Sites are large with varying distance between each to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. IMPORTANT: Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, with conditions, and a $20 fee applies. Please check with Hosts before booking. Once approved, please add the Pets Extra when booking. (Saturday night 2-night minimum) There is no mobile reception or internet access, therefore, providing a true off-grid retreat. Self-sufficient campers are preferred. Our property is situated in the locality of Rosebrook, a fertile area steeped in a rich dairying history. We're only 10 minutes from Maitland and 25 minutes from the Vineyards, but the privacy of the camp site makes it feel like you're miles from anywhere. You've got direct access to the Hunter River with a sandy beach, great swimming holes and it's perfect for a peaceful kayak up or down stream, dependent on river levels at the time of your stay. Bring your own kayak or use ours for a small fee. For those a bit more adventurous, we take you via road to our drop off point and you paddle downstream (a leisurely 3 hours) until you arrive at the beach near your campsite. There are heaps of places to stop and have some lunch and a swim on the way. The site is a drive through level, grassy area and easily accessed by 2WD vehicle if you're not towing. For caravans and camper trailers, a 4WD is recommended but it's pretty easy going. Pets are welcome, but MUST stay within the site paddock if not on a lead. Our neighbours have stock and it's important we are always respectful toward them. A garbage bin and recycle bin is provided but you will need your own toilet. There is a designated area for a fire (when conditions permit) and we can supply firewood if required for a small fee. We’ve kept things simple and natural because that’s the way we like it. It’s a true bush camp — plenty of space, plenty of privacy, and no fuss. We just ask that everyone who stays treats the place with respect and leaves it as they found it, so the next campers can enjoy it too. Whether you’re here for a quiet weekend, a bit of fishing, or just to switch off from the world for a while, this is the place to do it. Beautiful secluded spot, was perfect for our large group as we had it all to ourselves. We particularly enjoyed using the kayaks, canoes and surfboards on the river next to the campsite. Lots of thoughtfulness put into the hand painted signage- felt very personalised. Thank you!

We had a great time at this site. The highlight was wading upstream and swimming in the river - clean water and a lovely way to spend the day. The toilets were clean and well maintained. Yara was friendly and welcoming and checked in on us to see we had everything we needed, including bringing us a grate for the fire drum so we could cook over the flames. Thanks for a great weekend!

Peaceful and well maintained. As mentioned in the description there is little shade available. Nesting ducks on the creek and ducking's swimming around. Private road on the way is a little rough, but nothing a standard AWD or 4WD can't handle and it's only 500m or so.

We had a great time camping over the weekend. Site 1 had excellent views, fire pit provided, and toilet nearby. We really enjoyed our stay. Debbie was a great host and communicated clearly.
