Plenty of trees to put up that hammock or grab a soak in our outdoor bath with views overlooking the wilderness. We are more expensive per person than other camp sites. Please note this includes hipcamp fees and charges and you are covered by hipcamp insurance. We don’t charge for pets, nor do we charge to use our 6 onsite canoes, nor do we charge extra for hot showers or rubbish removal, we have guest wifi. Our 1km private driveway is rough but if driven to conditions a 2wd has no issues. I have a 2wd and drive in and out multiple times per day. Most of the time space is abundant however if choosing to come on a long weekend, Easter or New Years expect it to be a lot busier than your average weekend with larger groups camping together, however still plenty of space between groups. You won’t ever have to trip over your neighbours tent ropes here. Eco friendly lakefront and near to lake front sites. Please don’t arrive expecting lakefront, our sites are all near to and Depending on group size not everyone will have lake frontage. We can never guarantee requests. We assign sites based on numbers and camping equipment. Furtherest camp spot is approximately 500m from amenities block, however porta loos are located in the remote site but it’s a walk or drive back to the showers. Welcome to 'Bares Hideaway', a 43 acre property nestled away from prying eyes in a secluded valley along the Liverpool Ranges in Grandchester. We are a short 1 hr drive from Brisbane and Toowoomba surrounded by acres of bushland. We are a 10 minute drive from Rosewood and Laidley where you will find cafes, supermarkets, fuel and a variety of other things to enjoy. Our lovely campground will accommodate swags, tents, campers, caravans and motorhomes. We provide an extensive camping ground which ensures that you will have a large amount of space to set up comfortably. Flushing toilets and hot showers are provided. We offer you the choice of a standard enclosed private shower or the fun of open air showers. We also have ice, firewood and kindling for sale. We are happy for you to come and camp on your own or book the entire place if you have an event, large groups are welcome. There is a designated area that can be hired for parties and private functions with marquees available if required. If you are looking for clothing optional camping we fully welcome this, however we need to know prior to booking clothing optional so we can check on our availability to accommodate you. We support you however we cannot always accommodate you due to other bookings. Pets are welcome and must be under control and on a leash as there are farm animals kept on this property. Camp fires are permitted in communal fire areas or at your camp in provided fire drums. There is a limited number of fire drums available, so you are welcome to bring your own. The only exception will be if a local fire ban is activated. We have firewood available for sale, or you can collect free firewood off the ground. You are also welcome to bring your own firewood. No chainsaws allowed. Please note that there is no potable water on site. You must bring your own DRINKING water. During extreme weather events the property can be affected, so if rain is forecast, please call before heading out. Things to do and see: The Grandchester hotel is a short 10min walk away and offers cold drinks, great meals and friendly country hospitality. Spicers Hidden Vale is approximately 6km away and perfect for bike riders. Rosewood train museum showcases steam locomotives and Grandchester scale model rail rides run once a month. Hunchy Hills 4WD Bush Camping

Formally a banana & pineapple plantation, Hunchy Hills is strictly 4WD only access property. We offer two types of camping; bush sites and a Camping Pod. There is a toilet and gas hot shower included. If you have a camper trailer it needs to be off-road/high clearance and you need to be experienced in towing off road. We cannot accept caravans/hybrids of any size or type. Sites 1-3 are large level pads approx. 12M by 12M, each with their own fire pit (please do not damage or move the bricks) and log seat. Site 4 is perched on the side of the hill and 6M by 6M in size. Suitable for vehicle based campers/swags/small tents with a sense of adventure and best with max 2 people. We have a backup spot too if access is too difficult. Pets (on leash) are welcome, please ensure you pick up after them. Number of guests for bookings is for total adults (16 and over). Kids (15 and under) are free and are not counted in the maximum number of guests. Firewood is sold at the check-in via an honesty box. $20 per bag (22kgs approx.) or add on to your booking for $22ea. Travel down the gravel road for about half a km and pop out through a tree tunnel to a secluded 2 acre cleared grassy paddock where the toilet & sites 1-3 are situated. Site 4 is on top of a small hill separate to the main camping area. The Pod is in its own cleared paddock, looking out to bush. Site 1 is in shade in winter and partial sun in summer. A seasonal creek runs through the property. We are located 3 minutes from Montville and 7 min to Palmwoods. There's plenty to explore in the area with short drives to the many attractions including National Parks, Glass House Mountains, the famous Rick's Garage Diner, wineries, micro breweries and more. Go fishing at Baroon Pocket Dam and have a swim at Obi Obi Creek or Kondalilla. If you're after some saltwater it's a 30 min drive to most beaches on the coast.
