Incredible central and private location, set back off the Snow Road in Oxley, Northeast Victoria, boasting natural riverplain terrain with diverse ecology, lagoons and rivers onsite. There is plenty to do in the area from wineries to walking tracks, snow fields to breweries, not to mention renowned Brown Brothers Winery and the Milawa Cheese Factory, just down the road. There are tracks from your campsite that link to the sealed bike path which joins Wangaratta, Oxley and Milawa townships together. Then only a short walk, bike or scooter ride and you are at Miranda Winery, King River Cafe or Oxley Park (with playground and BBQ). There is also a communal swimming hole (King River) at the Stan Allen Reserve just before the Oxley Park. This is particularly great for the campsites that, although are perched on the banks of the King River, don’t have their own designated swimming hole. Also a key feature is, the irrigation during summer months keeping campsites green all year round as well as the natural lagoons to paddle in with the kayak. If you are a keen fisherman, the King River is known for Cod and if you have booked one of the southern most sites you will be able to paddle up the river in a kayak fishing, (kayak not supplied). There are no toilets available onsite and campers must be self-contained keeping in mind, there are toilet facilities at the Oxley Park. Pets are welcome but, must be contained within your site as there are livestock and other campers to consider. Our property is located on a 10-acre block on the banks of the Murray River. We are approximately 3km from the town centre but have a private and secluded feel with no close neighbours. A peaceful base camp to retreat back to after exploring the region. Nestled on the river bank, among the gum trees and pines, are beautiful shady, camping spots, welcoming self-contained campers, with plenty of room for you to set up comfortably. A stone's throw from camp you'll find a great place to fish for Murray Cod and crays, a spot from which to launch your canoes or paddle boards, the bank is quite steep and you can access using a ladder which is shown in photos. There is access to many wonderful cycling tracks and rail trails in the area. There is a corner shop within walking distance, and great cafes and restaurants close by. Corowa Chocolate and Whisky Factory Museum, Golf Club, RSL and cinema. With the wineries of Wahgunyah and Rutherglen just over the bridge! There are sunny and shady spots but sun cannot be guaranteed all day so please bring a generator or hire ours if you need extra power.

Sleep in our lovely vintage caravan on the hill top overlooking beautiful 15 Mile Creek valley and Middle Creek. Enjoy mountain views and amazing sunsets. Have a camp fire in the fire pit and the watch the abundant wildlife.We are situated on 50 acres of bush land. Sleeping arrangements: 1 double bed and bunks. Upper bunk is ideal for kiddo weighing 20kg or less (bed rail can be supplied). Fitted sheets are supplied but please bring own pillows and doona etc. If sleeping arrangements inside caravan are unsuitable for group of 4 adults, feel free to bring your tent or swag. Bring an esky and ice for you food and drinks. Here you will have access to rubbish/recycling facilities, cookware, cooking utensils, cutlery). Enjoy the nearby King Valley wineries, rivers and creeks or simply kick back at camp and watch the Roos and cows in the paddock below. The caravan is ideal for a couple or small family. The track up to the campsite is 2wd accessible in dry weather for capable drivers. The caravan is set up with lights and a USB charger. There is a BBQ set up for you to use and basic pantry items (oil, salt, pepper etc) there is a lovely fire pit with logs bench seats but probably worth packing your camping chair. What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.
