Weekend Trip to Canoelands Orchard Camping

We had such a great Easter! Huge camp sites, fruit picking, tractor rides, animal feeding. 20min drive to wisemans ferry for some swimming, and 10min drive to "Australia's best pie" (confirmed)! We have camped here twice now, and will defintely be back!

Overall, it was a great experience for us as newbies to camping. BYO toilet and shower would be ideal as it’s a bit of a walk. Our 2 year old son enjoyed the tractor ride and kept asking for more. Animal feeding was also his favourite. There’s so much to do but still quiet and peaceful at night.

We loved our Easter stay at Canoelands Orchards. The sites are large and well maintained (grass), with a firepit on each site. Firewood can be purchased and delivered to site. There’s a cafe and farm shop onsite open daily. Plus daily fruit picking and animal feeding, there was also tractor rides when we were there! Kids had a ball!! No electricity or water on site. Amenities are basic but clean. The owners are wonderful, kind and responsive. They even fixed my son’s bike when he had a fall, and bought us an ice pack to camp! The sunsets and sunrises amongst the vines were amazing, a great long weekend off grid in nature. Close to wisemans ferry for shops, pub and fishing! Highly recommend, we will be back.

We stayed at Site 6 in the Orchard Campground for 3 nights over the Easter break and had an amazing time! The campsite was spacious with very large plots, giving us plenty of room to set up our gear and still have space to relax and explore. One of the highlights was having the on-site café—perfect for that much-needed morning coffee before starting the day. Our 6-year-old absolutely loved feeding the farm animals and riding in the tractors around the property. There was always something to keep her entertained! The campground has clean toilets and showers, which made the stay really comfortable. And at night, the sky is something else—you can see a blanket of stars and even spot satellites drifting across the sky. It was a peaceful and memorable experience. Being located at Canoelands Orchard, there’s also the chance to pick fresh seasonal fruit, enjoy delicious house-made jams and relishes, and even grab a cider or fresh juice from the farm shop. The friendly staff made us feel welcome, and the relaxed farm atmosphere was a great escape from the city. Highly recommend this spot for families or anyone wanting to unwind in a beautiful, rural setting!

We had a wonderful stay at Canoelands Orchard! Beautiful farm with opportunities to feed animals, pick and abundance of fruit and explore the land. We stayed at site 4, which was under powerlines but that didn’t bother us. It was quiet and secluded away from other sites. Amenities are an easy 5 minute walk away. Highly recommend staying at Canoelands Orchard!

We loved our stay at Canoelands Orchard. Site 3 was huge (even with our big caravan), shady and private. It was lovely being able to pick and consume some fruit while we were there. The kids loved the animals and it was handy having a cafe on site for morning coffee!

Great place! Fruit picking, farm animals, plenty to explore - perfect for enjoying with little ones. Close to wiseman’s ferry so a close little can be done. The hosts are super responsive and kind. There is no shade though on the site and must be factored.

The site next to the dam was lovely! It had a view of the peach orchard and the dam with Lillypads flowering and turtles. It was private with a big fireplace and we got in fine in our van. Would definitely recommend staying here! Thank you Jaime

Spacious camping area. Family friendly, especially with young children. We did some fruit picking at the orchard, fed the animals and took the tractor ride. Great a weekend trip.

I highly recommend Canoelands Orchard. We had a lovely stay there with another family and some friends. Site 1 is very spacious and provides good privacy. Being able to pick fruits and consume them during a stay is such a unique experience. The kids enjoyed the tractor ride and animal feeding and couldn’t stop talking about it after we got home. The owner Jaime is very nice and same for all the staff on site. We had a great time there and will definitely come back.

Had an amazing time camping at Canoelands! The place is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained—perfect for a weekend escape into nature. Host Jaime was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. One of the highlights was the animal feeding—great fun for both kids and adults. We also got to do some fruit picking, which was a lovely touch and made us feel more connected to the land. Whether you’re after a quiet stay or something more hands-on, this spot has a bit of everything. Highly recommend!

stayed at site 2 for two nights. beautiful spot nice flat green grassy camp sites very handy to have the cafe for an easy breakfast lots to do during the day around the orchard owners and their dogs are lovely! and very accommodating

Campsite 4 had beautiful views of the valley! I really enjoyed my stay at Canoeland Orchard and the hosts are lovely and accomodating. The toilet is a bit far from the site if you walk but a short drive away. In the morning you might be woken up by the roosters 🐔

Great hosts. Lovely, quiet spot not far from Sydney but feels like you’re well and truly away from the daily grind. The friendly dogs made our weekend as did Steve the highland bull. Will be back.

The host really saved my camping trip. I had forgotten sleeping bags and pillows but he graciously saved my night with my two girls and lent me some kit. We were able to survive the cold night after a nice roaring fire and smores. Thanks again Robert!

I love tent camping.. I booked site 4. it is wonderful the valley view is beautiful. No need to ask anyone where is our site it’s very clearly showed there.. 2 friendly dogs they just came to visit us 😊.. highly maintained sites.. Breakfast and cafe were great too.. responsive hosts . Highly recommended..

We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.
