Located approximately 40 mins from Bathurst the camp is the ideal location to enjoy the tranquility of the bush. 4WD access ONLY Suitable for off-road camper trailers, tents and swags. Natural bushland consisting of 80 acres with the Crudine River along the boundary. We are part of the Sofala gold rush history (from the 1850s), sit back and imagine gold miners and their families camped along the banks. There are two campsites, Camp Crudine Kitchen and Camp Crudine Riverside. When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Dogs are welcome but they must be supervised and under control at all times. The owner has livestock on the property which must be respected at all times.

There are also kangaroos, wallabies and echidnas who roam the area. It's a beautiful place to snap a pic especially if you catch the morning sunrises and spectacular sunsets which are guaranteed to wow you. Do as little or as much as you want to on your stay. A perfect place to just unwind and take in the fresh country air and beautiful views. Stroll around the property and visit the old barn and some of the sheds and farming equipment that are scattered among the paddocks. You will have access to composting toilets or feel free to BYO facilities. Campfires are welcome in the pits provided, permitting there are no restrictions at the time of your visit. Dogs are welcomed as long as they are supervised and kept indoors at night. Being within 20 minutes to the local town of Coolah, it's a perfect stop over for an overnight stay or for a long weekend. Valley View Farm is located in the beautiful upper Hunter Valley - home of racehorses and wineries. We are spread out over 40 acres, set in a picturesque 600-acre valley, with Mount Dangar dominating the skyline. Our property is set on top of a huge inland sandbank/cliff, with deep gorges on two sides, which gives amazing valley views. Due to these cliffs, our property is not suitable for groups with small children, and older children must be supervised at all times. The valley is service by a dirt Crown road, snaking through private land, this acts as an excellent walking track with minimal traffic, there is also exploring through the native bush up in the mountains. Plenty of wildlife abounds, including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, birdlife, and not too many snakes! The property is accessed via a 6km dirt road, off the Golden Highway, with some corrugations. We do recommend SUV or 4WD however others have accessed it via 2WD successfully. I drive my horse float up there all the time, and provided your caravan or car isn't too low clearance, it should be fine. Any concerns, please discuss with us prior to booking. When we've had heavy rain, this will hinder access for 2WD vehicles until the water drains, which it does quickly. For this reason, please keep an eye on the weather on your arrival day. We currently offer 4 camping sites - 2 in our back paddock which are 4WD accessible only, and 2 in our front paddocks, both with easy access to the flushing toilet and one with exclusive use of a large 9x9m shelter. All areas have expansive rural views. We offer a basic bush site for self-contained campers and a fully-contained caravan. At Bushman's Camp we welcome self-contained campers who bring their own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. You must have your own amenities. Campsites are accessible for 2WDs and we welcoming camping vehicles. You may need to level your vehicle for a comfortable night’s sleep. There are a few options for camping. The land is undulating with flat spots, with open grassy areas peppered with gum trees. Other parts are more heavily wooded with gums and natives. Our caravan comes complete with water, electricity, toilet, 2 double beds, dining area and kitchen. The caravan can sleep 4 guests. Next to the caravan there is room for a further tent, van, trailer or motorhome if desired, for a $35 flat fee. Please add extra guests when booking. Outside the caravan, there is a beautiful sandstone ringed fire pit, BBQ, covered picnic tables, chairs, lighting and some firewood available. You will need to bring your own bed linen and towels. In the early 1970’s Mr James, the owner of 'Biara', subdivided three 25 acre blocks across the road from the original homestead. The first block was sold to his nephew, the middle block was to be purchased by the Preston family and ‘The Gateway’ was purchased by a Mr Carveth. Unfortunately, the sale of the middle block fell through then, due to family illness, 'Biara' was sold and the family moved to Blackheath. After this move, and as thank you to his son, Mr James transferred the title of the middle of the three subdivided blocks to his only son, William. Back in the late 1960’s, early 1970’s, the area was vastly different than it is today. Travelling to school entailed a car trip to Hargraves then bus to Mudgee which would have been a 2 hour round trip! The area was far more isolated as there was no power and entailed an overland phone line, which had to be regularly repaired if residents wanted to be able to communicate with the outside world. The site allows mainly for camping and relaxing although there are numerous dirt roads to explore, Mudgee wineries close by and Burrendong Dam not far away (accessible via Hill End Road near Erudgere). Hargraves is also known for it's alluvial gold deposits and fossickers still go there regularly to check out Louisa Creek. There is 15km's of dirt road which needs to be traveled to reach the property. Dependent on weather, and if it has been graded recently, this road can be in varying states of repair. In heavy rain it may be difficult to get 2WD access via the public road due to the clay content in the road . Kangaroo, wallaby, owl species, kookaburra, echidna, snakes, various lizards, including shinglebacks, are often seen on these roads and the property.

When you make your booking whether for 2 people or a group of family and friends the chosen campsite is all yours for the length of your stay. If you need supplies Sofala is just 8 km away, drop in and explore the town. Hill End is 28 km which is another Historic town to explore. Camp Crudine is great for kids and adults alike to have a go at panning for gold or try out the metal detector. All findings must be returned to the host, lol. Campfires must comply with the local fire restrictions and guideline and must be contained in the fire pits provided. Bonfires are not permitted at any time. We recommend campers bring their own firewood as campers are requested to source only small amounts of firewood along the riverbank. Under no circumstances are trees to be cut down. Firewood is available at the Sofala General Store. Campers are required to bring everything they need and take all rubbish when leaving. Valley View Farm is located in the beautiful upper Hunter Valley - home of racehorses and wineries. We are spread out over 40 acres, set in a picturesque 600-acre valley, with Mount Dangar dominating the skyline. Our property is set on top of a huge inland sandbank/cliff, with deep gorges on two sides, which gives amazing valley views. Due to these cliffs, our property is not suitable for groups with small children, and older children must be supervised at all times. The valley is service by a dirt Crown road, snaking through private land, this acts as an excellent walking track with minimal traffic, there is also exploring through the native bush up in the mountains. Plenty of wildlife abounds, including kangaroos, wombats, lizards, birdlife, and not too many snakes! The property is accessed via a 6km dirt road, off the Golden Highway, with some corrugations. We do recommend SUV or 4WD however others have accessed it via 2WD successfully. I drive my horse float up there all the time, and provided your caravan or car isn't too low clearance, it should be fine. Any concerns, please discuss with us prior to booking. When we've had heavy rain, this will hinder access for 2WD vehicles until the water drains, which it does quickly. For this reason, please keep an eye on the weather on your arrival day. We currently offer 4 camping sites - 2 in our back paddock which are 4WD accessible only, and 2 in our front paddocks, both with easy access to the flushing toilet and one with exclusive use of a large 9x9m shelter. In the early 1970’s Mr James, the owner of 'Biara', subdivided three 25 acre blocks across the road from the original homestead. The first block was sold to his nephew, the middle block was to be purchased by the Preston family and ‘The Gateway’ was purchased by a Mr Carveth. Unfortunately, the sale of the middle block fell through then, due to family illness, 'Biara' was sold and the family moved to Blackheath. After this move, and as thank you to his son, Mr James transferred the title of the middle of the three subdivided blocks to his only son, William. Back in the late 1960’s, early 1970’s, the area was vastly different than it is today. Travelling to school entailed a car trip to Hargraves then bus to Mudgee which would have been a 2 hour round trip! The area was far more isolated as there was no power and entailed an overland phone line, which had to be regularly repaired if residents wanted to be able to communicate with the outside world. The site allows mainly for camping and relaxing although there are numerous dirt roads to explore, Mudgee wineries close by and Burrendong Dam not far away (accessible via Hill End Road near Erudgere). Hargraves is also known for it's alluvial gold deposits and fossickers still go there regularly to check out Louisa Creek. There is 15km's of dirt road which needs to be traveled to reach the property. Dependent on weather, and if it has been graded recently, this road can be in varying states of repair. In heavy rain it may be difficult to get 2WD access via the public road due to the clay content in the road . Kangaroo, wallaby, owl species, kookaburra, echidna, snakes, various lizards, including shinglebacks, are often seen on these roads and the property.

Stuart Town was originally named Ironbark in relation to Banjo Patterson’s, The Man from Ironbark. Fairview Farm sits on 20 Acres in Stuart Town and provides beautiful sunsets and sunrises. Nearby is Burrendong Dam / Mookerawa Waters for fishing, boating, paddling and swimming. We are also surrounded by rolling hills. It's a very peaceful, tranquil setting. Lots of birdlife, grass parrots, king parrots, blue wrens, willie wagtails, and eastern rosellas just to mention a few. We have a collection of farm animals, sheep, alpacas, goats, chickens and two resident Boredoodles. Feeding of animals is allowed as well, for the enjoyment of kids. Walking and bike riding (pushbikes only) within the farm is allowed. There is a local Pub in town a short drive or bike ride, they serve pizzas every day and meals on specific day/nights will need to check! We operate a farm in the Mudgee area, and we're about 20 mins from the township of Gulgong where you can pick up supplies. If you're up for a hike or an adventure, we are located close to Goulburn River National Park and Lees Pinch lookout, which has a walking track offering spectacular views across the south and east of the National Park, and is perfect for birdwatching. Enjoy a campfire dinner or simply relax around the crackling campfire in the evenings. There is plenty of timber lying around so help yourself. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. Your pooch is most welcome to join you but must be on a lead at all times as we have a lot of farm animals. You are welcome to take your kids for a close up greet and meet with the animals over the fence. This is a family friendly campsite, please no shooting, dirt-bike riding or 4WDing on the property. Unfortunately due to fires in the area we were unable to camp, we were really looking forward to the stay. The host had impeccable communication, messaging us the day prior to our stay letting us know about the fires near buy and offered a refund. We initially chose to stay away, then changed our mind the day of our stay and we were still giving a refund. Very kind when really they didn't have too.

Nice quiet spot to park up and relax with nobody but the sheep, roos and birds. Graham was very welcoming, even gave us some delicious farm fresh eggs. He is super responsive and met us on the main road to guide us in and went out of his way to make sure there was no low hanging branches for our caravan. Highly recommend a stay here. Definitely would recommend staying at Grahams land, he offered different options for us to camp and showed us around. He met us at the turn off the main road and allowed us to follow him to the land making it super easy for us! Graham was super quick to reply!
