The Wollemi Art Farm is a 100 acre block surround by national park - so your only neighbours are trees and animals. We are only 2 kilometres from the stunning Dunns Swamp. We have several camping areas, which range from intimate to spacious, and can host up to 190 people - if you want to book out the whole place (weddings, parties, small festivals)! Facilities include toilets, water and shelter. It's called 'The Wollemi Art Farm' because not only do we do arty things there (like quests and Shakespeare nights), in time we shall fill the place with mysterious and beautiful works of art - constructed from the rocks and wood of the landscape itself. We have our own trails and views (see below). As mentioned, we run quest adventures (think: clues, a map, exploring, competing against other teams for glory) - get in touch if you would like to know when the next one is, or if you would like your own private quest. I've included some quest material in the photos (more on our Instagram and Youtube). There is an additonal fee for questing. Walks: -Look out for the twin cairns on the north side of the public road, about 100m before you get to the main camping area. Follow the trail to the Summit. -You can also follow the private road up the hill past the main house (turn right off the public road as if you are going to the Spring campsite, then walk past the 'no tresspassing sign' - you are not tresspassing if you are a guest!). Follow this road for a few hundred metres until you see the rocky outcrop towards your right (the 'Souther Heights'). A sign points the way to a cleft that you can ascend. Two cairns mark this spot. Follow the rocky ridge up for several hundred metres. It's a fine adventure. Runs. I'm a keen distance runner. I have a range of runs mapped out. These include a 10km loop, longer runs up to 20kms, various reps, and more. The WAF is perfect for your running group getaway.

Suitable for all size vehicles/vans/tents. We have great loos, voted as "the best in Australia" however, we do not have showers or powered sites. Many sites available, avoid the crowds, we do not over crowd our campers. Only 25 mins easy drive to all the wonderful Mudgee wineries, cafes and restaurants. It's the perfect place to unwind and recharge the batteries. Give the kids a screen free holiday! Dogs are welcome as long as they on leads at all times except in the off leash paddock.

We have wide gate access to suit all vehicles/trailers of any size to go in and out and all sites are grassy and level. Great spot to relax, chill and take in the amazing country air and surroundings, relax by a fire, cook marshmallows or a camp oven feast. Walk down to the edge of this campsite and listen to the creek trickle past, go bushwalking, listen to the birds and watch the Kangaroos. Unfortunately due to fires in the area we were unable to camp, we were really looking forward to the stay. The host had impeccable communication, messaging us the day prior to our stay letting us know about the fires near buy and offered a refund. We initially chose to stay away, then changed our mind the day of our stay and we were still giving a refund. Very kind when really they didn't have too.

Great location for a pitstop for our trip to Mudgee and beyond from Newcastle. Camped near the creek and would definately recommend a weekend or so stay. We met out host M'Liss and she was great. She gave us some recommendations to explore locally. We had the campsite to ourselves cooking over the fire.

We had the whole Beelisco campsite to ourselves, and it was pure bliss. The place is incredibly peaceful, surrounded by nature with the most beautiful creek just a short walk away. It felt private and untouched — the ideal spot to unwind and reconnect with the outdoors. Everything was well-kept, and you can really feel the care that’s gone into maintaining the land. Can’t recommend it enough for anyone looking for a quiet, serene escape. We’ll definitely be back! 💚

Weekend Trip to Beelisco Honey Hipcamp

We stopped in for just one night at Beelisco and wished we had the time to stay longer. We stayed at the creekside site and had the whole place to ourselves. The site was huge and well maintained, with a new and clean compost toilet (which my partner said smelled like honey). The creek was stunning, unfortunately didn’t see any wildlife but saw what we believed to be kangaroo prints on the sand of the creek, so sat patiently waiting to see if any came back. Would absolutely stay again. And will be recommending this to anyone I know who is staying in the area.

We stayed at site 8. The boat was great - called ahead of time and met us at the gate to show us to the camp site, very friendly bloke. Camp site was very private, we stayed on the October long weekend and didn't see anyone else (can sort of see the neighbours, but +200m away through trees). Site was quite large and next to the creek. Creek was flowing, deep enough for a quick dip but not to deep enough to swim in. You will want a 4WD/SUV to get to the site.

Great bush camp. We camped on the bush block away from the glamping. There were people there, but we couldn't see or hear then at all. Wonderfully quiet and remote. Its a bit hard to access the dam, make sure you ask Vicky how. Lovely people and a great spot for a couple of nights exploring the region. Thanks guys and best of luck for the future.

1 night at The Old Widden Schoolhouse

Fantastic quiet night. Great instructions. Perfect fireplace, and benefit of having 240v and a roof when a wild storm came through was appreciated. There is a pump or genset on across st the farms all night. Apart from that, no noise! Occasional horsey whinny and a few night birds. We spotlighted microbats. Saw lots of wombat evidence but no Wally. Nice chilly, start to the say, with a hill to the West. Drove further up the valley to walk over Reuben’s trail to Baerami: no go, it means we’d have to access via private property and neighbours at Baramul suggested kindly ‘it might not be wise’.. Thanks Clare we loved the schoolhouse. Esp the monkey bars!

Old Barra was great. Huge sites, quiet with rolling green areas and waterways. Check out the ‘Picnic Table’ an easy 4WD track to the top of the hills. Wonderful place for cheese and wine as the sunsets across the hills. Loved our stay. It’s going to be our regular escape.
