Great proximity to the city for a one or two nighter! Camp site 4 has a next door neighbour dog that barks a fair bit when you arrive but he settles down. Otherwise, nice spot and peaceful! We were able to arrive early and leave late which was a nice bonus. There’s lots of kindling around, too.

5 nights at Willa Willa Park

The kids absolutely loved the farm, the animals and the whole experience. They cant wait to visit again. Darren is a wonderful host, the water tank ran dry in the cabin and he was onsite in minutes to help fix the issue. So nice being able to tent camp with nobody but the birds & animals for company, but also having a lovely kitchen & bathroom on hand as well. Will be back!

This is a lovely camp site with fantastic views. I would highly recommend this site to someone who is new to camping or enjoys camping with with a view of the valley

We enjoyed our winter stay, fire pits available great to keep you warm and roast some marshmallows or mini Krankies a new treat for our lot. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, The camping space was adequate, absolutely massive, allows you have large groups and or set up away camp from other campers for a little privacy. safe for kids and toddlers, with entertainment of farm animals and tractor rides only one shower but if you book, it works out well, it is a bit of a walk to amenities, nice stroll under the moon light or short drive if you don't have other options in your camp set up. amble variety of fruit and veg to walk through and pick. very popular for the day trippers, we will be looking forward to booking again for the summer fruits

We had a great time camping over the long weekend. We appreciated the flat site which made setup easy and the location in the middle of the orchard was very nice. Some great sunsets and the kids really enjoyed themselves (including the tractor ride). The owners are very nice and it was great to learn about their family's long history on the property.

Weekend Trip to Otford Park nr Royal National Park

I had such an amazing time at Otford park! Natasha’s property is stunning, and she was an extremely friendly and hospitable host. The tent-only site was surrounded by lush rainforest, and extremely well maintained. The facilities, including firepit, kitchenette, toilet, shower were amazing, and the option for Natasha to provide firewood was really handy. I was a little nervous about accessing the property in my 2WD sedan, but it was totally fine and Natasha sent through instructions with pictures before my arrival which were helpful. The property is also really well located for walks to nearby beaches, lookouts and national parkland. Thanks Natasha, I can’t wait to come back!

Beautiful spot! Went camping for two nights would definitely recommend the location to friends. Having a fire going as you watch the sun setting over the river was incredible. Staff were very friendly and the amenities were great, especailly the hot water!!

Had a peaceful weekend at Canoelands Valley Camping. The site was quiet, spacious, and had great views. Easy 2WD access to Site 1, and the lookout was a nice bonus. Clean facilities and a good spot for a campfire under the stars. Would definitely come back.

C Colo - just beautiful

Our property contains the first road in and out of Colo - the original road is supported by hand built dry rock walls some of which are over 3 m high. Often referred to as convict built, but more likely built by freemen who were former convicts. The property housed the load master's residence who controlled the cargo boats that docked to collect the valley’s produce. This was then transported back down the Colo River which flows into the Hawkesbury river and leads to Broken Bay following the coastline down to Old Sydney Town. The beach diagonally across the river was landed upon by members of the First Fleet’s exploratory scouting party on the lookout for quality farm land - some of which is still in production today. Our property is on the uppermost reach of freshwater but with tidal influence. This deep water allows swimming and canoeing all year round. Our property is adjacent to the only council built canoe launching facilities on the Colo River.

With over 20 acres of space to explore you'll be able to bring your tent, caravan or camper trailer here. The property features a large dam, flat land and plenty of trees for shade and firewood. Located just 15 minutes from shops, coles, restaurants etc you'll still be able to get easy access to supplies if you forget anything. We have 2 entrances, a 2WD entrance that is great for smaller cars or cars with caravans, or a 4WD entrance which has no gates and is a great bit of fun to go up and down if you're into that. As campers ourselves we know how important it is to have a private, uncrowded space. We only offer 4 sites so you never have to worry about having someone stay right next to you. All sites are very far from each other. You can swim in the dam, light a fire and just enjoy the peace.

The large lake is a feature of the property and abounds with bird life of many species. This campsite suits fully self sufficient campers with own drinking water and toilet/shower amenities. In summer you may see mumma swan and her baby cygnets, as well as lots of ducklings. Drop in your paddle board or kayak for a leisurely paddle. Take a relaxed stroll around the property and depending on the season you might spy a wylie fox or a turtle laying eggs. Deer occasionally visit and echidnas and wombats, although nocturnal animals sometimes are a precious sight. Sitting on 25 acres this spot is great to just unwind and relax, looking out over the trees down the valley is as beautiful as it gets. A lot of bird activity will accompany your mornings and afternoons. Enjoy sitting around the fire pit at nighttime roasting marshmallows. Come nighttime during September - February it is the mating season for koalas, the valley being a known corridor for koloas you quite often hear them searching for their partner. being such an accessible site and not off the beaten track, some days you may notice more vehicles driving past. Just a short drive to the local country pub, even a few local wineries. Take the old convict road all the way down to the country pub at st Albans, which is very peaceful for adults but theres also a creek for the kids to play in and newly upgraded playground. Off the convict road there are a few 4wd tracks. Just back from the property you have direct access into the Watagan Mountains, which offers great 4wd tracks, lots of hiking trails, motorbike tracks and even a few waterfalls.

Canoelands Orchard Camping and Fruit Picking, is located just 1 hour from Sydney's CBD. The property is 81 acres in total with a small shop and cafe onsite. We offer pick your own fruit so are open to the public daily (closed on occasion). Trading hours can be viewed at www.bookingscanoeladns.com. We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. Guests can enjoy hiking, wandering the orchard picking fresh produce, taking a tractor ride, feeding the animals and relaxing. Please note we are a working farm so sometimes tractors and vehicles can be heard working from 7am. There will be foot traffic and possibly tractor rides operating near some of the sites although we will do our best to respect your privacy while you are here. We also have a quarry surrounding most of the property, so they sometimes operate machinery early. This is not generally too disruptive though. We are just 15 minutes' drive from the beautiful historical Wiseman's Ferry and the Hawkesbury River. There are multiple hiking tracks located close by. We have several sites to offer around the property. We have a beautiful huge dam just 350m down the gully. It’s super peaceful although a steep walk down the driveway to access, it's definitely worth it, so pack your walking shoes and some swimmers.

Otford is a historic village in a valley between Sydney and Wollongong, and bounded by the Pacific ocean. Our private acreage backs onto the southern tip of the Royal National Park, so the outlook from the campsite is all leafy trees. Walk to lookouts over the ocean, hike down to the beach or a few minutes drive to dog friendly beaches. Our bathroom and kitchen facilities make it an easy experience for first time campers. We are well-behaved-dog-friendly BUT you must let us know in advance. Our access track to the camping sites has been repaired with a deep layer of asphalt but still best suited to 4WD. The majority of standard 2WD cars manage the track fine There is also the option of parking roadside, and walking in approx 300m to the sites. Please message us if unsure about your vehicle. IMPORTANT PLEASE READ 1. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog/dogs - we have horses, house dogs, chickens and; wildlife plus likely other campers close by, so need to be forewarned. Dogs must be on lead or contained at all times. 2. If you need to camp out of your 4WD RV (such as a roof top tent), please contact me before booking to ensure those two particular vehicle sites are still available :) and that your vehicle is suitable for our track. Amazing sunrises, sunsets, and star gazing are provided free of charge along with bird watching, local wildlife, and horses in surrounding paddocks. We offer limited sites to comply with NSW Camping legislation and Hipcamp guidelines and to enable campers to experience the Colo as it should be, listening to the beautiful wildlife and really appreciating the outdoors. Sites are large spaces with varying distance between sites to enable you to enjoy the camping experience in your own space. Both paddock sites and limited river spots are available. If you are planning to stay with friends and you wish to share a site only 1 booking is required, the sites are large, some up to 30m x 30m.
