The creek is not only home to endangered frog species and other wildlife, but it also plays a vital role in irrigating the local stone fruit and apple orchard. To protect both the ecosystem and the food supply, it is essential that no pollutants enter the water.
Campers are welcome to enjoy a fire in the designated fire pit when local regulations permit- perfect for gathering under the stars.

The Freedom Farm has been in our family for nearly 50 years and we know it has a much longer history as a place of gathering, healing, learning and celebration. The spirits are strong here. We have been working the last few years on Rewilding the land and it is the healthiest it has been in my lifetime. Encompassing salt marsh, casuarina forests, open grassland and gumtree groves there is an incredible diversity of species to be found on this relatively small property. Bordered by Mangrove Creek it is protected on all sides by sandstone mountains yet remains sunny and open. A lush and powerful place.

Beautiful and peaceful spot for camping in the Cobbers Rest camp site. Even after rain the area was still usable.
Only note is yes you can hear a bit of the highway given the close proximity to it, but didn't ruin our stay at all.

We stayed at site 2 for a few days and loved it. Skye is a very friendly host and we were lucky enough to have the whole place to ourselves. Great campsites, spaced apart and two drop toilets to share was ideal. Kids loved seeing the cows and horses. Only a short 5 min drive down to the bridge for a swim in the river. Highly recommended, we will definitely be back for another stay in the future.

Loved the Camping at Pear Tree Farm. The spot was secluded, clean and calming. Great fire pit and beautiful outlook onto a small dam. Not many flies or ants. Lots of wood to collect for your fire. Would 100% reccomend to anyone trying to get away from the chaos and indulge in a little nature. Thank you for having us.
