Lovely peaceful spot, removed from town traffic and full of native birdlife. Large site with complete privacy. Firepit provided. Overlooks the river, but access to the river is limited to your ability to scramble down a steep, bushy river bank. Our Rhodesian Ridgeback loved the freedom of wandering around the site and was curious, but intimidated by the beautiful cattle that grazed our way from time to time.

We camped with friends on site 4, we didn't know the composting toilets had been moved up top near site 3 & 4,bit of a walk for those camping at the bottom near river. Beautiful spot,stunning sunsets. 5 min walk to river, the boys kayak and had bit of a fish - some bites. Not far to Comboyne for day drive or 4wd through state forests. Very scenic and Bruce was lovely to chat to.

We all enjoyed caravan and tent camping on the farm. We could hear cows across the river. The site is dog friendly as long as they are restrained. Great composting toilets. Lots of great drives and owns to discover. We kayaked up the river and had some fun on small rapids. Great for a cool off after a big day. Thank you for hosting us! A long weekend we will not forget.

OMG… We did not want to leave, the serenity, the beautiful surrounds and too top it off Paul’s Dad, Sam is a champ. Don’t miss this place if you’re near by. I am actually a little jealous of the owners. It’s magical. We love the camp kitchen and bathroom, so unique. Not fancy, just homely and fabulous. My sister and I spent 4 idyllic days @ Oxley Riverside. It's all been said before such a great effort by charming host Bruce needs to be acknowledged. The campsites are private, very scenic and well maintained with plenty of flat ground on all sites. The evening skies are simply wonderful and the bird life an absolute delight. The ladies & gents toilets are next level for a camping ground. Bruce was so very helpful. We loved our stay and it was a highlight of our road trip. The area is very picturesque with mountains and the Hastings River running through the valley. Hope to return in autumn.

Our Kindred Acres is in the perfect position with so much to offer locally including wildlife, fishing, boating, swimming, bush walking, bird watching, bike riding, relaxing, and the overwhelming enjoyment of mother nature at her best. Our jaw-dropping Camp Kitchen has all things required to make your stay as relaxing as possible. Accessible to RVs, camper trailers, tents caravans. Guests to be self-sufficient with their own water, power, shower/toilet facilities, cooking facilities. Bathroom facilities on request. Camp Kitchen is a communal area for all guests, leave clean and tidy. Leave No Trace – please take all rubbish/items and dispose correctly. Dogs on request, friendly and well behaved, restrained on arrival as we have free range chooks. Pick up dog poo and take it with you. National Parks are nearby, you should familiarise yourself with their domestic pet rules; locations, all available on the NSWNP website. Fires – on arrangement, you are welcome to bring your own firepit and firewood or OKA can supply. Before setting up, we will organise pavers and sand to ensure our grass is protected. We do have firewood available to purchase, 20kg @ $20.00. Firewood/Kindling collection is not permitted without our consent. Permission to use generators & chainsaws must be sought. If granted, generators to be super quiet and off between 9pm and 7am. Our 10pm noise curfew is for the enjoyment of all guests. Bernard and Susan are custodians of the farm, primarily using the land for poultry (egg), pig, and goat farming. They are transitioning to an off-grid and eco-friendly lifestyle for their retirement. The Hatch Farm is home to many animals, most of whom are rescues - including border collies, cavalier king charles spaniels, chickens, ducks, pigs, sheep, goats, miniature horses, cows, cats, rabbits, and guinea pigs. There is plenty to do and see around the farm from complete relaxation, interacting with the friendly animals (there is usually a variety of babies to cuddle!), to casting a line or launching your boat from the rustic boat ramp. If we are here to greet you on arrival you can fill up with potable rain water at our cottage. The Hastings is still tidal at our place so the access and flow varies throughout the day - we generally take our littlest kids down at low tide. Swim, fish or explore our hiking trails though the old growth riparian vegetation along winding creeks. If you are into birds you will see plenty here - in the last 12 months we have counted nearly 100 different species on our property!
