The hipcamp app is getting too hard to use like most web sites these days.
Beautiful property all round & nice conoe trip down the creek was a great way to be with nuture.
Hosts were fantastic we will be back next time up in Byfield.
Camped by myself for the first time. It was so relaxing and peaceful. With the private sites available, I felt like I was in my own world. The most rejuvenating time I’ve had in a long time. The trail walks are all lovey, most ranging between 5-15 minutes.
A great spot for taking family and friends also - canoeing, tennis, swimming, other ball and field games available too. Such a great atmosphere whether you want to chill with your family or friends, or just recharge in nature by yourself.

We loved our time at Ferns Hideaway! The canoes were great to explore the stunning creek, the amenities were excellent and Wayne was very helpful and informative. There was so much for the kids to do and explore! Thanks for sharing your slice of paradise with us!

We had a wonderful stay at the farm. We loved walking around the property, taking in the beautiful scenery, and enjoying the various activities on offer. The accommodation was comfortable, the atmosphere was relaxing, and the hosts were very welcoming. A great experience for the whole family, and we would happily visit again!
This venue is an absolute winner! I love that there is a main camp site for gatherings close to the amenities with a communal feel. I also love the option to have a secluded and private camp site with several options close to the lake. Access to a pool, tennis court, and other outdoor activities allows for a variety of social events. There are many walking trails well marked as well as canoeing on the lake (my favourite part). The hosts are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Going back for a second trip in just a few weeks to make the most of our colder winter weather. Perfect for peaceful nights in nature around the warmth of your own campfire.

We loved camping at Ferns Hideaway! Easy to find, great location, the canoes are superb! A good mix of secluded camp sites and ones more open and closer to amenities (which are a plenty). We will definitely be back!
Remember to bring some mozzie repellent - NOBITES worked best!

Wow! What a site! Absolutely breathtakingly beautiful! Sadly we only spent one night here as we were passing through but we've already said that we will return for an actual holiday in the near future. Lovely, friendly, helpful hosts. Very clean facilities. We couldn't fault a single thing. Thank you so much for a lovely stay.

Myself and my three boys (7, 13 and 16) stayed here just before Christmas 2025 and we all loved it. Facilities are lovely, heaps of free activities, equipment provided.
Canoeing, tennis, cricket, hiking trails and pool or a swim in the creek.
Met wayne on arrival who made us feel very welcome. The park has a great friendly atmosphere and beautiful grounds that are loving cared for.
Great spot to base yourself from and see all sights in the area or just escape.

Took our new camper trailer on its maiden voyage and what a beautiful spot to set up and relax for a few days.
Food was amazing as well as the pool and kayaking down the creek was beautiful.
Will definitely be back again
Beautiful little spot! Perfect to get away and relax, would thoroughly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay in the area. By far the best spot to camp or stay in the cabins, we absolutely loved it and it was our pick of all the camp spots in that area. Owners/managers were lovely and the restaurant was such a bonus after a big day of travel, pizza was amazing! 🤩 5 stars!

My partner and I stayed here with our 2 dogs and absolutely loved it. The hosts were amazing. Facilities were very clean and the activities available were fantastic. The canoeing on the river was a highlight, our dogs even enjoyed it. Highly recommend!

Our stay was absolutely perfect. Anna & Wayne were the best hosts. Camp grounds were lovely and clean. Facilities great.
Activities were terrific. Canoeing on the creek an absolute must so too the walks in the bush. The tranquility and beauty of the area is wonderful. Our dog enjoyed all the exploring too

IT WAS AMAZING🤩🤩!! I would definitely come back and stay for more than one night.
The pool was nice and we even took our dog out for a canoe trip in the river, there was even a one legged turkey hopping around. Wayne was a lovely host.

We enjoyed our stay at Ferns and Wayne was very accommodating host going out of his way to meet our needs. Would recommend. And would like to go back
Beautiful location , peaceful. Short walk to the creek and have sport equipment / canoe for the kids / family. Anna & Wayne were both friendly and produce delicious food from the kitchen.
Beautiful gardens and surroundings, great campsites with fire pits, toilet and shower ammenities well maintained and lovely to use. Entry and exit points well thought out with being seperate. Pool area extremely inviting would definitely return to Ferns 😊

Loved our stay. We were in camp spot 21, which was beautiful and shaded in all directions. We mate use of the pool and cl kid loved it. We cooked on the camp fire and borrowed utensils as w didn't have our own cooking stuff. Lovely place.

We had a lovely weekend at Ferns Hideaway. Amenties and the property were beautifully maintained and there was lots to keep the kids entertained. A highlight was taking the canoes out and it’s a great option to be able to grab a pizza from the restaurant over weekends. Would definitely visit again.

Anna and Wayne were very friendly and welcoming. The place was beautiful with well set out campsites. Plenty of activity's to do at no extra cost. Loved our 3 nights there wished we could have stayed longer. Will definatly be back....

We had such a lovely stay! The property was beautiful, with stunning scenery all around. The creek was a real highlight – I loved canoeing, and the kids had an absolute blast swimming. The facilities were great, and everything was clean and well-maintained. Wayne was incredibly friendly and informative, making us feel right at home. We would definitely come again – highly recommend!
