Backing onto McPhersons forest, our campsites are ideally located within a short treck or bike ride into the forest.
The property is conveniently located 1 hour from Sydney and just a 2 minute drive to groceries, food and a pharmacy and 7 minutes from the pub and a doctor.
A 30 minutes form town and close to attractions such as Glenworth Valley and Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. Also Markets every 2nd and 4th Weekend.
The site currently does not have toilets or electrical facilities, but something we are working on. So please bring your own toilet and take with you.

Update: access road is now sealed. Melon Green welcomes self contained caravans and /or motorhomes. Lovely grassy farm on a 15 acre block. A quick 15 minute drive into Picton where you can find our local club and shops. Short drive to Nattai lookout overlooking Warragamba water catchment. Spectacular view. Also Thirlmere Lakes. Nearby Camden township restaurants, cafes, pool, bike track along Nepean River and more.
We are located approximately 1 hour from Sydney airport so a day in the city is not out of the question. Shopping malls a short distance away.
We have 4 horses, two dams, nice outlook, Clean tank water is available and picnic table can be provided. Please note we can no longer offer bathroom facilities. Also grey water is not allowed to be emptied on the property.
As we have horses, dogs must be on a leash.
Campfires are welcome in the fire pit.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay! The hosts were very friendly and helpful. The campsite itself felt very private with plenty of space to spread out and relax. During the day, we were treated to a beautiful view of the valley, and at night, the view of the stars was simply amazing. It was an absolute pleasure to unwind and enjoy the peaceful sights and sounds of nature. We already look forward to returning again one day!

Truly excellent sites at Banjos. Joanne was most accommodating when we arrived offering to show us the property to see where best suited us whilst not hindering the others there. Access is slightly rutted but our 21ft road caravan made it into the first area with no issues just take your time :)
Landscape views were amazing and there was so much space and privacy which was perfect.
Definitely recommend this camp to those who are self contained and who want some space for themselves. 10/10. Thanks Jo!

We loved the serenity of Banjo's Retreat!
Plenty of space, the campground was really well maintained. Although we shared the paddock we were on with another camper, it was still a private feel.
Joanne and Barry were great hosts and made sure that we knew if we needed anything they were more than happy to help.
We highly recommend!

We had a really great stay here. The place was clean, well organised and very peaceful. Our powered site had plenty of space and everything worked perfectly.
The facilities were good and easy to use, and we really liked how close it is to the beach and lighthouse. It’s a beautiful area with amazing views.
It was also very easy to check in and everything was clear. Overall, it felt very relaxing and safe.
We would definitely come back and recommend it to others

Great location, nice facilities and beautiful spot on the water. The owners really took time and effort to plan around Easter and having an egg hunt, and the easter bunny come visit. I also loved that the seafood truck and ice cream truck drove around the campsite. We were at the end of the site and after the rain it was quite muddy so just be aware if you are on a further site towards the water.

Banjo’s Retreat was an absolute gem. Jo and Barry were such wonderful hosts — incredibly friendly, thoughtful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. You can really tell they care about creating a special experience for their guests.
The campsite itself was unbelievably peaceful. It had such a sense of serenity, overlooking the paddock and dam with the beautiful Watagan Mountains in the background. Waking up and winding down to the sound of bellbirds and other native birdlife, with a fresh breeze drifting through, was just magic.
There are so many lovely bushwalks nearby, and after a day of exploring, it was so relaxing to sit by the campfire in the evening and soak it all in. One of the loveliest touches was watching the cows slowly wander past to say hello — it really added to the charm of the whole stay.
Access was also excellent. We had no trouble getting in and out with our 4WD and off-road 19.61’ off-grid caravan, even in the rain, which was a huge plus.
A beautiful, restful spot to switch off and reconnect with nature. We would happily stay again and highly recommend Banjo’s Retreat to anyone looking for peace, scenery and genuinely lovely hosts.

Nice quiet spot to relax, we camped around the dam the ground not perfectly flat but didnt cause us any problem, we had 2 x vans access not a problem. Would stay there again.

Such a beautiful quiet place to camp with my partner and dog. The view is spectacular and ever changing with the clouds.
Ground has a slope and only a few small level areas but don’t let that stop you in a tent or swag. I’ll definitely be back soon!
