We loved this farm stay. We booked site 1 which had power and it's a great spot right near where you walk down to the river. It was so tranquil. Well manicured. Cute swing set and had fun using the communal bikes. The pit toilets are very clean. We utilised the wood fire pizza oven the first night which was such a hit! The kids loved the farm tour, we got to see bunnies, goats, chickens and cows. Would definitely come back again in the warmer months the river would be awesome to swim in. You feel like you're in the middle of no-where (which you kinda are) but we went into port for the day and it's only half an hour drive. Highly recommend. Thanks so much guys!

What an incredible place to bring the family! We stayed for three nights and were so glad we did. The kids loved visiting the animals and riding their bikes. The swings were also a big hit. The pit toilets were perfect for us since we don't have amenities in our van. It was easy to tow our van to the campsite. Thank you, Rick and Cheryl!

4 nights at Kingfisher Kampers, Nana Glen

This is our second visit to Bundilla River camp and once again it did not disappoint. This time we visited with friends and enjoyed our time swimming in the river, walking the short trail and saying hello to the cows as they passed our camp each morning. Kids loved the swing and visit to feed the animals. The addition of the pit toilets was a welcome surprise that added to our comfort. We enjoyed our time here so much we have all decided to make it at least an annual event.

Beautiful peaceful spot with access to your own bathroom and undercover area. Walked the dog through the property to explore the creek and river area. The local townships have cafes and bakery. Had access to power and water if needed. Thanks to Rob & Karel for their hospitality

Weekend Trip to Vallis Oakes

Bundilla River Camp was the best!! Highly recommend to anyone. We loved it and were lucky enough to have it all to ourselves as we went just after the floods. It was a little wet and muddy but that was perfect for our kids. We had fires each night, watched the stars, woke up to the beautiful cows in the morning, river swims, swings, bike ride's and gorgeous walks. It was so quiet and peaceful. Toilets were clean and it was so handy having a river water tap to use. Rick and Cheryl were great to talk too. We only booked an hour or so before we arrived and it all went smoothly and was easy. We can’t wait to come back!

One of the nicest hipcamps we have stayed at!! We had the most peaceful night at Sammy’s property. Crystal clear waters and quiet bushland that was exactly the refresh we needed. It was a pleasure to meet Sammy and his family including their beautiful dog Banjo. It is clear that they take great pride in their slice of paradise and we were grateful to experience it for a night. Sammy was the perfect host and made sure to explain exactly how to access the property. Thank you again for being kind and understanding about our little pup Hank not being dog-social on our trip. We felt completely welcome and can’t wait to return!

The amenities were far beyond what we expected—clean facilities with a hot shower, which felt amazing after a long day of exploring. The site itself is thoughtfully laid out with tracks running through the property, perfect for short hikes or morning strolls to take in the peaceful surroundings. What made the experience truly special were the hosts—they were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and full of great local tips, they genuinely care about creating a great experience for their guests. Weekend Trip to Vallis Oakes

Redcamp is as beautiful, if not more beautiful, than it appears in the photographs. Even though it rained during our stay it didn't stop us from enjoying a swim in the beautiful crystal clear waters of the swimming hole. My 3 year old granddaughter loved playing with the river pebbles and we enjoyed the grassy open space. No bindis or weeds, great for running around barefoot, great fire pit too. Make sure that you take everything you need as Bowraville is a good hour away. The hosts were friendly and welcoming as too was their dog Banjo who visited often. Firewood is available to purchase on arrival, so no need to carry it with you.

What a great place!! Beautiful spaces to explore and enjoy. Camping areas have been cleared and well cared for. The trail to the waterfall is easy to follow and the falls are simply amazing. Well worth a visit. Rod has created a lovely space.

Beautiful drive in to property and lovely location with good amenities. Creek was easy to access and great to swim in. Close proximity to Port Macquarie. We had a lot of rain and were flooded in for half a day, which made the site a little slippery to get out of. Rick and Cheryl were extremely helpful and accomodating though!

Your own private waterfall!!! Need I say more. We stayed in the fenced area which was so nice to let the doggo run around. The hike to the waterfall is a bit steep but my goodness it is worth it If your looking for, off grid, peace and serenity give this place a go. However if you have someone over 15f I would probably give it a miss. The roads are very treacherous. We have a 18 f caravan and it was truly a mission

Located in the Nambucca Valley and set on 100 acres of mixed farmland, native bush, pockets of rainforest and rolling hills. You are surrounded by trees, farmlands, fields and nothing but nature. It is a place you can truly feel Mother Nature’s quirks and get away from the stress of the world. From rolling hills, to mountainous ocean views, to steep tree lined gullies & clear river swims in the Taylor’s Arm River; Whip Mountain Farm is a place to slow down & disconnect to re-connect with what’s important. Speaking of connection you won’t find phone service unless you trek to the top of the mountain, so rest assured you can completely switch off if you choose to. You are free to wander the property as you wish. There are plenty of walking trails throughout and many spots to set up camp for beautiful sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. As we are up high, noise carries through the valley, so we ask no parties or doofs are to be held here. We live for music but please respect the valley and the fauna that also calls this place home - so keep it low after 10pm. We love and respect our land & if you are to stay here, we ask that you will to. Treat it like your own piece of paradise, so that we can continue to offer this beautiful experience to others for years to come. There is a large freshwater lake to swim in and laze the sunny days away & the stars are so bright at night. There is also a river just down the road at the bottom of the property you can swim, kayak or fish. We get bass in the river, so if fresh fish for dinner is your kind of thing you will love it. The place is a little wild, and we like it like that. That being said you may be sharing with snakes and spiders occasionally, so keep an eye out and zip up your tents and close doors. Keep aware in the warmer summer months and make noise when you are bushwalking. We also have some neighbour cows that like to come and hang out on the land. They are friendly, so if you see them moving about, feel free to say hi. Here you feel like you are a million miles away from the world when in reality you are just a short 15 minutes from the cute country town of Macksville with an epic pub meal and essential items you need to stock up for a few days. It’s 5 minutes to the Taylors Arm River where you can swim and kayak and a 15 minute drive from Taylors Arm and the iconic ‘Pub With No Beer’ (they have plenty of beer). A little further east, a short 30 minute scenic country drive will end you up on some of the mid-north coasts most stunning coastlines and beaches including Scott’s Head, Grassy Head, Nambucca Beach, and Valla Beach all renowned for epic surfing spots and cute cafes. A longer drive of 50 minutes north, straight up the highway will get you to Coffs Harbour and 60 minutes south to Port Macquarie. It’s such a beautiful part of the world and we can’t wait for you to fall in love like we have.

The tiny house has been positioned to be completely private, and there will be no one sharing this area with you, yet the main house is not too far away in case you have any emergencies. Other things to note We aim to be as sustainable as possible while not skimping on luxury. We aim to make your stay as memorable as possible and provide lots of personal touches, but please do not take anything from the tiny house. We have solar panels, water tanks and filter the water to the tiny house. Luckily for us we live in a wet part of the world so no need to worry about how much water you use, though please only use toiletries provided, or ensure the ones you bring are eco friendly. The toilet is a composting toilet but it is used as any flushing toilet, without the flush! The place is extremely quiet, though sometimes dirt bikes can be heard travelling through the fire trails. Beautiful bird calls and the spotting of wildlife are assured.

Bundilla River Camp

Come camp along the beautiful Wilson River on a working cattle property. Shady, grassy campsites by a flowing river, just 25 minutes drive from Port Macquarie. SELF CONTAINED CAMPERS ONLY To keep our valley pristine, all campers must be fully self-contained. This means having your own toilet, water supply, and taking all waste with you when you leave. This is non-negotiable to maintain the site's natural beauty. PETS are welcome provided they are good with other dogs and livestock. FLOOD WARNING The property is located on river frontage, it may be subject to flooding during heavy rain. Please check with us 3 days before arrival to confirm current conditions. In case of flooding, a full refund will be issued, or an alternate campsite on higher ground may be available. While the photos showcase the stunning blue waters, please note that the water’s appearance may change after heavy rain. You are welcome to enjoy campfires, provided there are no local restrictions. Beautiful undulating bush block with a lovely dam for swimming. The property offers about 10 acres of cleared and reasonably flat land to choose your campsite. Dogs are welcome under supervision. All guests need to be completely self contained. You will need to have your own toilet and shower facilities. As Caravans and RVs are unable to access the road further west, this is a great place to set up a base camp for day trips. Just 5 kms from Macleay river which is ideal for canoeing, fishing, swimming, etc. 10 kms east of the lovely area of Nulla Ck (home of Slim Dusty) and the historic village of Bellbrook that has a quaint old Pub that serves delicious food and has great views of the river. No agriculture or farms upstream, only one other like-minded property owner. Secluded, but hiding smack bang in the middle of everywhere! From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. You will come here to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of `Black Mountain'. `Black Mountain’ is on Gumbainggir country. It is a registered conservation property bordering Nymboida River and Nymboi-Binderay National Park. Alastair and I have shared the property for more than 25 years and consider ourselves custodians of this precious place. Visitors enjoy: the pristine river; walking tracks through diverse terrain; starry night skies and campfires. Previous guests recommend staying at least two nights to soak up the atmosphere and explore the area. Choose from the 'Ant Shack' or four adjacent campsites with easy access and views to the Nymboida River. Shared facilities include a hot shower and composting toilets. You can walk, swim and kayak, explore the area or just relax for days. We can’t accommodate domestic animals or allow fishing, not even catch and release, because we protect our wildlife and the endangered Eastern Cod. Black Mountain is remote but just 60 kilometres from Grafton or Coffs (via back way). 2WD access to our house is from Nymboida only. 4WD/AWD from Lowanna or Glenreagh and 4WD/AWD down to the river/campsite area - Not suitable for caravans. All proceeds from Airbnb and Hipcamp are invested in the continuing conservation of Black Mountain.
