Our property is roughly 80 acres of secluded land situated on the outskirts of Rockhampton. Only a 5 minute drive to the Gracemere shopping centre, and less than 10 minutes to Rockhampton. We currently utilise part of the land to grow hay under irrigation, with plans for expansion in the future. Deadman's Lagoon is a large freshwater lagoon situated in the centre of the property. It is perfect for swimming, fishing, boating and kayaking. It is a permanent lagoon, however water levels are affected by the amount of local rainfall. Camp along the bank of the lagoon surrounded by shady gum trees. Bird life including pelicans, black swans, bustards, ducks and egrets are frequently spotted enjoying the water. Campfires are allowed as per local regulations. You will have plenty of privacy as there is no residence on the farm, and the neighbours are some distance away. You will notice us coming throughout the day to move the irrigator on the hay field, and often there is tractor work to be done. We ask that guests stay out of our paddocks and only drive on the road to and from the campground. We'll often drop in to camp to say hello, or stock up the firewood. Campers must be fully self-contained as no facilities or drinking water are available on the property. You are responsible for taking any and all rubbish with you when you leave. Dumping of toilets and human waste on the property is strictly prohibited. There is a free dump point located at Nuttall St in Rockhampton. We can accommodate for up to 6 caravans/campers at a time spread out over our campground area which is roughly 5 acres. You are welcome to set up wherever you like within our campground, whether it be along the bank of the lagoon or in the paddock. Please be respectful of others' space when deciding where to set up your camp. Dogs welcome, we just ask that you clean up after them so that the campsite remains clean for other campers to enjoy. Please ensure that you can secure your dogs if needed, as other campers may also have dogs.Enjoy camping on the banks and surrounding grassy paddocks of Deadman's Lagoon. There is ample bird and fish life, and the lagoon is ideal for water activities such as swimming, paddle boarding and kayaking. You are welcome to choose your own spot within the campground, but please be respectful of others' space when setting up camp. Please note that access to the campground may become difficult in wet weather. I will advise prior to your stay if the campgrounds are too wet to access and may have to cancel your booking in the event of excessive rainfall.

Best kept secret
Quiet area, beautiful lagoon, went for a swim and kayak. Didn't even feel like we were in Gracemere. Plenty of fire available. We will be back.

A beautiful spot to park up for a couple of days, so peaceful and serene. We had the entire campsite to ourselves, but plenty of room for more vans. Track in was a little soft due to a little rain.
