20 acres on the Peel River. There are unpowered campsites next to the river but the amenities are about a 300m walk. We have a couple of horses, a few chooks and lots of avian wildlife live on the property. Peaceful and with abundant trees.

We are located near Manilla, which lies 45km northwest of Tamworth. You can purchase all you need at the shopping centres there, or in Manilla where you can can pick up groceries and fuel.
We are suitable for caravans or motorhomes with self contained toilets and showers as we have no facilities. It is essential that visitors have these facilities. All waste must be removed. There is a waste dump station in Manilla.
Our property offers flat access from the road, with plenty of room to manoeuvre. We recommend 4WDs - please message us if you are unsure about your vehicle.
You are welcome to stay near the river or in a hidden valley. But again stress the need for self contained removable toilet facilities.
Swim in the river and have a camp fire. Walk in the area, see the abundance of birds and wildlife.
This is a hilly and mountainous area to explore, you are welcome to go fishing along the river bank, or bring a camera as it is a photographer's delight. Very private camping areas.

Loved camping for 3 nights at Susie’s beautiful site during the Easter holidays. The site is very scenic with panaromic views of the hills at horizons. Stunning sunsets n sunrises. Lovely campsite and very peaceful. Not far from Nundle a beautiful scenic historic town surrounded by hills. Susie and Earl came to meet us and was very warm n welcoming. Offered us lovely farm eggs as well which was so kind of them! Highly this place to enjoy the quiet central west!

Great place to stay, just out of town so it is nice and quiet. Excellent friendly hosts, and a few farm animals to say hello to!!
Not to mention toilet and shower facilities.

Thank you for being so welcoming Jenny. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the use of the pool is very generous. We had the place to ourselves so it was very quiet and the location is perfect vicinity to town without being on the highway. Great spot.

I had the most beautiful stay at Oakey Farm! I was lucky enough to have the whole place to myself self! Jenny and her partner were amazing hosts and the directions into the property were spot on. 😍
The pool was so clear and clean and watching the bird life from the pool was beautiful! (Also you can see the cutest goats as you drive into your camp site!)
What made my stay as a young solo Female traveler was Teddy the farm dog who kept me company and also made me feel so safe at all times - which was something truly special to me 🩵 and had the most beautiful nature, honestly I feel in love with him and this property!
I would give this property a 20 out of 10 - I really enjoyed my stay and will hopefully be back! Honestly this is a must stay place when around Tamworth!

We had 2 great nights staying at Sheffield Farm Stay. The owners were very welcoming & our site peaceful with a wonderful view of the farm & the landscape around. We will definitely be going back there to stay when we are in the area again.

This was a great experience and Rick showed us everything about fish farming, very knowledgeable. Instructions on how to get there were clear and Ricks number provided to call when you arrived. We were made very welcome from the minute we arrived, the donkey shower looked great but ran out of time to use it. Definitely worth a stop for a group & good for kids plenty of room to explore. Perfect spot for a rustic wedding. The only downside was the dirt road on the way in which is the responsibility of the council.

Our stay at Oakey Farm was wonderful. The facilities were spotless and there was ample spots to park our van. Jenny was incredibly responsive. The pool was so refreshing and a bit of a hub for all of us camping. The trip into Tamworth was quick but we were far enough out to enjoy the stars. If I'm ever back out that way, I'll be staying again! Thanks Jenny!
