We absolutely loved our stay here. We only stayed for one night on our way north and we would definitely stay there again. Lambert and Deborah are really sweet and caring people, that are really easy going and love to hear story's about your journey. The amenities (bathroom and kitchen) are in a brand new closed shed and really clean. Obviously its a shed so it won't be as clean as a normal house (dust and spiderwebs) but still clean. Lambert offered us to park our ute with rooftent in the middle open bay in the shed to be out of the rain, what we glady did, so everything stayed dry and out if the wind. Even though there is a water treatment plant next to the property you hardly smell anything. In the closed shed there are a few games provided such as a pingpongtable, airhockey and cards and also anything that comes with a kitchen, like plates, cutlery, etc. Would definitely recommend!

Lovey place to stay. The amenities are lovely, making a very comfortable stay. My kids loved having the ping pong and air hockey table, I loved the new bathroom! Great location very close to an easy bike ride. We love the campfire and having wood was such a treat. We explored the property, saw many kangaroos. The only downside was being close to the sewerage plant, when the wind blew the smell come over.

Loved this quiet, beautiful spot! As a solo camper I felt very safe. They provided the fire wood, which is a huge bonus. Saw lots of roos, and many birds. Lovely path and walk to the river. Lambert was a legend, made sure I had everything I needed. Debbie was excellent with communication. Bathroom was immaculate and lots of extras that families would love. I'll certainly be back!

Jim was a great host, accomodating and helpful. We stayed at Goblin Glen and it felt private and surrounded by trees. A perfect little spot, with a toilet nearby. A short drive away you can get to Morisset, and plenty of lovely bushwalks and picnic areas. Great for a little getaway without having to go too far from Sydney. Thanks Jim for sharing your lovely property!

Weekend Trip to Cobbers Rest

Cobbers really is restful. Nestled at the back of a beautiful bush lot, there is a lot of privacy by the creek. There is an alternate site for when cobbers is too wet after rain which is less private (can see main house) but still a pretty nice spot, but we were lucky enough to stay down by the creek, about 300m down a graded rd. Beautiful squiggly gums, nice flat site, a fire pit and a big bag of timber, situated right next to a flowing creek which you can drift off to at night. A tiny bit of highway noise is a semi goes past, but not really noticeable unless you listen for it. The site is large enough for a big group. Obviously, no utilities eg toilet. Going through the two gates to come to and fro was a little cumbersome but we were only a short stay. If longer, not so much use of the gates! I went with a mate but will be back with the family, for sure. You won’t regret staying at Cobbers. Highly recommend. Oh, and proximity to majestic Maddens Falls and Darkes cider / orchard is a massive draw card. See you soon, Cobber!

I had such an amazing time at Otford park! Natasha’s property is stunning, and she was an extremely friendly and hospitable host. The tent-only site was surrounded by lush rainforest, and extremely well maintained. The facilities, including firepit, kitchenette, toilet, shower were amazing, and the option for Natasha to provide firewood was really handy. I was a little nervous about accessing the property in my 2WD sedan, but it was totally fine and Natasha sent through instructions with pictures before my arrival which were helpful. The property is also really well located for walks to nearby beaches, lookouts and national parkland. Thanks Natasha, I can’t wait to come back!

Mountain Lagoon Hideaway

Located at Bilpin, this beautiful campsite is nestled at the foot of the majestic Blue Mountains and backs onto Wollemi National Park. This magical 16 acres is abundant with wildlife and where you camp is the mouth to the beginning of some great hiking tracks in the National Park! There are a few great campsites to choose from- one at the top of the property (good for families/large groups up to approx 20) with good flat ground and surrounded by a lush forest. It's close to the road so it is easy access in and out, another two at the back with water views and one in the forest (If you have 4wd and portable loo we can give you an exclusive spot in the bottom of the golden gorge). Enjoy the sounds of the bubbling stream and see the sunset at the waterhole. Sit back and relax around the campfire whilst toasting a marshmallow or some damper. This campsite offers a unique heptagonal toilet (no shower yet but its on the way). Please ensure you're fully self sufficient with all other supplies (including water). From here you can explore the amazing Blue Mountain views, marvel at a magical glow worm dell, check out the 2 apple cider breweries and taste some of the region's delicious produce. Colo River is 30 mins away, a clear waterhole is 10 min drive ( 4wd only- hosts can transport if available), the mouth of a hiking trail to the National Park is on the property, the main township of Bilpin is close by with the baker, fruit and vege picking, Mountain Bells Cafe (host recommendation), apple pies galore and the restaurant , the markets are on Saturday morning 10-12 noon at the local hall and there is a free meditation group 9am Sunday at the monastery. With so much to do you will need more than one night or plan a return visit to the amazing Mountain Lagoon Hideaway at Bilpin! We can also offer massage and reiki treatments on site as a 'nature immersion' experience or if you prefer it can be in the privacy of a massage studio (10 mins away), guided nature and wildlife walks/sunset walks or longer hikes, professional ecology tours, fire twirling lessons or performance and African drumming lessons, games for the kids, local produce hampers, eggs and BBQS (with notice and if hosts are available). We will leave you entirely to yourselves but if you do need any help or information or even a little guided walking tour of the locality we are very happy to accommodate you. An easy 20 minute drive from the M1 (Pacific Motorway) Morisset exit, Wombat Flats Campsite is an exclusive, quiet and private camping area at the back of our 100 acres. We only book one group at a time so you will have the entire site and facilities all to yourselves! There is no traffic noise: all you will hear is the sound of the bush! The campsite borders Watagan National Park and guests can access the park directly through our back gate for bushwalking activities. We also have for enjoyment a Tiny Forest. We planted 1240 trees on our property. It’s a space where you can sit and enjoy your yoga or have a cup of tea.

Otford Park nr Royal National Park

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Maximum length is approx 5m. Please scroll through the photos to see our amenities and camping sites. 3. We limit the number of people staying at any one time, so weekends book up quickly. That said, due to Covid and weather, people often cancel at the last minute too, so if we are currently booked out, it's always worthile checking again closer to the date for any availability. Down by the Hawkesbury

Originally settled in 1889 "Bobs Grant" this lovely property and the surrounding land was originally used for farming but is now mostly turf farms. Enjoy our little getaway down by the Hawkesbury River only 10 minutes from historic Windsor. A beautiful river shack for your use exclusively, including fire pit with direct access to the Hawkesbury river. Destroyed in the March and July 2022 floods, we have now re-built and are looking forward to welcoming back our guests. Bring your caravans, tent or swag - all are welcome! Unfortunately, boats are not. Relax and enjoy the serenity whilst being only 1 hour from Sydney. We offer the site to one group only, a maximum of 20 guests. However note, we are not a place for rowdy groups and parties. Groups are welcome here to enjoy the time with their family and friends, play a little music and relax by the river. The river can get busy (which is great after the floods as it has been dead for so long) and so can the road across the river but if you are enjoying your family and friends you won't even notice! We have cleared grassy paddocks, some shady areas, and access to the Colo River, one of the most pristine rivers in NSW. Our river access is normally shallow, well suited to young families or those who just want to lay back and enjoy a quiet refreshing dip. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m. (Saturday night 2 night minimum) Pets are allowed on a case-by-case basis, please check with Hosts prior to booking, as conditions and a charge applies. Colo River Hut

We are 1.5 hrs from Sydney. On arrival you will feel the atmosphere of this wilderness area. Colo River Hut is located adjacent to the Colo River. A beautiful, unspoiled location on a pristine river. With it's own private beach and over 400 metres of riverfront. We are on the opposite side of river from the the Wollemi National Park. The hut sits (alone) within the eastern (10 acre paddock) of our property. There are no walls and so you have permanent views across the paddock to large sandstone cliffs and we are less than 30 metres from the riverbank. The Hut has a rustic tin roof, a large bench area with power points and task lighting. Tents or swags can be set up within the Colo River Hut. Or, if you wish, you can set up your tent or camper or small caravan adjacent to the Hut. There is plenty of room as there is a maximum of 6 guests (and 3 vehicles) with each booking. The Hut has a raised hardwood timber floor and enclosed composting toilet and hot/cold shower facilities. It also has ceiling fans for airflow and insect control. We provide a gorgeous shaded area under a large tree with valley views, with a large bbq table and chairs and fire pit (with grill) for your enjoyment. Firewood is also provided. Suitable for swimming, canoes, bikes, Bass fishing, and hiking, the Colo River Hut can be as active or relaxing as you wish. The Colo River Valley remains largely undiscovered, and is on the edge of the Wollemi wilderness. The Colo is fed by the Wolgan and Capertee Rivers. It has a long history and retains much of its' early unspoiled charm.

Calabash Haven

Welcome! Lovely to see you here. Our property is located in Arcadia, just 45 minutes from Sydney CBD. The campsite is located on the high side of the property that looks over into the valley & has stunning views of the Berowra National Park. There is a multitude of walking, hiking and mountain bike trails. There are also many nearby horse riding trails. The property backs on to Calabash Creek which is like a rain Forrest once you get down to the valley floor. Berowra waters is near by, whereby many fishing, canoeing, boating activities are available, coupled with some great cafes/restaurants. Campfires are allowed as long as there are no restrictions in place and they are supervised. Pets are welcome and can be off leash, however are the responsibility of their human parents. The property has ample room to accommodate larger groups that might want to hold milestone celebrations such as Birthday parties, whereby all sites will be closed to accommodate such events. Recently Calabash Haven hosted a party of 50 people for 50th Bday celebration. Feel free to inquire to see if we can accommodate your needs.
