Rocky Ridge is a 93 acre Native Woodland Block that is being brought back to life after decades of neglect. Currently the property is under development and is hosting multiple livestock species. Rocky Ridge is being upgraded and we plan on adding a composting toilet/shower and outdoor undercover camp kitchen. Rocky Ridge offers a perfect stepping off location for the 4wd/Motorcycle and Horse enthusiasts among us. Rocky Ridge Camp Site is roughly 200m above sea level and offers amazing view through the Macleay Valley.Pitch a tent, park your motorhome, pull up your camper trailer - the freedom is yours to choose. Set up basecamp and start exploring the nearby forests and beaches of the Mid North Coast. Rocky Ridge is a back to basics and a closer-to-nature style camping. We’ve got a little fire pit and keep it stocked with firewood and the area mown. Venture out into the Nature Reserve or State Forest by Horse, 4wd or Motorbike. Dogs and horses OK but you will need to bring your own portable fencing for horses, and make sure your dogs don’t stray from the site.

Took 2hrs of jigging around to find a semi level spot. Right next to road, with a steady stream of traffic including motorbikes, extra busy on weekends. Very tight, steep entry up to camp spot, very grass clumpy/uneven ground, hard to have annex mat out or a level table. Best/easiest way to get there is from Fredrickton, or else you spend 20 to 30 minutes winding your way through forest

Awesome spot with a great outlook! It was very private - the site is reasonably close to the road but only two cars drove by the entire stay. This is definitely one of our favourite spots.

Spectacular 180 degree views over the valley. Host was friendly and informative about the area with places to see near by. Plenty of fire wood available and being a single campsite able to bring our pet Bull Arab who thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
