The King River Site is an extra large riverside bush campsite that could accommodate a large group of Vans (10 at least). It has a designated fire pit and Campers will need to have own Toilet/Shower amenities and be and leave no trace behind when leaving us. Accessible for most types of vehicles. Dog friendly if well behaved and controlled and won't chase the Cattle. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place, firewood for sale (see Extras). We are close to the region’s attractions including 15mins drive to Brown Brothers Winery in Milawa, many Lookouts and National Parks, Lake William Hovell, Restaurants, Wineries and Distilleries of this special area.

In the area you can expect terrific access to local wineries and gourmet restaurants in the region, tourist hotspots like Beechworth, the king valley and Mt Buffalo, Bright and the snow fields are also achievable for a day trip throughout winter and the Ovens river is only a short drive with several popular swimming holes or spots to cast a line in. There are 2 campsites on the property (Ovens and King), both accessible from the main driveway and signed for your direction. 4wd are recommended in the wetter months as access is via a typical paddock track. Both campsites are leave no trace so your own WC facilities are a must with all waste taken away with you. No power available at the sites either. Fires permitted in pits provided during the appropriate periods, and you can either bring your own wood or you can purchase for a small fee. Pets are welcome, i do have a Border Collie (Errol) who is friendly and may say hello. Weekend Trip to Gum Leaves

Such a wonderful spot for a group camp or family getaway! Tony was so welcoming. He was great with our 4 year old and took him to see the cows and sheep. The property is large, really beautiful and well maintained. Highly recommend waking around! The amenities were neat and there's different bits amd pieces to use eg ice maker, microwave. The pool was lovely for a cool down. The tennis court was a real hit too. Thanks so much Tony, we will be back!

Weekend Trip to Willowood

Exceeded my expectations! Absolutely beautiful spot. I camped for 2 nights with my sons aged 6 and 18 months. Perfect mix of swallow water swimming for the boys and deep water for adults. Caught a couple healthy looking fish as well. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you Sally!

We had a lovely stay at Willowwood. It was so peaceful and absolutely beautiful. A campervan managed the path very well. Will come back again one day.

2 nights at Billabong Flats Farm

Actually we had a choice of all Kerryn’s sites and chose the White Cedar. Such a lovely site beside a huge Cedar tree and the King River. Everything was set up. Wood for the open fire together with a grate for cooking, big logs for sitting around the open fire. Bird life was amazing, kookaburras sang night and morning. The solitude was terrific amazing as it was just a short distance from town. I walked my dog on the property and watched the kangaroos. There were even fish jumping in the river unfortunately we forgot our fishing rods. Our hosts were very friendly and wanted to make sure that we were aware of our surrounds and to stay safe. I would highly recommend BillaBong Flats farm it’s in such a beautiful part of Victoria.

What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

This campsite was incredible. It was very clean and spacious. However it was particularly beautiful and peaceful with a friendly dog to round it off. This may be the perfect campsite if you’re looking for one with numerous ammenities.
