Port Macquarie is known for its beautiful beaches, coastal scenery and walks, koala hospital, local strawberry and tomato picking, and 4WDing at nearby beaches and through Cairncross State Forest.
Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

The pretty country town of Wauchope is only a 12 minute drive and is home to Timbertown, a theme park boasting steam train rides and a glimpse of the timber getting industry of a bygone era.
Drop into the Vibe Coffee House, pick up "the best" coffee and a sensational meal before perusing the many treasures of Wauchope's specialty shops.
A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through.
Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away.
And then; there's Port Macquarie (20 mins) and sorrounds! one of the most scenic and attraction packed areas of Australia's eastern seaboard. Stunning beaches, amazing walks, top class restaurants, the list goes on.

Farm route is accessible by 2WD in dry weather - check with hosts before or on confirmation of booking.
Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you.
On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site.
Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in.
Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area.
Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Unfiltered rainwater is available and cold water outdoor shower for the brave.
The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.)
Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way.
There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees.
For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines along the creek.
There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup.
Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.

Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement.
The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. Please note that all animal interactions are self-led (including our animal nursery), and children must be supervised by their parents/carers. During NSW School Holidays, host led animal interactions will be available at designated times.

A day trip to the Comboyne plateu is a rewarding experience and enhanced by enjoying a meal at the magnificant Byabarra Cafe on your way through.
Whilst the meals equall those of any capital city restaurant, the view of the valley will take your breath away.

Access during unpredictable weather will depend on your vehicle/camper/caravan configuration. Please check with host prior if you are unsure. We are more than willing to make it work for you.
On arrival, guests are met by host and directed to the site.
Camp site is a secluded, grassy spot beside the creek, among tall gum trees, where you can enjoy peace and serenity. Perfect for families or group of friends. The creek has lovely shallow areas suitable for kids to splash and play in.
Occasionally you may see sea eagles soaring overhead, they nest in one of the trees along the creek beside your camp area.
Camp area has a composting drop toilet housed in an outback style 'dunny' shed. Unfiltered rainwater is available and cold water outdoor shower for the brave.
The site has a fire pit and some light fire wood laying around from fallen branches, plus mesh to place over the fire pit if you wish to use the fire for cooking. (There will always be smaller branches and kindling available for fires however, larger and longer burning wood is not guaranteed all season.)
Well behaved pets are welcome. You may be visited by some cattle during your stay...they will keep out of your way.
There are some large and unique trees to admire and keep your eye out for wildflowers that grow along the creek. There is an active eagle's nest in one of the trees.
For a relaxing stroll, guests are welcome to walk the farm fence lines along the creek.
There are so many beautiful local attractions to visit. Our local village is less than 2kms from the property where you will find Byabarra Cafe for excellent refreshments. Then a gorgeous drive up onto the plateau and you will find Comboyne village with a historic 1905 goal, Larrikins Lockup.
Upon arrival your host will provide you with an information pack on local attractions and general Hip Camp house rules and guidelines for your safety and enjoyment.

Yarras East is a working cattle property in the Hastings Valley hinterland 65km (50 mins) west of Port Macquarie (40 mins Pacific Hwy). The pristine Hastings River flows along the northern boundary for 7km providing unsurpassed swimming, fishing and canoeing. Easy access to the river. We encourage catch and release fishing. Bundilla River Camp was fabulous. 5 nights didn’t seem enough. Toilets were clean and the grounds were extremely well maintained. Cheryl was a delightful host and her helper Jeff was great! Swimming in the river was the highlight of our days. We travelled with our GSD who loved it! We will definitely return and tell our friends to stay!!

OMG! paid $7 for 12 egg. i got the biggest egg i have ever seen it was like it was from a emu or something. The camp ground was beautiful and very open. the creek was wonderful to swim in not too cold but fresh, abit rocky but still great to swim in. only thing i can say negative is that the cows are abit chatty 😂

We came out for our grand childrens birthday. Cheryl was beautiful my grand kids loved feeding the animals playing with the kayak in rapid and river absolutely beautiful place will definitely be back ❤️.

Site was nice and flat and well looked after. Amenities were outstanding. And the pool was so lovely. Plenty of animals which were cool. Sites are a little close together and quite close to the house, and the rooster woke us all up at the crack of dawn. But overall nice experience and would recommend

Beautiful spot. Great river for swimming. Neat and tidy camp grounds. Plenty of room to spread out. Great pub for dinner. Pub also offers takeaway menu - we had Pizza around a camp fire. Great time! Will definitely be back soon.
Tip tip: bring something to float down the rapids on 👌🏻

This Hicamp was one to remember. It had everything you needed plus more.
The hosts were super helpful and happy. The River was amazing for a swim and fun for the kids. There was multiple bikes, kayaks, boogie boards for us to use. The playground was an absolute hit for our littlest.
The farm animal feeding was great for the kids, they loved all the animals.
I loved there was options for unpowerd and powered sites.
The drive in was easy access, could have been signed alittle bit better for ease of mind but an absolute mint place.
We will definitely be back.

A gorgeous, peaceful stay on the riverbank. Highly recommend for families as there is plenty to keep the kiddies entertained, especially kayaking and playing amongst the farm animals
