genuine and honest place with great local history. Host was extremely helpful and bent over backwards to make our stay comfortable and her hospitality made us feel welcome and right at home. What a gorgeous cottage. Recommend 100% <3

Amazing site with great hosts! Camped with our 2 dogs and our 4 month old baby, despite a few mozzies had an amazing time.

We had four nights at this beautiful bush camp, the kids loved it here amongst the wildlife and exploring the boardwalk. Super friendly and kind hosts made us feel so welcome. Amenities were always clean and hot showers and the accessible amenities were such a bonus for our son who uses a wheelchair. He could access the boardwalk too which was a highlight. We loved having our marshmallows by the fire and always felt like we had plenty of space and privacy even though there were other campers around. A great location only 10 minutes into the beaches too. Highly recommend

Stayed for 3 nights if you could camp in daylight hrs only it's would be such a great site.The pond is swimable we floated on the pond all day. Facilities need a little TLC overall we're usable. Mozzies on the other hand were everywhere could carry you away if possible but I guess that's camping an can't be helped.Met Ian (owner ) very friendly an accommodating happy to help with anything you needed. Would stay again if the mozzies buggered off lol 😆.

Located between Rockhampton and Emu Park beach. 711 Thompson Point Road Nankin Our campsites are located in a rural setting with plenty of shady trees, friendly cows and mountain views close to the Fitzroy River. Relax around a campfire on a peaceful dam and listen to the kookaburras. Dip your toes into the cool water whilst sipping watching the sunset. It is 10km to the upgraded Fitzroy River/Thompson Point boat ramp and pontoon. Enjoy some excellent fishing and crabbing on the river, bird watching and bush walking up the many hills. Only 1/2 hr. drive to the beaches (Emu Park and Yeppoon), National Parks (Mt Etna Caves, Mt Archer Baga, Limestone Creek), and Rockhampton (Kershaw Gardens and Rockhampton Free Zoo). Campfires in the firepits provided on each site. Pre-cut fire wood for sale on site. Pets are welcome, however the must be kept within your allocated campsite area and supervised at all time. (Dogs are not allowed to chase livestock or native animals). Quiet genset are also allowed. Definitely no boats to be backed into the dam for washing purposes. Fish cleaning and boat washing facilities at the solar bore near front entrance. Telstra mobile reception. TV reception with antenna. We a setup for fully self contained camping, however there is a basic bush shower/toilet available for our campers. The dam is a pristine eco area and no soap/detergents/chemicals to used in/around it. The dam is stocked with silver perch and bass – catch and release. Camp site caters for 2 Adults and up to 4 kids per site. Come and Take-A-Break.

There is an area to launch small boats and ideal for canoeing and kayaking in protected waters. Close to Lake Awoonga (4km drive) for fishing and all other aquatic activities along with a great barramundi stocked impoundment.There is a large undercover area with tables and chairs, flushing toilets and hot showers and designated campfire area. All campers have access to this. We also offer a commercial kitchen and BBQs for group bookings. We welcome community functions, weddings, birthday parties and youth groups. Inquiries welcome.

Casuarina Park is a 640 acre working property situated 10.3km off the Bruce Highway in Central Queensland between Gladstone and Rockhampton. Camping is a self-sufficient affair with 2 long drop toilets. For small groups of campers we have available a hot shower and septic toilets.There is an abundance of wildlife to be seen as well as a 7km walking/bicycle track available to stretch out weary muscles. For fishing/crabbing enthusiasts it is a 15km 4 wheel drive access to Sandfly boat ramp for fishing and crabbing or 26km for a 2 wheel drive and larger boat to Ramsey's boat ramp located at The Narrows. Excellent fishing!Campfires are permitted with wood included (when restrictions aren't in place). Dogs allowed and must be on leash at all times.SPECIAL EVENTS: During the weekends only of QLD school holidays, we are open for motorbike trail rides. You need to have an MQ license and be part of a motorcycle club (we have our insurance with Motorcycling Queensland). If unsure please ask. This means things are a bit noisier on the weekends of school holidays. :)

Our quirky communal building has lots of power points, hot showers, flushing toilets, free Wifi, pool table, dining areas, fire place and we now have a pool-side cafe, boutique and massage on site. We are pet friendly, "ONLY ONE DOG PER SITE" and must remain on leads or runs whilst on the property. Please note that animals are not permitted in any of the undercover common areas or swimming pool enclosure. We are a short 2 minute drive to the new Agnes Central shopping center, 5 minutes to Agnes Water town centre and local beaches, and a 15 minute drive to the beautiful town of 1770. Our property runs on rain water and On-tap drinking water is available in the camp kitchen. If you are looking to escape from the crowded caravan parks, you will love our piece of paradise.
