A quiet rural location on flat ground with camping within the cleared bushland setting, or open orchard. Multiple shaded areas, and plenty of open areas to recharge the solar batteries. Sealed road right up to the property. Google maps will get you there. Look for the driveway with the Thyme Travellers signs and flag. We are 10klm from the beaches of Emu Park on main highways - 14klm to Yeppoon, 30klm to Rockhampton and only 4klm to the outdoor Tree House Tavern in Cawarral where you can have lunch in the beer garden with a drink or 2. A 15 minute drive will get you to the marina where you can catch the ferry to Great Keppel Island where you swim and snorkel with the dolphins and turtles or just marvel at the abundance of fish and marine life. On our property, fire pits are provided free of charge for quiet nights under the stars. Bags of split fire wood can be purchased from the office. 3 covered camp kitchens, with free gas BBQ, are located within easy access to wherever you camp. Different varieties of chickens are located around the property, within their own yards, and hens free range after 2 pm ( our 1 remaining rooster is caged ) with gentle Clydesdale and Percheron heavy horses, Australian Lowline (miniature cows), Pygmy, and Nigerian Dwarf goats to pat. Self shedding sheep spot the property. Permanent shower block with 2 separate gas hot water showers - with further basic shower units dotted about should you not wish to walk to the central showers, but with good pressure and gas hot water. Permanent flushing toilets. Portaloos are also dotted around the property. Pet friendly, but must be on a lead due to livestock. Potable water, but no hook ups to vans due to high pressure pumps. We a still a work in progress - adding further environmentally friendly amenities, more fruit trees, purchased with the recycled bottles and cans, and a playground to come. Having only opened to the public in April 2024. NO electricity available. Office is located at the far end of the driveway into the property. Although we are only small - we are still a working farm - meaning that sometimes - we are not on call all the time. Please be patient - we will return your messages when time permits - Thankyou

A little more of a private and sheltered area - This area surrounded on 3 sides by Eucalyptus trees, and a semi permanent creek. Central to the area is a small concreted, covered BBQ area with free gas BBQ. Portaloo toilet and basic shower with instant gas hot water. Beautiful area for afternoon sunsets through the trees and abundant bird life. So named due to the Black Cockatoos that that fly over in the evenings to frequent the water troughs.

Used mainly for single vehicles that are not towing a van. Close to toilet and shower, along with the camp kitchen which contains a free gas BBQ along with pots, pans and frying pans, crockery and cutlery. Dotted around the camp kitchen are herb boxes for all to enjoy. Basil, Chives, Chilli, Garlic chives, Oregano and Mint.

Camping in between the shaded rows of Mango trees. The Southern end offers scenic views of the dam, which make for beautiful photography of an evening when the sun is setting - or simply wait for the abundance of bird life to visit the waters edge. Further towards the Northern end, whilst still nestled between the Mango trees, places visitors closer to amenities and camp kitchens.

Site 1 - Located opposite the office and camp kitchen, BEHIND THE LARGE TREE LOG ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD - this open site offers late arrivals the opportunity to set up camp in open flat ground, close to camp kitchen, toilet and shower without having to meet and greet. We will still catch up with you at some time to say hello, but not necessary should the unforseen happen and you arrive a little later than expected.

We loved everything about our stay! It was so lovely living beside the goats and the chicken, allowed to go to the beautiful horses. Michelle is so sweet. We got fresh eggs the next morning and it was really quiet. You can chose where you park and there are multiple small barbeque where you can cook with tables.

Goanna flats
What a stunning property. So peaceful. We camped amongst the mango trees with the chickens and goats. We extended our stay as we slept so well here. Nice and close to Rocky and yepoon for exploring all of the surrounds. Excellent amenities and water hookup if needed. Thank you for sharing your property with us we loved our stay.

Had a great stay at thyme travellers would highly recommend. Great hosts and set up. Lots to keep you entertained and fresh eggs in the morning. Can't beat it.

Great spot to base yourself for exploring Yeppoon and Emu Park. Lots of space, Michelle was an excellent host. Amenities good. Recommend the eggs!

We loved our 3-night stay here! The sizeable property and segregated camp areas meant we had ample space without (our loud kids) bothering other campers. The new toilet and shower blocks were clean. The hosts were welcoming and friendly. The best part? Our kids absolutely adored visiting the goats, chickens & Clydesdale horses! Highly recommend this spot for a family getaway.

Great place with good amenities and lovely hosts! We enjoyed our stay here and the kids absolutely loved the little boat sand pit and all the farm animals! We even were gifted fresh eggs for breakfast :)

Lots of room in a few different styles allows campers to be nicely spaced out. We chose a large open site surrounded by trees and with a view of the paddock. Enjoyed watching the horses. It was a pleasant place to stay and very handy to Emu Park, Yeppoon and even Rockhampton.

Great place to stay for a few days R’n’R. Excellent location close to Yeppoon, Emu Park, Keppel Sands and Rocky. Michelle was a wonderful host, very friendly. We stayed at Cockatoo corner which we found to be a bit quieter as it was a little further away from the road. Free fire pits available. Firewood dropped off at your site for $20/load. There was a very clean portaloo at the campsite as well as a camp kitchen and bins. Short walk to flushing toilets and gas hot showers. The animals here are absolutely the highlight. Roosters, chickens, goats, sheep, cows and horses. This place is awesome for kids. Safe for kids to ride their bikes around and pet the animals and explore. We look forward to returning soon ❤️

We loved our stay here at this beautiful property. We stayed un between the mango trees overlooking the pond which was so peaceful. Michelle was a great host and very helpful. This property is fantastic for kids with plenty of room for them to ride thier bikes and lots of farm animals to see.

Chooks, goats, horses and cattle. What a great place for a few days with the kids. Plenty of room and only 15 minutesfrom Yepoon. This is how caravan parks should be.

Excellent campsite. Just the facilities we needed whilst still feeling a bit wild. Camp kitchen, shower and toilets were great. We were lucky to be there on a clear night before the moon rose and the stars were incredible. Woke up to a great variety of bird song and saw the black cockatoos fly around. Topped off a great stay with some fresh eggs we purchased. Worth noting if you arrive a bit late like we did there is a campsite map opposite the office.

We stayed at Cockatoo Corner in our Jayco Swan for 3 nights. There were 5 others camper in the same area and we all had plenty of room. It was close to the horses and cattle and had a mini camp kitchen, a clean porta loo and hot shower! It was a short walk to bigger showers and toilets, office and the chooks and goats. Michelle the host was super friendly, let the kids collect the eggs, dropped off firewood and eggs we purchased to our site and answered any questions the kids had about the animals/farm. Good location, Quick drive to Emu Park or Yeppoon.

We stop here overnight and it was perfect. Great amenities, nice flat spots and easy to find. A bonus was the goats and chickens! Would highly recommend, we will return on another trip.

This was the highlight of our stay around Yeppon and Emu Park, Michelle was extremely accommodating, there is lots of space and all guest were welcoming and friendly. Michelle is always there for you, whether you need farm eggs, firewood or any help with your stay. Place have clean hot showers with plenty of water pressure, proper toilets which are new and clean. We were gonna stay one night but stay for two and we would have stayed longer if we weren’t short of time. Do not give this place a miss, price is also a great selling point! Thanks for everything!

Camped between Mango trees, very peaceful and quite. Farm animals a treat for those travelling with children. No power or water but great bush amenities. Close to Emu Park, Yeppoon and Rockhampton. Highly recommend if wanting a farm stay.

Excellent spot, lovely farmstay, lots of grassy areas with plenty of trees. Animals are great, hosts are awesome. Newly built toilets and showers available ♥️. We will return.

Thyme Travellers Farm Stay was a great place to camp for a few days. The staff were very helpful. We had originally booked 'Cockatoo Corner' but ended up staying on 'Goanna Flat' instead (it was more open and we arrived a bit late). We enjoyed a great amount of mid-morning to afternoon sun, flat ground, and proximity to portaloos and water. We used the camp's BBQs for dinner and they were quite new, clean and working excellently. The kids enjoyed seeing the goats and chickens in their pens. The nights were quite cool in July, so having fire pits and wood available was a huge bonus. It was only a short drive to Yeppoon & Emu Park (15 min), and a bit further to Capricorn Caves (45 min). Overall I highly recommend this place and can't wait to see what they do with it next :)
