We have a 55 acre property at the foot of the Dananbilla Range, a working farm with coloured Miniature Sheep, also pattable Galloway Cattle and calfs and Miniature and normal sized horses, donkeys, turkeys, guinea fowl, peacocks and LOTS of Miniature Goats all very friendly. Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds.
We are the largest and oldest Miniature Goat Stud in NSW.....all year round we have baby goats, turkeys, horses, cows, sheep...all hand raised and friendly. We often have babies on bottles and goats to milk and generally, the farm is a wonderful place to be for those who love animals.
The State Forest that surrounds our farm is a wonderful experience for bushwalking and the views are outstanding with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to admire. There are endless amounts of native birds, kangaroos and wallabies to view and sometimes we see a local echidna or wombat. We provide a peaceful farm with loving animals who love human attention.
Toilets and showers available. Sorry NO Dogs are permitted. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood available to purchase per night load, delivered to your site.

Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets!
There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma).Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill.
Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake!
In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town.
Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! You can have campfires in your own contained fire pits and sometimes we have complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky.
Property has a gorgeous stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table and basic camp kitchen set up for use in the shearing shed.
Please take all rubbish with you.
Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in any open paddock (granite pad sites on hill are their own sites).
Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Stunning campsite at Jarabin on the bank of the Murrumbidgee River! Peaceful, well-maintained pet-friendly sites (3) with fire pits (when permitted). We stayed 2 nights with our dog who loved exploring and paddling in the river. Nothing better than sitting quietly (with no phone reception!) watching the river change character throughout the day. Dozens of different birds and corellas use the river as a highway in the late afternoon. Bliss! As night falls, star-gazing took over - brilliant sky. And we even spotted a wombat! We ordered meat from Ben and the steak was the best we've had in long time. Clear instructions to access the property. Sad to leave but we'll be back!

My dog and I camped by the dam. It was lovely. Very peaceful and the dam was a great place to cool off. Julia is wonderful. Makes sure you’re okay with the set up but leaves you to your privacy for your stay.

Me and my partner stayed at the Campers Den sight, the views were simply breathtaking. The owner Graeme was so welcoming and took us on his zip line which was incredible, showing even more of the breathtaking land. It felt so private and secluded and was a short walk from the toilet. I definitely will come back, my favourite site so far!

Very nice spot with 3 camping areas separated by about 100 meters or so, providing a good amount of privacy.
Easy access to the river, which is nice and cold even during a heat wave! River is fast moving in some places so something to consider if swimming with kids. We were there in an off road caravan with a total length of about 12 meters with the car and plenty of room to manoeuvre.
Campfires were allowed but was a tad hot when we went. Was a nice little fire teepee set up for us ready to go, with kindling and a small supply of wood provided by the owner which was a nice gesture :-)
Overall a great stay and will definitely be back.

Amazing spot right on the Murrumbidgee River. Beautiful wide river with a flowing current, we had a dip near the edge where the water was clear and shallow. Steaks and sausages in meat pack were fantastic. Other campers nearby, but did not take away from our experience.

Ben & Joseph are fantastic hosts!!!
We chose a spot further back from other campers, (being a bigger group) and had our own private etty to enter the water.
Days were about 25-35°, and nights cooling down too below 20°. We had some strong wind storms one night, but most consisted of cool river water breezes. We witnessed one or two awesome lightning shows. Sunrises & sunsets over the river provided great shots.
The river was perfect for summer, In the thick deep of it temperature was about 12° and 17° by the warmer etty.
We purchased about $300 worth of meat for 9 blokes and it was faaaantastic! Had a few dam good dinners & lunches!
It was dry/windy as expected off Dec/Jan so we did not light more than 1 fire too cook, instead used gas. (It was common sense with the gusts of some nights)
Entering the property was easy, dont need a 4WD but if towing would recommend AWD.
All in All it was a fantasic week get away and we did in fact shed a ltittle tear leaving.
