The property is mostly natural bush with some cleared patches for camping and horse grazing. The road entering the property is damaged due to the resent rain and you will need to drive through water. Most cars are safe but if you have a low set car or if you are delicate with your car I would not recommend. Only 30 mins from natural arch and 20 mins to great fishing and crabbing in the tweed river. Dog friendly (must be well controlled no aggressive dogs). Drop toilets and hot showers. There are 2 cabins available each with private portable toilet and hot outdoor showers. Campfires permitted ( when fire bans not in place) and wood can be purchased in advance during booking process. No fire wood to be collected off property BYO or purchase in advance. Not a place for loud music and parties, happy for everyone to have fun but noise is restricted. It features a large area of wilderness with untouched rainforest and unique plants and animals connected to the ancient supercontinent of Gondwana. This site is situated at the base of The Helmet, a culturally significant woman’s mountain. Come and pitch a tent or swing in your camper. The site is in its early beginnings, as we are converting an open paddock into a nursery and food forest. The two campsites are all situated close to the dam. There is currently no amenities so you need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. (There is some availability of rainwater that’s collected at the nursery). Pets are welcome to camp with you. So long as they don’t disturb the wildlife💚
