Many walking trails allow for bird watchers and photographers to explore the wide diversity at Tide Water Park. I'm sorry to all, we have to reiterate this, but we have to due to some filthy campers. NO TOILET, NO ENTRY. We are disgusted to have to pick up used toilet paper. Sorry for the bluntness. A shovel does not cover as a toilet! Our place is a beautiful place and we will not allow this kind of degradation. The Beach is classified as a Green zone under Qld law which means fishing is excluded along the beach. You can fish at the creek mouth to the north. There is also creek access through the property but no camping there. A small boat can be launched and retrieved. Self sufficient camping only. No toilets, showers, dump points or power provided at this time. Horse yards are available if you wish to bring your horse for rides along the beach, obviously all at your own risk. Well behaved, quiet dogs are allowed, and must be kept within the campsite unless your walking them. Be respectful of others. Things to do here include, beach access (walks, drives), horse riding, bird watching, Fishing, Crabbing, A small wet land walk. Or just sit back and watch the beach change with the tide. Several areas available for travellers to park, which are quite secluded from one another. This 160 acre former sugarcane farm is undergoing land regeneration and repairs of the creek edges. Encouraging areas that lend themselves to water soaks. Guests are welcome to leave your camper/caravan/tent here while you explore the region, and it will be quite safe. You cannot explore or adventure on my property. People travelling with horses are welcome, the host runs a small agistment business and has some holding paddocks and watering facilities. Weekend Trip to Platypus Bush Camp

We camped on site 2/3 & 4 with a group of friends, this place is second to none. The facilities are amazing & the staff are delightful. We were travelling with dogs & the k9’s were well received. This place offers a range of accommodation from tenting/caravan sites with power if you need it , as well as Glamping/cabins./treetop accommodation. We loved this place so much that we booked another stay before we left.

We had a lovely relaxing time at Illbilbie Station, we pulled up alongside the creek with the large shady trees.....too hot for a campfire but wood from an old fallen down tree was available to use in the firepits at each campsite. Horses visited while we were sitting around relaxing. Property was easy to find.

The grounds are beautifully kept. What a bonus of toilet and shower but also set up for people with disabilities with the wheelchair ramp and shower area. The power sites and water are great for a hip camp . This place is mint and you wont be disappointed. Camp kitchen very nice. Thought it was a little pricey as compared to a caravan park powered site but our 2 night stay with no one else booked in could not have been better. Paradise......

I had a nice stay overall. The place was easy to access, quiet, and comfortable enough for a short rest. Brent was friendly and communication went smoothly. The only thing to note is that the area is close to a meat factory, so there’s sometimes a noticeable smell depending on the wind direction. Other than that, it was a good and peaceful spot to stay.
