Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean. To ensure all our guests have a comfortable and spacious experience, each campsite is designated for one camp set up only (eg one caravan or camper trailer or tent) This allows us to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of space between sites. The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet. Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

There is an an outdoor undercover space including a kitchenette area, BBQ, sink, fridge, freezer, kettle, microwave, cutlery/crockery. Please note there is no oven or cooktop, only a BBQ. Important information: Linen not provided. In each dome there is a queen and king single bed. All linen needs to be bought with you. Pillows, towels, doona, bed linen & towels. PLEASE NOTE: This is not a "glamping" experience so insects and nature is a part of the experience. The dome tents are set on a concrete slab which is regularly sprayed however insects will still be around as the tents are set in the middle of the paddock so please be mindful of this. This property uses Solar Power (not connected to the grid) so please be aware of energy usage. All lights and general appliances are low energy and remain suitable for use over an extended sunless/cloudy period. If you drain the solar you will lose power and hot water. There are 2 portable fans inside the domes for hot days. To reduce the impact on hot days the small dome has a rooftop curtain that should remain closed along with the front window curtains to keep the domes cooler. Please be aware the driveway to the domes is not sealed. It is a gravel driveway. In the rain it may be slippery. If your car is not suitable for gravel inclines park at the top of the driveway. There is a farmhouse on the property. It is diagonally opposite at the end of a separate road and can be booked separately through airbnb. We are professional musicians and love to meeting people. Elphie used to own the iconic Nimbin Rox backpacker hostel, and although Soulhaven is only in its infancy, it still has a relaxed atmosphere. Our favourite part of living at Soulhaven is the daily orchestra of birds! Although you will feel like you’re completely secluded from busy town-life, we are only 15 minutes from the nearest shops. Enjoy a toasty campfire in the evenings where you can sit back and gaze at the stars. There are trail bikes tracks nearby and the iconic Border Ranges is just past Kyogle. This campsite is 2WD friendly and caravans are welcome. You may need to level your caravan for a good night's rest. Your pet, on a lead, is welcome to camp with you. We love animals, but one of the reasons we left suburbia was to get away from barking dogs. If your dog barks at night, or is not we’ll socialised, you’re best to leave pooch at home! Our place is family friendly and we ask that you keep music and noise to a minimum after 10pm.

The open air living allows guests to feel 100% connected to the natural environment, while at the same time having access to reliable, fast internet along with the comforts of a hot shower, flush loo etc. It is an ideal way to capture the restored feeling from remote camping, without the hassle of taking all your camping gear. Sleeping arrangements: We have a custom-made inner spring mattress that is an unusual size due to the vintage age of the vintage caravan & therefore the size, is in between a King-single & double size width & a queen-size length (which may or may not be big enough for 2 people depending on your sleeping expectations). The actual measurements are: 1.13M wide & 2M long. There is also a separate king single-size bed, on the other side of the caravan, suitable for another adult, a child or two small children. All linen and bath towels etc are provided. The caravan is cosy, with a TV, stereo, fridge, sink, wardrobe & storage space. The property is not far from the beautiful bathhouses of Mullumbimby too ie Kiva Spa & Banya bathhouse We are a pet-friendly property. If you wish to bring your friendly pet, they are welcome, but we charge a fee of $25 . Please select that you have a pet when making your booking. We also request that you kindly ensure that your pet does not go inside the caravan or on any of the furniture including the bed, lounge etc. If there is dog hair in the van or on the couch we may need to charge an extra cleaning fee.

Weekend Trip to Rainforest Hideaway

We had an amazing time here. Steve was very friendly and responded promptly when we needed him. The caravan was well kept and had everything you might need. Even though the van is parked close to the road, there’s barely any cars passing by. I wish it had a better view when you’re sitting outside but there’s nothing that can be done about that, still you’re surrounded by trees so it was peaceful and plenty of shade. There’s a nice creek/waterfall a few mins drive from the site, definitely a must especially during the warmer months. First time staying in a caravan and we will definitely be back. Thanks Steve!

We spent the whole weekend at Aliki’s place. It was awesome. Quiet all the time. Sorrounded by native birds. The hot tub was pleasant. Aliki left coffee capsules for us. We took the hike down to the creek and was so nice. At night we light up the fire pit which was really comfy. We definitely recommend the place if you want to have a quiet weekend as a couple.

The tiny house is neatly fitted out to make your stay comfortable and peaceful .Adrian makes sure you have all you need and even took the kids to feed the cows. The dog thoroughly enjoyed the space as well.

7 nights at Petaurus Gardens

We had 2 families staying for over a week. Firstly, the roads have been resurfaced, you definitely dont need a 4wd to get in (my tesla was fine) When you turn onto the road, its about 100m down on the right and well signed. The wildlife was amazing, we even spotted owls. Chris provides just about everything you need, in the tent was bedding, light, fan, towels. The grounds include a kids play area, huge undercover spot for cooking (microwave, hot water, bbq) and eating (plenty of tables), toilets were clean, showers were wonderfully hot, and we had a fire pit for evening marshmallows. For a large group Id recommend bringing extra water, but couples or single family would be fine. Chris was attentive and someone popped by daily to see if we needed anything, they were also always available at the office when we called. We had so much fun on the kayaks, fishing, swimming in the river, its a magical spot. I would definitely recommend for anyone wanting some time out, we could have stayed longer.

We absolutely loved our stay here! The place had everything we needed and more. The beautiful bedding made it feel so comfortable and cosy, the fridges were stocked with drinks and even fresh eggs, and the fire pit was all set and ready to light. The hot spa was definitely a highlight and was perfect for relaxing a. We also loved all the friendly animals — my absolute favourite was the cutest little baby goat! 🐐There’s so much to see and enjoy around the property, and you can really tell how much thought and care has been put into making guests feel welcome. We had such a wonderful and relaxing stay and will absolutely be back again. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely spot. We brought our two dogs and we all thoroughly enjoyed exploring the property & near by towns. The Hot tub was such a treat. The studio was well equiped and very clean. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to others.

Even though the power tripped during the evening & we weren’t able to get it back up & running, Adrian was able to provide a solution for us by offering a generator that was used to supply power. A great space for us & our dog to roam & enjoy the outdoors.

We enjoyed our stay here. The facilities were good, and there was plenty of great space for the dog to run around. The kitchen was really well-equipped with everything needed to cook meals, good sleeping quarters enjoyed sitting outside under the stars in the evening was a huge bonus. Recommend!

Absolutely amazing service and location. We had a little drive ahead of us and were running a little late. We arrived after 7pm to find Chris had already had a campfire going for us. Very impressed with the community amenities as they were clean and had everything we needed! I will definitely be back In the future!
