A piece of paradise Step back in time at Forest Fields Campstay (formally Byfield Campstay) to how camping used to be. Set up your camp on a peaceful and private bush location just minutes from the Byfield National Park and State Forest. This paid campground offers toilets, bucket showers and drinking water. Yes, we’re dog friendly, we love pets but please ensure your furry friends are on lead and for the comfort of others please don’t leave your pet if you go touring ( we recommend a great boarding kennels that’s only about 20mins away)!! Fires are allowed with fire wood available for purchase (or bring your own). Generators are ok, daylight hours only. The site is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and tents. Please feel free to call us on 0407 376841. A special place for tourists and locals a like. Maximum stay two weeks - Bookings Essential Forest Fields Campstay is a quiet natural bush site, a base to relax or explore local Forests and National parks and other unique attractions. FLORA and FAUNA This area is home of the Great Imperial Fruit Dove [or Wompoo Pigeon] and the unique Byfield Fern [Bowenia Serralata]. Byfield Campstay is situated on the “migratory trail”, meaning that different birds are always passing through. A wide variety of native wild life may be seen – wallabies, bandicoots, bush turkeys and reptiles. THE FARM – “MIDDLE EARTH” Originally a citrus orchard, Beth and Chris (previous owners) decided to diversify. They planted Quandong and Byfield Pine trees for timber, and we now have many varieties of fruit trees including sapotes, sapodillas, grumachumas, jaboticabas, jackfruit, avocadoes and bananas. We also have fire pits or a few camp ovens if you would like to borrow one, just ask and we’ll deliver one to your campsite!! Generators are ok, daylight hours only. Larger caravans/ campers please use first left only Fees: $40 up to 5 people per tent/camper $20 single person Children under 3 FREE Maximum stay-two weeks PLEASE NOTE: each tent, swag, caravan or camper is considered a site (please book accordingly). We ask you to be mindful and respect our backyard and other campers as noise really travels here, so 10pm is our quiet time. Beautiful secluded rainforest retreat. Enjoyed parking up right next to the dam and watching all the bird life. How showers were an absolute bonus!

This was our third stay at Forrest Fields Camp Stay and it certainly won't be our last! We absolutely love it here. The property is so peaceful and relaxing, making it the perfect place to switch off from the busy pace of everyday life.The campsites are spacious, well maintained, and surrounded by beautiful scenery. Whether you're sitting around the campfire, enjoying the fresh air, or exploring the area, there's always a sense of calm and tranquility.We especially love being able to bring our bikes and enjoy the challenging rides around the area before returning to camp to unwind. The hosts have created a fantastic place that feels welcoming and well cared for. If you're looking for a quiet getaway where you can relax, reconnect with nature, and enjoy some quality time away from the crowds, we highly recommend Forrest Fields Camp Stay. We can't wait to come back for stay number four!

Absolutely amazing stay! The property was beautiful with perfect grassed areas that were well maintained and made the whole place feel relaxing and inviting. The amenities were clean and well looked after, which made our stay even more comfortable. The owners were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. You can really tell they care about providing a great experience for their guests. Highly recommend this Hipcamp and we will definitely be back!

We took our tent, our esky, and our literal baby to Forest Fields for Easter and it was amazing!! We were lucky enough to grab a site with a fire pit & bought firewood at the property! They also had fire pits available if your site doesn’t have one. The bucket showers were a relaxing experience and the toilets were great! The care & cleanliness that was presented & provided in the bathroom and communal kitchen area was fantastic! We had excellent weather and clear nights to star gaze and my oh my the view was beautiful! The lawns were lush and it really felt like our own piece of paradise! The hosts are inviting, welcoming and very friendly. They have done an excellent job at this site!

Yeah loved it! Great place to stay. Lovely people running the place, beautiful scenery, animals, swimming and amenities. Good for the whole family. Manicured green grass was amazing and could walk barefoot around the camp areas

An amazing place to stay. Spacious, scenic and quiet (minus the Guineafowls😂) Ample choices for campsites, clean amenities and very pet friendly. Plenty to do near by, scenic drive to Yeppoon. Hosts were very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.

A great spot to stay. Camped there in December so quite humid and warm. The campsite is very stunning with many animals! It is very well maintained and the showers and toilets are great. Would recommend bringing mozzie coils!

We recently stayed at this beautiful off-grid spot and absolutely loved it! The whole place was lush and green — a real nature escape. We parked right across from a peaceful pond, which made mornings and evenings extra special with all the calm vibes and lovely views. The facilities were simple but perfect for the setting. They had a clean toilet and the outback showers were gorgeous — rustic, refreshing, and such a treat after a day out exploring. If you’re after a peaceful, green, back-to-nature kind of stay with great scenery and just the right amount of comfort, this place is perfect! Mel and Shane are lovely. 10/10

A great property. Plenty of grassy reasonably level areas to pick from including a large area with a firepit that would be great for a group. The showers are rustic- a bucket shower but at the end of a day exploring the area it was fantastic. Peace and quiet, we were visited by the chickens and rooster, guinea fowl and bush turkeys. Definitely a camp ground we would return to.

110% recommend! The hosts were amazing and friendly and were great to chat with, the rainforest was beautiful, the facilities were very clean and tidy! The kids loved seeing the chickens and especially the rooster! We will definitely be back! 🏕️
