Our venue and campgrounds are situated at the old Jimna State School property. The school closed in 2009 with the last students attending in 2006. It was then sold by the Qld government and has been rezoned as a Camping, Recreation and Events Venue. We have retained all the old school facilities for our campers to enjoy. There is a children’s playground and multi-purpose tennis court for everyone to enjoy. We provide tennis rackets, balls and basketballs free of charge to our campers. There is also no charge or fee to use the court. On most Sundays afternoons (weather permitting), we have social tennis where everyone is welcome to join in. The old school toilet blocks have the addition of hot showers and all toilet facilities are the flushing type. Campfires are permitted and there are small mobile fire pits provided so wherever you set up camp you can have your campfire right beside you. Note: There are no ground fires permitted and at certain times of the year Qld Rural Fire brigade may enforce a total fire ban. We have our “Caffeine Injection” kiosk on-site for the weekends and school holidays. Get your morning caffeine fix as well as bagged ice, firewood, ice creams, snacks, cold drinks etc etc Then we have the old school principals residence aka “The Bush Holiday House“. It is fully self-contained and all linen is provided. Just BYO food & drinks. We offer this for one night stays and longer. Jimna is a tiny town immersed in the Australian bush; with nearby gorges, ravines, creeks and waterfalls - some wild & spectacular places to see. Anduramba Bush Camping is located on a 300 acre property approximately 15 minutes south of Blackbutt, Qld. The campsite is on top of a hill with great views. There’s a small cabin on site, you can book the campsite either with or without this. The cabin is quite basic, it has 12v lighting with a USB port suitable for charging phones etc, and a bunk bed with mattresses (double bottom, single top), but you'll need to bring your own bedding. Big Baldy Mountain is a 40 acre hobby cattle farm with spectacular views overlooking the Mary Valley. The campground area is spread out, so you won't be surround by a crowd of people. Once parked and settled in you can go on a small hike up to the top of Big Baldy and enjoy the breathtaking view. There are no amenities here, so campers will need to be self-contained and leave no trace. Campers are welcome to have campfires. There is firewood available for $20 a day.

We are a 20 minute drive to Gympie where you can enjoy the Historical Steam Train "The Mary Valley Rattler" Pomona Distilling Co 15 minute drive. Beautiful food and an extensive array of drinks. Relaxed atmosphere, kids welcome. If you enjoy hiking you can climb Mount Cooroora in Pomona National Park. Magnificent view from the top. Campers have access to 2 flushing toilets and a hot shower ($2 per shower). Put money into container provided in shower Pets permitted but we ask you keep them on a leash or contained at campsite to protect wildlife and cattle on the property. I needed a break away from the hustle and bustle of the city and Jimna Base Camp was the absolute perfect location! Spotlessly clean amenities and plenty of room. Peace and tranquility, surrounded by trees and birds! Pete’s hospitality was 5 star, and I absolutely loved my time there! Gorgeous bush walks, swims in the creek, chats over coffee with the locals all adds to the appeal! Will definitely be back!

We had a really nice stay here. The owner is super nice, welcoming, and very helpful. The campsite is beautiful and quiet, with a lovely view. There were cows and dogs around, which added to the nice, relaxed atmosphere. A great place to enjoy nature and unwind. Would definitely recommend staying here. 🌿⭐️

It was epic ! The view from the top is breath taking , probably one of the most beautiful sunrises I’ve seen in my hole life , the night was full of shooting stars … magical place ! You will need a 4x4 to get to the top of the mountain but if you don’t have one you still can camp at the bottom witch still very nice Thanks Nathan for sharing a bit of your land Was a great experience

We had the best weekend with our 4 family groups. Amazing and relaxing view of the dam and cows. Clean shower and toilet facilities. Our kids loved the bikes supplied by host and were kept busy rowing the boat around on the dam. Hours of entertainment for them. Nice big fire pit and seating. Hosts were friendly and very welcoming. Can’t wait to go back again.

This is definitely my favourite place to camp! A beautiful, flat, large private site right on the dam with a covered deck. Perfect for a group camp. Awesome firepit to sit around and enjoy the stars. Jackie and Allen are great hosts, friendly and very helpful!

What a spot so peace and quiet at night you can hear an old train horn giving the place some character and atmosphere. The bird noises in the morning of course were magical as well as the views. Nathan was a great $20 fire wood at the gate you can pay ID so even if you forget cash you’re all sweet we’ll definitely be coming back!
