Bimbimbi is located at the free flowing, clear beginning of the Murray River, at Tintaldra. We have 5 separate sites. Each site is for a single group, so you know you will only have yourselves in close proximity. Each site has access to the river, although The Fishing Hole, River Red Gums and The Big Bend have better access than The Willows and The Old Pump Hole. Swimming, fishing for Murray Cod, hiking along the river bank (we have 3km of frontage), bird watching, relaxing are typical things to do here. Or, if you are more adventurous, borrow our canoes and do a down river trip, or go for a longer hike up Pine Mountain in the Pine Mountain National Park. Or, bring your mountain or road bikes and do some cycling on the picturesque roads and trails. The campsites are well spaced out, with a minimum of 200 metres between the nearest two locations. In fact, it either impossible or very difficult to see anyone else at the other camp sites from your own camp site. Each camp site is accessible via its own track, so you won't have other vehicles driving past your camp site. We have a Leave No Trace policy, please take all rubbish with you. (This also means not throwing bottles, cans, bottle tops, aluminium foil and other non-biodegradable items into the camp fire.) Dogs are allowed, but please keep them under control, particularly if near cattle. Campfires are allowed only in braziers provided, when fire bans are not in place. You can gather your own firewood or purchase firewood from us (see "Extras"). Please arrive before dark if you haven't been here before. It is difficult to understand a new camp site in the dark. We provide a toilet at each location, for your convenience and the cleanliness of the camp site in general. Nothing but your human deposit and toilet paper in the toilet please. No disposable wipes, nappies etc. Please put these in your trash. Also, bring your drone but use it only over locations that are not occupied. We have canoes to borrow, seasonal produce is available from the garden and our own beef and local lamb is also now available. And, again, wood for purchase if you don't want to gather your own. T.J Wilson We have 3 remote sites and 3 dispersed sites and the property is six kilometers from Dalgety township which is situated on the “Snowy River” NSW. We are located 30 minutes drive south east of Jindabyne and 40 minutes drive south west of Cooma. There is a flush toilet and fresh drinking water is available at our dispersed sites. Caravans can easily be filled up via garden hose and if you are staying on one of the remote sites this can be done easily prior to settling in. We have a mowed loop track giving easy access from each site to stroll to the top of the hill, walk the dog or enjoy the 360 degree views. Take a picnic in the evening or just a glass of wine and watch the sunset from the top of the hill. After dark, relax and toast some marshmallows over the fire pit and discuss what you are going to do the next day. The land was originally once a part of "Marranumbla Homestead". I have called it home since 1995 and now share it with my partner Phillip, our son, Danish the Whippet, Murphy the Malshi, Myonie the Moodle and Finley the cat. The house yard only had 2 trees when I bought it and the house built originally in 1980 still needed completing on the inside. I have worked hard to create an extensive garden in a sometimes harsh environment. It's our peaceful part of the "Snowy Monaro", the property being 155 acres in total. A great place to wander and breath in the fresh air. In Dalgety township you can have a meal and catch up with a local at the "Buckley's Crossing Hotel" or take a walk around the show ground, town and along the river reserve where you can have a swim and relax on the riverbank and view the historic Dalgety Bridge circa 1888 across the Snowy River. Then come back in the evening to look for platypus when they come out to play. Visit the local 'Snowy Vineyard and Microbrewery' incorporating the 'Dalgety Brewing Company' situated approximately 10km north of the town on the Snowy River or have lunch at 'Tuscany in Dalgety' 2km to the west of town. Take a trip to Jindabyne which is half an hours drive to the west, walk round the lake, visit the 'Jindabyne Brewery', great food, beer, cider and wine or the many other restaurants and cafes in town. Spend some time at the 'Snowy Region Visitor Centre' and the 'Gaden Trout Hatchery' or catch your own trout in the lake or at the 'Eucumbene Trout Farm'. Travel beyond into the mountains and Kosciusko National Park to Thredbo, Perisher Valley and Charlottes Pass. Explore the many walks in the national park including the walk to the top of Mt Kosciusko. Visit the 'Wild Brumby Distillery' enjoy some European fare and locally crafted Schnapps, Gin, Vodka or Gluhwein. Take a day trip through Adaminaby to 'Yarrangobilly Caves and Thermal Pool' in the northern end of Kosciusko National Park, picnic, swim and tour the caves. Visit the "Snowy Hydro Discovery Centre and Café in Cooma and learn the history of the scheme. The Centre houses a comprehensive exhibition hall including an extensive photographic collection, models, hands-on exhibits and a one of a kind immersive theatre. You will find information about the Scheme such as engineering, the environment, the National Electricity Market, history, water management and power generation. Make it your base camp while enjoying all that the winter season has to offer and lets not forget the skiing and snow boarding of course. Well that's just a sample of some of the things you can do but if all that sounds like too much, just put your feet up and have a rest at your campsite!! P.S. The annual Dalgety Show is held on the first Sunday in March every year and did you know that Dalgety was one of the sites considered for our country's capital. Kosciousko National Park is located to the West with several access points. Sitting at an elevation of 1270m above sea level it gets blanketed in snow in winter and beautiful sun in summer.

We have a national park on one side of us, and the Cudgewa Creek flowing along our front boundary. The property is perfect for mountain biking, bushwalking, fishing or just plain relaxing. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee, just message us in advance, or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. There’s also no power hookups, taps or toilets so it's fully self-sufficient camping. For the peace of other campers, we don't allow generators or pets, sorry. Endor Nature Camp is located in the picturesque town of Batlow, offering unique off-grid nature camping experiences. Located on the Batlow to Tumbarumba road at Deep Gully Bend (The Old Mill) site entrance. Endor is only 2km from the village of Batlow, nestled into steep hillside and surrounded by Alpine woodland. Endor is home to a large variation of wildlife including the endangered Greater Glider and other Squirrel Glider species. Wombats roam at night along with kangaroo, wallaby and deer migrating when in season. Powerful Owls, Gang Gang and many species from the parrot family are a spectacular sight along with morning and Twighlight Finch performances. Endor is a primitive camp site with cabin style accommodation. There are two bunkers which are set 25m apart and each bunker can accommodate 2 people Max. Basic single bed set up with basic linen however it is required that you bring your own temperature rated sleeping bag for seasonal Camps in winter and shoulder periods. The weather can change very quickly, and temperatures can drop to below zero with snow in Winter. Campfires are allowed during the winter season and each bunker has a fire pit. Our aim is to provide a comfortable bed in an alpine off grid setting for those who seek an experience in nature. Located on Batlow Road you will experience some road traffic noise and log truck activity during peak hours in the morning and afternoon. A small reminder that you are still close to civilization.

We are only 10 minutes from Lake Jindabyne – turn left to head up to the mountains (a further 30 minutes to Thredbo or Perisher) or right to explore Jindabyne township and its boutiques, breweries, cafes and cinema. Stop in at The Station Resort on the way back from the mountains, just five minutes away for a nice feed and game of pool (during winter). Our property is on a hill with a dam midway up if you’re looking for a nice walk. Do a loop for spectacular views! Come and enjoy the beautiful outlook and natural wildlife. Rest in peace and privacy or get out to enjoy all the Snowy Mountains has to offer. Whether you come for snow sports, water sports, biking, hiking, yoga or reading – adventure and relaxation awaits. Access to all sites is via a tree-lined driveway. To get to the western paddock and Sunset, Pine View and Hilltop sites, the turn off the drive to get through the fence means that small to medium setups are suitable. To get to the eastern paddock and Sunrise and Birch Grove sites, the turn off the driveway is a bit wider to allow for larger setups. Please check the details for size recommendations – the maximum sizes listed are for your total setup, including your car and anything towed. The sites at the bottom of the property closest to the road have easy access and more protection in windy weather, but if you have a 4WD and are wanting to sit and enjoy the 360 degree rural views then head up the hill to our Hilltop site. We can supply firewood, kindling and fire starters for a small fee, just message us in advance, or you can BYO. Strictly no foraging for wood from the property please. There’s also no power hookups, taps or toilets so it's fully self-sufficient camping. For the peace of other campers, we don't allow generators or pets, sorry. Bimbimbi river bend is a wonderfully secluded spot on the river. Camping amongst the popler trees gave us a wonderful place to have picnics with the kids. The river flows deep enough for an adult to float with a beer down stream. While the sheltered shallows are great for kids to play in the mud with an abundance of skipping rocks Ian and his family are very welcoming with free access to and from the farm with town close by and markets on the weekends with lots of family fun. Cant wait to stay again and bring some friends as well

Weekend Trip to Creal's Rest

We had a lovely 2 nights stay at Creal’s Rest. It was very peaceful. The alpacas were sweet and curious and there was even a baby alpaca! The burbling creek was pretty and a soothing sound. The big apple box gum tree was spectacular and provided nice shade. The site is just down the hill from the main house but quite private. There is a composting drop toilet (with no door). We saw a few platypus in Mannus creek 5 minutes drive down the road at the bridge. It was lovely and green in late spring. Our hosts were kindly and interesting to chat with. Thanks for having us!

Another beautiful stay at Ian and Olga’s property. It is 5 years now since we found their sites on hip camp. The site is right on the river and picture perfect. Lots of birds to listen and watch and the cows are lovely to watch. Grass is kept short and pretty flat making tent set up easy. Fire and fire wood provided and a toilet is set up. Fishing, swimming, reading and daydreaming…perfect place to do some recharging and enjoy nature.

Outstanding, we have never had a better camping experience, private, quiet and so comfortable.. The shelter meant we could enjoy ourselves in any weather. Being able to have a hot shower every day using the clever little set up over the fire was just bliss. The hosts are lovely and have provided so much to make guests comfortable. Toilet, shower, solar lighting, bbq and cooking utensils, sinks with running water, huge table to enjoy a meal around and 3 diferent fire areas. We so appreciated that our dog was welcome and he loved his walks around this beautiful property (leashed, there is cattle, kangaroos and wombats) and then relaxing in our huge fenced site. The creek across the road was gorgeous, shallow enough im spots for paddling, deep enough in others to swim. We just parked ourselves there every day on a picnic rug for the entire day. We stayed for a week but could have stayed so much longer looking at the clear starry sky each night.

Amazing private retreat with lovely elevated views and surrounded by a beautiful landscape. We had a resident bunny, a joey and mum for company in the day, a possum up in the trees at night. We were well settled down in our campervan with access to a power and water point. Hugely grateful to our wonderful host, Kelly who was super helpful with great tips on stops on our journey down and visits at Jindabyne. Thanks to her, I got my first snow experience at Charlotte Pass. Thanks Kelly, for hosting us. We certainly will be back!

Weekend Trip to High Country Camping

Great spot for a variety of campers, caters to those that want a huge big grassy area or others that want a quiet secluded bush camp to themselves. We noticed how absolutely absent of road or aircraft noise, or any man-made noise really. Our camper trailer got through the bush tracks easily and we found a nice sheltered spot from the high winds (big rigs would'nt make one of the sharper bush track turns due to a tree). Huge rigs of any size could find numerous places in the main clearing around the dam/shed which would be perfect for large groups. Incredible amount of easy to grab firewood sets this place apart. Flushing toilet another bonus. We got nice and close to an Echidna too.
